  1. GH, Joss and Cam: Friends to lovers to enemies. I love it.
  2. Okay the shot of her having to stand on her tippy toes while wearing six inches to kiss him is making me, a grown ass man, kinda melt. Yeah, that was well done and I'm just grateful it actually happened. @Vee almost had me!!!
  3. Literally the only soap opera that feels like a soap opera. GH has had an excellent sweeps so far. As someone who hasn't watched consistently in a decade I'm surprisingly heavily invested. When Ryan showed up at Wyndemere last Thursday I was legitimately shocked, even though it was telegraphed in the episode I was like "oh shît". Although the hook thing has been dragged out probably a bit too long and isn't the most compelling of mysteries (it's got to be Laura's deputy mayor, right? For all the killings that haven't been Heather anyway, the one in this promo IS Heather though), at least it's a story! It's something happening. It's not Days where the only story they can seem to tell is people fake dying or B&B where Sheila runs around the entire cast like she's Bugs Bunny and they're Elmer Fudd or Y&R where you get to watch beige people watch beige paint dry in a beige house on a beige street in Beigetown, U.S.A.
  4. I’d like someone to take a count of how many sets are used in a week. It sounds like you get Crimson Lights, TGP, Noah’s club, the Abbott mansion and various other sets in small rotation. So a bunch of establishments and one house, with maybe the destroyed Chancellor mansion, Devon’s condo and a hotel room or two thrown in for shîts and giggles. Is that accurate?
  5. Thank you! That was fast, didn't Tucker just get back to town??
  6. Thanks for more info about whether or not Erica used her married names.
  7. Does Tucker have any involvement or scenes with his son, Devon?
  8. The biggest problem is that these are merely returns. There are no stories here. Nothing is ramping up or coming to a climax or kicking off a new story. They will all just show up to do absolutely nothing. Y&R is coasting on nostalgia and familiarity, there is nothing to discuss about the current day to day plots.
  9. Thank you @Vee and @P.J. As far as I know only the Cassadines and Laura knew. Can I just say it’s effing wild that the show with the most famous rape survivor had her go on to have a child as a product of rape with a completely different man? Both of whom went on to be her husband (with the Stavros marriage being forced and not at all legally binding of course)! I will say GH does a good of not invalidating what we saw play out on screen. Nik’s birth fits in the timeline and do does Trina’s if you account for the sliding scale of soap opera time.
  10. What’s the timeline of Portia and Taggert’s marriage? Was he supposed to be married to her when on the show in the late 90s/early 2000s? An offscreen wife he never mentioned?
  11. As soon as I saw Spencer brushing Trina's back with his fingers I knew the Sprina fans were gonna lose it lol I love that, "premier young love birds". Even with Joss and Dex going hot and heavy every other week they're not getting anywhere near the ink Spencer and Trina are.
  12. Toward the end of her run I knew she was better than the crap the show gave her, happy to hear this.
  13. I wonder how much of it is the cast. MTS and PB definitely don't want to work with her and they wield a lot of influence.
  14. It never would. If they'd get their heads out of their asses they'd bring back VR. I don't care, it's been 15 years and I'm never gonna shut up about it.,
  15. JFC finally. I also have a feeling they're getting married. They've been dropping some hints. Like Trina and Spencer's whole conversation about her dating a man with a child. Yesterday Stella telling Spencer he wasn't family. Portia saying she was fine with Trina not being at the bouquet toss because she didn't want her to catch it anyway. There have been a few others I can't remember at the moment.
  16. She's had three successful co-hosts...
  17. I've always liked that he never found out. I don't know, I guess I just thought it was neat that a soap secret wasn't revealed to everyone. Can we get a tally of the number of women on soaps who gave birth to twins without realizing it? OLTL Viki (Jessica/Natalie) Y&R Sharon (Cassie/Mariah) GH Nina (Nelle/Willow) Susan (Jason/Drew) ATWT Iva (Lily/Rose) GL Alexandra (Lujack/Nick...this one I'm unsure of, did she know she'd given birth to twins?) BTW I really need this plot device to die.
  18. I didn't know the show did that well, good for Kelly. I was going to say something about working with your spouse every day but that's literally what they did on AMC. And there it was for much longer hours, with rehearsals and running lines and blocking (back when these were all separate duties unlike now where they'll grouped together), so they're very used to being around each other constantly.
  19. So everyone else is a doctor or a nurse and Curtis is a...detective. Even Sonny, the thug. Sus.
  20. Props to Cassandra James for stealing focus like that and honestly props to the show for letting her. A transwoman smack dab in the middle looking sexy. It's not as good as her having a real story but I'm trying to be positive.
  21. That reminds me that I had no idea that Gia or Taggert (I figured the actor was at least part black but no clue about the character) were supposed to be black until their mother showed up. Marisa Ramirez, despite those braids, was decidedly not black. She's been on Blue Bloods for a decade btw @Vee. I know.
  22. @janea4old I would never advocate for anyone to shut up about rape, my apologies if it came across that. I was simply talking from a cultural/publication standpoint. I don't even know how you would release anything related to GH without dedicating a substantial section to Luke and Laura. They could contextualize it, they could lambast it (as they should) but that would still result in their story getting a good amount of coverage. To the majority of people even aware of General Hospital, they are General Hospital. I don't even need to see Karla Mosley on daytime again. Napiera Groves, sure why not.
  23. Luke and Laura were unquestionably disgusting but to act like they didn't deserve a 6 page spread and aren't intrinsic to GH's popularity is absurd. Just accept it and move on. I can't believe we're even discussing this.
  24. Watching a lot of San Cristobel clips lately and MAN, this is bad soap. Laughably bad. Everything is arche and nonsensical and not in a fun way like Days in the 90s, it screams desperation. Characters squeezed into situations that don't read as authentic for any of them. I started watching just before story kicked off (and didn't stick with it at the time), I can't even imagine being a long time fan and having to suffer through this. And listen, no hate to Kim Zimmer but she sticks out like a sore thumb in this story. It's like "whose mom is this?" every time she pops up in a scene. The amount of money they invested into this stupidity is astounding. The set they built for Richard and Cassie's wedding was enormous (I don't even know how they found that much room in NY) and hideous. It's crazy to think even the lowest rated soaps could still afford this sort of opulence. Actually what were the ratings like during this period? I wonder how many rubberneckers they attracted.
