  1. I have no way of knowing if these tweets are legit or not, but LOL at the Llanview reference @slick jones casting info https://x.com/chrisilcox/status/1866764111901548749
  2. True, when Chapman played Gloria as John Abbott's wife, in opposition to Eileen Davidson as her stepdaughter Ashley, Chapman played Gloria as OTT sometimes but with unexpected moments of nuance and vulnerability. Gloria was her own person back then. More recently Gloria has been written as only OTT. Chapman does what she can but it's poor material. And she's aired only a few times in the past several years.
  3. I thought Judith Chapman's best work was as Ginny Blake on GH. Her work as Anjelica on DAYS was acceptable but not as great as Jane Elliot. Judith's character Gloria on Y&R was written as over-the-top, so she played it as written but I didn't enjoy the character. On Y&R, Gloria is the mother of Rikaart's character Kevin, but it was stupid to bring her to DAYS as the mother of Rikaart's Leo. Ron just propping Leo by doing this crossover that didn't work. I mean Judith played Diana as Ron wrote her, but I hate how he wrote her.
  4. Genie and Jonathan met on Bare Essence but worked more closely on North and South and their marriage resulted from that. (and yes I got carried away, too)
  5. Random coincidence that two conversations on this page tie together. Yes James Read played George Hazzard on North and South. Genie Francis played his sister-in-law in that series. Jonathan Frakes played Read's brother and Genie's husband, and then Jonathan and Genie married in real life.
  6. I laughed so hard at this, as others said, the hilarious A.I. style of writing, and the shade. Yet I myself would have said in all seriousness: As a Y&R viewer, I admired Gina Tognoni for portraying Phyllis as someone who, despite battling her own demons, fought with an unshakable tenacity for justice regarding the crimes committed against her by Victor. I also admired Sandra Nelson for her complex portrayal of Phyllis as a villain who insidiously took over Danny's life.
  7. Some of the above-posted dates for the specific casting announcements - might be off by one airdate. A few of the recent spoiler pics from the past several days seem to have been labeled with a JPI episode # that was off by one airdate. Maybe some of the scenes from the week of Dec. 2nd might have been shifted to a different airdate during the editing process? (I'm not sure, it's just a guess, I could be wrong.)
  8. Michael Fairman has photos of Ms. Matus as the mother Catharina character, holding a gun. She appears Mon. Dec. 9, Wed. Dec. 10, and Thurs. Dec. 11. https://michaelfairmantv.com/susan-elena-matus-debuts-as-catharina-days-of-our-lives/2024/12/07/
  9. more casting via Janet Di Lauro for soaphub Susan Elena Matus makes her debut as Catharina, Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) on Wednesday, December 11. She also appears on Thursday, December 12. Soaphub refers to this character as Cat's mother. SoapOperaNews refers to this character as the mother of all four Greene children. https://soapoperanews.net/2024/12/07/susan-elena-matus-gets-role-on-days-of-our-lives/ ETA: this is her instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susanelenamatus/
  10. casting via Janet Di Lauro Derek Yates is back as Kerry. He interacts with Al Calderon’s Javi and Greg Rikaart’s Leo on Wednesday, December 11.

  14. https://x.com/thejonlindstrom/status/1864318488610832402 Jon Lindstrom @thejonlindstrom December 4, 2024 I know many of you have been sending healing thoughts to Lynn and her family in the last few days. Wayne was such a vital and powerful soul that it’s hard to imagine him no longer on this plane with us mere mortals. But I have to take a moment to acknowledge my friend Lynn’s bravery, grace, dignity and, most of all, her unwavering devotion to the love of her life and husband for over 4 decades. It is an inspiration and an example of what true, committed, unvarnished love can be. I’m sending her my thoughts along with all of you. I know she appreciates it, so keep ‘em coming. #LynnHerring #WayneNorthrup #BeautifulSouls @GeneralHospital #GeneralHospital #GH @DaysPeacock #DaysOfOurLives

  16. Now that Peyton's first scenes have aired, I can post this link to his interview (which was already posted on a spoiler thread) https://www.tvinsider.com/1164226/days-of-our-lives-doug-williams-iii-peyton-meyer-interview/ There's nothing spoilerish now (unless anyone reading is a few days behind, then don't click to see the photos). I'll just quote the relevant passage here: Meyer was excited to see that his first episode was also a milestone for the 59-year-old show. “When I got the script, I saw that it was episode 15,000, and I was like, ‘Oh, my, this is insane. Huge celebration for the cast and the crew. This is kind of cool that this is my first episode,’ ” he recalls. “So I walked on set with the excitement, obviously, of a new show and meeting a whole bunch of new people.” But the mood at the studio caught him off-guard. While he was thrilled to be starting his Days run, the cast was not only saying goodbye to Doug Williams but also to his portrayer, Bill Hayes, who passed away in January after 54 years on the show. “When I got on set, it was really down,” Meyer relays. “The energy was really low and I had no idea what was going on. We ended up filming the scenes and after, one of the crew members came up to me and she was like, ‘Just so you know, this is a very emotional day today and the fact that you were able to do that scene and carry a positive attitude into the set was so amazing to watch because I don’t know if you know what’s going on, but it’s very heavy today so thank you for coming in so professionally.’ I think it kind of worked better that I wasn’t fully aware of everything that was going on.” end quote from tvinsider. My thoughts: Not only did the show forget to tell the actor Peyton how the former character Robert's name should be pronounced -- it sounds like the show didn't tell him anything important at all!
  17. For anyone unaware, Cady McClain is the artistic director of a theater in New York. She can do occasional visits to California for filming but I don't think she wants to work full time in Los Angeles. https://www.axialtheatre.org/whoweare Her work at the Axial Theatre has been her main job for several years. (In the summer of 2023, she acted in a summer theatre show in New Jersey) Cady was married to Jon Lindstrom for a long time and they were bicoastal with homes in Calif and NY. Since they announced their separation 8 months ago, she's mostly in NY. She is now also teaching acting in New York https://michaelhowardstudios.com/our-instructors/cady-mcclain/
  18. Ewww to the idea of Sonny with Alexis. Just no. Alexis deserves better.
  19. Agreed that Annika does really well with the awful stuff they write.
  20. There was an interview from April when these scenes were filmed. I think Ron said some things were being rewritten almost up to the day of filming, as they were trying to include returning cast schedules etc
  21. More pics: Soaphub labeled these pics for Dec. 4 but apparently at least some are for Dec. 5? Hope at the cemetery. https://soaphub.com/days-of-our-lives/spoilers-days/preview-shocked-hope-sees-doug-williams-iii-plus-where-shawn-belle-stand/
  22. not a typo. There are spoiler pics of Steve Olson and Leo Stark interacting in the square. Soaphup labeled these pics as Dec 3 but apparently it should say Dec. 4 https://soaphub.com/days-of-our-lives/spoilers-days/days-of-our-lives-spoilers-preview-shawn-visits-belle-plus-leo-and-steve/
  23. from Christie Clark https://www.instagram.com/p/DDIVy0XxtcA/ monkeywenches (Christie Clark) Wayne Northrop was the most gloriously funny cowboy who adored his family! So,very sorry for your loss Lynn, Hank, Grady & @deidrehall_official & all the days fans & my days family. Wayne had me in stitches nearly every time the stage mangers called action. This kept me on my toes & taught me to enjoy the ride. Drake & Wayne played the same part & had a similar vein running thru their blood, family first, enjoy every morsel of life & if you can make folks laugh.
  24. https://www.instagram.com/p/DDIKE3Pyf1x/ December 3, 2024 billsusanhayes For all of you who have joined me in spirit through the days of Billy’s passing and Doug’s memorial on Days of Our Lives, I thank you ❤️ It was a privilege to share my joy in his life with so many via television. Our Corday Family honored us with a particular love story that began 54 years ago in front of a television camera and ended there, too. How amazing! My darling was a steadfast, inspiring father to five children. He helped build a hospital in Africa, starred on Broadway for Rodgers and Hammerstein, conducted choirs… and I could never tell you the half of it. He held me up with love so true. That’s all that keeps me or Julie standing now… recalling those glorious yesterdays and looking forward to more tomorrows. #DougandJulie #BillHayes (adding extra spacing to prevent the random thing that happens on SON sometimes when IG posts bleed down into the following post)
