  1. So, I guess this may be the Hickman-era way of atoning for House of M, and possibly re-retconning Wanda and Pietro to being mutants and Magneto's children The Tragic Death At The Hellfire Gala Is Revealed As The Trial Of Magneto Begins
  2. I was oddly surprised by how cute they are.
  3. Frank Valentini as robotic as ever.
  4. JMW’s reel in isolation is hilarious, but she won, so…
  5. These lead categories are terrible, but reflective of how bad the soaps are.
  6. Maurice Benard for the same performance he’s been giving for 30 [!@#$%^&*] years.
  7. LOL at Y&R winning for writing.
  8. Is Cady McClain the first actress to win 3 Daytime Emmy’s for 3 different roles? All in different categories too. I know Justin Deas has won for 3 different roles, but those were split between Lead and Supporting.
  9. Sean Kanan with a tie only Liberace could pull off.
  10. This feels cheaper than a 90’s cable access program. Fitting for what daytime television is these days though.
  11. I also don't think she worked with great writers again after Curlee/Demorest at GL. The fact that she still singles out that time in her career for writing says a lot - she was able to bulldoze over other writers or was given very poor ones to execute her many mandates since then.
  12. JFP gave an honest exit interview when she left AW (it used to be posted here). She basically said working there had become too political and she had to leave on her own accord - I think she had certain mandates to hit while she was there.
  13. Viki being a lovesick puppy on the verge of crying ever 5 seconds over Mark fuckin' Derwin was insufferable to watch.
  14. The producer that allegedly fat shamed and chased Genie away was the late Carol Scott. I have no doubt JFP doesn't care one way or another about Genie though.
  15. Alan is going to have Nancy Curlee and Stephen Demorest on his show on 7/1. Expect crappy questions and a lackluster interview from him, but sharing for those interested:
  16. Oh god, this hack team will just make her a cartoon. Love Janine, but no trust in this team to do her justice.
  17. 1994 was a tough year with so much chaos going on behind the scenes at the show. Patrick Mulcahey has spoken about it on Twitter a few times - about how amazing the experience with Curlee was, and then when a series of external factors made it too complicated to work there for her (and ultimately him), his own HW-ing tenure after Curlee left being heartbreaking, and why he needed to go.
  18. It was always established in the original show that Becky excelled in school and was popular. Basically that she had a strong future ahead of her, but when she eloped with Mark, she threw all that potential away to be with him. Thus her life was never able to be what it could have been. Part of why she eloped with Mark in the first place was because she was pissed that Dan and Roseanne didn’t have enough money to send her to college.
  19. Janet didn't really help her career either by releasing some truly awful albums in the 00's and then going on a near decade break from music to focus on crap Tyler Perry movies and marrying a rich Arab businessman for his fortune... But what happened to her in the immediate fallout was both racist and sexist to the highest degree.
  20. Joss Whedon isn't even fit to open a f.ucking letter.
  21. I think Long became more structured during her second stint. But maybe that was more so Curlee/Calhoun's influence.
