  2. Stevie Nicks released this song on Sept. 26 and she'll be on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 12. (Don't know if she'll sing this then, but hopefully) I wrote this song a few months after Roe v. Wade was overturned. It seemed like overnight, people were saying “what can we, as a collective force, do about this…” For me, it was to write a song. It took a while because I was on the road. Then early one morning I was watching the news on TV and a certain newscaster said something that felt like she was talking to me~ explaining what the loss of Roe v. Wade would come to mean. I wrote the song the next morning and recorded it that night. That was September 6, 2022. I have been working on it ever since. I have often said to myself, “This may be the most important thing I ever do. To stand up for the women of the United States and their daughters and granddaughters ~ and the men that love them. This is an anthem. ~ Stevie Nicks fyi Stevie Nicks is backed by Sheryl Crow, who plays guitar and bass as well as singing backing vocals. Crow also co-produced the song with 13-time Grammy winning Dave Cobb. https://www.theguardian.com/music/2024/sep/27/stevie-nicks-song-abortion-rights-the-lighthouse-fleetwood-mac Lyrics here: https://genius.com/Stevie-nicks-the-lighthouse-lyrics
  3. Stevie first tweeted this on Sept. 11, and @Vee posted it upthread, tagging @DRW50 https://x.com/StevieNicks/status/1833910104695198169 and @Khan replied: ------------------------------------------------ Update: Stevie Nicks just released a new original political song Sept. 26 and will be on Saturday Night Live October 12 -- See next post: .

  11. Hurricane Helene expected to land in Florida today Sept. 26, 2024, with epicenter between Tampa and Tallahassee. But it's a very wide storm, so the damage extends beyond the "cone" shown on maps. The storm could possibly to give storm surges of 6-20 feet in some areas. Things can change. But as of now it's expected to rapidly head north into Atlanta, still with very high winds and lots of rain. Updates here: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#Helene Note the storm width! from nhc.noaa.gov: "Helene is a very large hurricane. Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 345 miles (555 km)" That's the distance from the center, so the diameter could be twice that, depending on how you measure the spiral. This post will be out of date, and the trajectory could have changed by the time you read this, as the conditions evolve quickly. So go to reliable sources for updates.
  12. The Canadian sites reported what aired in Canada (which is what Sharon Newman *thinks* happened). If (and only if) Vail Bloom is off the show, the U.S. sites wouldn't confirm it until it airs in the USA.
  13. Another possibility is that Sharon wrapped up a pile of nothing, thinking it was Heather, and put *that* in the trunk of the car, and then drove to the bridge and threw that wrapped pile of nothing off the bridge.

  15. This is the Canadian day-ahead recap (Wed. Sept. 25 CDN, Thurs. Sept 26 US) https://soapsspoilers.com/the-young-and-the-restless/recaps/september-26-2024-sharon-disposes-of-heather I read a few other recaps, all the same, and I saw some tweeted scenes. Sharon knocks Heather down. Sharon blacks out, then awakens and discovers that Heather is dead. The Cameron Kirsten hallucination convinces Sharon to wrap up Heather's body, clean up the apartment, drag the body down the stairs, put the body in the trunk of the car, and then throw Heather's body off a bridge. Obviously the Cameron stuff is a hallucination, but it seems that Sharon really did knock Heather down, blacked out briefly, then cleaned up the crime scene, and threw Heather's body off the bridge into the water. Two questions: 1) Did Sharon knocking Heather out cause Heather to die? Or did someone else kill Heather during the time Sharon was blacked out? 2) Was Heather actually dead? Or just unconscious with a bleeding head? Will Heather start to drown and then awaken in time to save herself? At any rate Sharon believes she killed Heather. (The entire episode could have been a dream but it seems that Heather really did get thrown off the bridge) --------- The following episode (Thurs. Sept. 26 CDN, Fri. Sept. 27 US) will be the standalone for Sharon Case's 30th anniv.
  16. Well it says that characters "Marcus" and "Jillian" both live in D.C. https://www.tvinsider.com/1148106/the-gates-characters-casting-cbs/ But no they haven't yet named the Maryland suburb where "Fairmont Estates" is located.
  17. Since I've been a member here, there wasn't a rule on that until today. See the new "can't edit" thread here:
  18. I sometimes make a minor typo but don't notice until hours later or the next day. Then I go back and edit my typo, without comment. When I have additional info that's minor, or I have a minor clarification, which isn't worth making an entirely new post about, then, in such cases, I edit the original by saying "edit to add" or "edit to clarify". I don't abuse this. If I said something that I later discover was wrong info, I quote my original and state that I was wrong.
  19. Duplicate thread, this new info was already posted on the existing thread here:
