1994 was a tough year with so much chaos going on behind the scenes at the show. Patrick Mulcahey has spoken about it on Twitter a few times - about how amazing the experience with Curlee was, and then when a series of external factors made it too complicated to work there for her (and ultimately him), his own HW-ing tenure after Curlee left being heartbreaking, and why he needed to go.

Stafford didn't help herself on the demand front by publicly claiming that she would "never return" to Y&R only to do so when GH wouldn't nudge on her contract demands.

It was always established in the original show that Becky excelled in school and was popular. Basically that she had a strong future ahead of her, but when she eloped with Mark, she threw all that potential away to be with him. Thus her life was never able to be what it could have been. Part of why she eloped with Mark in the first place was because she was pissed that Dan and Roseanne didn’t have enough money to send her to college.

Janet didn't really help her career either by releasing some truly awful albums in the 00's and then going on a near decade break from music to focus on crap Tyler Perry movies and marrying a rich Arab businessman for his fortune... But what happened to her in the immediate fallout was both racist and sexist to the highest degree.

Marvel also released a Madripoor tie-in site with direct references to mutants (including Wolverine and Mystique), and then erased all X-Men related references a few hours later. Revised site is still up though. https://www.exploremadripoor.com/ I know Feige confirmed the use Madroippor was a last minute addition allotted to them because of the Fox acquisition.

Every episode has been better than the last. Haven't seen the 4th episode yet, but I thought episode 3 was the best yet.

I think Long became more structured during her second stint. But maybe that was more so Curlee/Calhoun's influence.

WarnerMedia Studios CEO, Ann Sarnoff, has said there are no plans to continue on with Snyder. Maybe he can pitch the Daredevil reboot he’s talked about recently in the press to Marvel/Feige and leave the mess over at WB behind.

Haha, yeah, I would think that would be a working title. Though I have seen some float around the idea that Feige is hesitant about using the X-Men name given the baggage from the Fox universe, or that his focus is more so on establishing mutantkind first before delving into the X-Men in a rebooted franchise. Who knows, I am just ready for them to start f.ucking saying “mutant” in the MCU (which I think will still happen in phase 4).

Yeah, I kind of get the feeling there may be more with Ralph that could play out later down the road. Can we chalk his speed powers up to Agatha’s spell, or does he actually have those powers? It seemed pretty vague to me. Obviously he got out of his trance once Monica broke that necklace. Coincidentally, this finale comes as The Illuminerdi is reporting that Feige and team finally have some concrete plans for mutants in the MCU (beyond the already confirmed Deadpool 3). Feige is definitely being cautious with this given the massive implication it will have on the entire universe.

Overall, I thought this finale was a really mixed bag. There were some touching moments like Wanda fighting alongside the kids and her last “goodbye” with Vision.Wanda also becoming the Scarlet Witch was also breathtaking. But they crammed way too much into this finale I felt. This is a case where I wish there was more than 9 episodes. And I really hope there was a point to casting Evan Peters in this. Who the hell is Ralph Bohner if this isn’t some version of Pietro/Peter/Quicksilver? I kind of get the feeling there is probably more here with this character that we may see play out later.

I wonder if Agatha’s link to the Fantastic Four will ever be explored in the MCU. Probably not, as I don’t ever see them exploring Franklin Richards. Hahn is a revelation though.

So cheaply executed too. These shows really have no budget anymore. Tragic.

While many would say this is in line with how Erica Kane would react - apparently the blue ribbon panel had a good laugh at this scene when Lucci submitted it as her Emmy reel that year. The soap press generally wasn’t that kind to Lucci around this time as well.

“Super Powered Individuals.” Just [!@#$%^&*] say “Mutant” already! Evan Peters is so damn charismatic and brings so much energy to his scenes. Really hope he’s really Quicksilver and it’s not a red herring
