GH: November 2024 Discussion Thread
11-11 Well, it's nice to get a Holly vs Anna catfight before Holly runs out of town again. lol. That said...NO to Jason/Anna. If they don't quit... And what the frak was that opening? Perhaps I'm now getting too used to the swooping camerawork on the past week of Y&R now that Ed Scott is back, but that car crash was abrupt. No built-up whatsoever. And honestly, I had forgotten about Natalia. And ugh at Kristina. So...propping. I did love the scenes between Mac/Robert and Sasha/Felicia though. Holly might have been the best things as of late to happen for Mac because it's giving him some story since he has lessen since the Cody reveal. And Felicia talking sense into Sasha was beautiful. Given all the talk about how the writers wrote Felicia out, hearing her express regret and not being able to be around when Georgie died was well-done. Ugh at Drew/Willow. Drew is coming across as a creeper now. And dare I say it...obsessed? Hehe at Michael seeing them.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I thought that was clear when Bravo dared to bring back Shady Phae Phae. I thought it was a good interview though. The plot thickens for me. Like I said above, when RHOA starts up again, they better SHOW IT ALL. And they know it! And worse...Kenya knows it, too.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC Uh oh. Is that a slump in the action? I actually felt this episode was more interesting than last week's. But there was a bit of a dip. There's something about housewives trips that have the husbands on them. And outside of M2M...and NJ...we really don't see them. The last few episodes, the husbands have been carrying. And this episode was no different with Bob's Hubby putting his foot down about anyone mentioning his stepdaughter, John trying to do anything to be sure Lisa does not get kicked off the trip, and then Seth/Meredith vs Shawn. MMMMmmm Shawn with that Reverse Uno Card was something else. Not to be outdone, the main thing for the ladies was seeing how long Lisa could go without giving an apology. lol. I can't believe she (apparently) gave one to Bob. I only heard her giving one to Angie K (finally) and then that was in the middle of fighting. I really did not like her trying to avoid an apology by trying to stir up Little Girl/Justin. GIRL, EAT SOME CROW. I did not like fact she could not do this for one of her oldest friends and over HEATHER??? smh. Her last talk with Bob did her no favors. I was Team Bob on that. HEATHER. MEREDITH. Well, I cannot say she did not do anything. If it wasn't the real worries she was giving about Seth flying off early from the trip...is there more to it again?...there was her running feud with Angie K by way of Shawn. I liked how Shawn explained it all and it does sound like he was taken out of context. I'm shocked Meredith did not catch it. MARY. Mary continued to give the real. Her scenes with Robert and the girl was just something else. You could tell she wanted to say something, but she couldn't figure out how. I continue to look forward to seeing what is coming. Spoiler alert: the dinner is next week with her and Meredith though. LITTLE GIRL. Smh. I admit she has been slooooooooowwwwwwwwwwly winning me over. But she appeared to have regress a bit. I'm going to need the Little Girl in the first episode of this season back. Because Lisa deflecting at brunch by trying to get Little Girl lit up...I wanted her to be more witty with Lisa and flip it. Good to see Justin had her back though. ANGIE K. Gooood, Shawn is fine AF. I mean FOINE. I got Painted on Clothes Shawn. I got Shorts Shawn. I got Shirtless Volleyball Shawn. I got Shirtless in Swimming Trunks Shawn. I got Spread Eagle Shawn...and rewinded. lol. But it was nice to see her and him just be a married couple. They were a hoot and surprisingly in sync during the sex game. And like I said above...Reverse Uno Card. lol. It seems Angie K is paying Meredith dust now versus them feuding. Good she is going to try to turn the other cheek. LISA. The images of all the husbands coming for her at brunch is not an image that I will soon forever. lol. Poor John. As soon as Lisa would be done with one, here comes another husband to whack her on the head. lol. The fact she was the one who started it by deflecting on to Little Girl rather than just sit alone with Bob and give an apology was wild. And again...all of this...FOR HEATHER??? Bob is even richer than Heather so I don't get it. And Lisa said it all by not being able to verbalize her feelings when Bob is in her face...but talking mess in her Confessional. And her talking crap about flying coach when Bob was in earsight. She's no friend. BOB. No wonder she eventually fell out with Lisa. Lisa ain't your friend, Girl! Here she was being an adult and trying to talk it out. And all Lisa was doing was deflecting. If Lisa was as much of a boss as she thought she was, she should have just left. Just smh. And OOPS at Bob's Hubby shutting her up quick when Angie K put her foot in her mouth by asking about Bob's daughter. He was grumpy, but he gives signs of just showing up for his wife, not that he wants to be on the show. Understandable. Good episode. And next week (not showed, but clips are out)...it seems like Meredith vs Mary is next week. Looking forward to it. It should get the momentum going again.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Well, you know RHOA has been paying for Nene's sins of a lawsuit almost since she left. 😜 I really hope and pray they pull a BH Season 9 on this forthcoming RHOA and show EVERYTHING so we the audience can form a complete pictures before Kenya's maybe exit in the middle of the season.

ARTICLE: ‘Beyond the Gates’ Formally Announces Writing Team, ‘Robert Guza Jr. Named Co-Head Writer Alongside Creator Michele Val Jean
I like that as well. Say what you will...and we have...but Guza can write good sweeps events. I would like to think soaps used to have continuity workers, but wasn't that discontinued?

11-8 Jason to the rescue!!! lol. But we were overdue an explosion so cool. Meanwhile, NLG continue to give a masterclass on grief. I haven't found a false note at all in Alexis dealing with Sam's death at all. And these scenes with Olivia...the first time they have been seriously interacting since the Ned Slept with Alexis storyline? It just had such gravitas. I also liked the BLQ/Dante scenes. Awwww Dante. And I was right there with BLQ when she found out Sam and Dante was engaged. And then the plot point of where the lovely blended family that I've grown to love would live. I liked that Alexis and he are tabled it for now, and everyone will be staying at the Q mansion. LOVE there are so many people on the grounds again. Tracy and Cody scheming??? YES, PLEASE. Or Tracy scheming period. This show is long overdue a scheme team that isn't a bunch of psychos. Did I mention Jason to the rescue? lol. Overall, I would say it was a good if uneven week. It's like if the New/Old Writers had their way, the Robert/Holly/Sasha storyline would be A story. But it's the continued aftermath of Sam's death and how it ripples out that made it into B story. And the Michael/Willow/Drew mess was easily the C plot.

I was hoping when it was said in dialogue that Hurricane Jill was coming that you would tune in. And just in time for Ed Scott to come back and give old Y&R production, too.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
LOL. I can't believe that of all the Fox Force Five, Ex Soap Opera Star is the only one with her marriage completely intact. Well, people say that the fact that RHOP is having of its best seasons ever so far now that Eric isn't there while NY...which had a great freshman start IMHO...is having one of the worst season ever does make a person wonder if Eric IS the problem. Thank you! I'm growing to love the individual scenes for sure. And there...it's clear that Eric is at least smart enough to have continuing stories going on. And none of them are boring. I'm soooo in love with the Abe/Mel bromance, and I was happy to see it was not a one-off. And I do feel that is new ground for RH to explore with someone like Abe because it does happen. My old friend groups are littered with them. And I too am getting used to see Sai and Ubah around each other and Sai around Erin less. And it's bringing out so much fun in both Sai and Ubah. And yes on Rebecca. This was the first episode she truly showed her personality, but it made me wonder how much has been on the cutting room floor due to the party being a flashback. I totally understand re: to watch or not. Like I said, I want to see Ubah vs Brynn because it seems to be getting firmly established from what I can tell. Now though I'm side-eyeing.

11-7 What was I just saying about Frank finding any way to get a guy shirtless on this show? I didn't mind though. Looks like Curtis has been working out. A meh episode. First one in a bit actually. It's been funny to see Sonny just sitting with people and the focus not be on him. Wagger who? lol. But first it has been with Dante. And now he's doing it with Alexis. And just Alexis being in grief was the only thing I didn't mind in this episode. Oh...and Lucas/Ryan was the other highlight. It was nice to see them bond. So I guess if the plan is to slowly have them come back together, Carly will be the roadblock. I wouldn't mind that. Carly is overdue to act up. Shockingly Sidwell is going on me. And we know I am not living for any moment where Anna has to beg period.

Y&R Returns!!
I have said the same re: Sharon is being drugged for a while now. Moreso after Mariah revealed that Sharon has been taking her meds. It was the only thing that could make sense. So I'm assuming these two are behind it and I would like to see how and hope the reveal makes sense. I would love it if it was Daisy. And it makes sense as well. Heck, I'm surprised Sheila hasn't come looking for her other grandchild yet. And before she left, Daisy was dragging Phyllis a few times which was a bonus.

I do wonder if beside Ed Scott's return having immediate impact, if I am liking it as well because Y&R have new writers in house, too. Ah!!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC Well, I finished last week. I thought the episode was okay. A good start to this cast trip. It was nice to have the husbands around to give some humor. And watching the ladies try to be mean girls before trying to mend fences was silly, but fun silly. And I enjoyed Bob gathering Lisa all the way together. All Heather had to do was take some accountability and she would have been on the trip as well. But nooooo she's the HBIC, and can never do that. So out she was. And what was the first thing she did? She went to Lisa and Meredith and told HER version of what happened at Bob's...not the REAL version. It was just as disrespectful that Lisa even called Heather while on that trip. Well, she could have. Just do it in her room later on. I loved Angie K called out the double standard of it because it's true. If anyone of them had done it to Lisa on one of Lisa's trips, they would have never heard the end of it. So Bob gathered. Production rolled back the receipts on each and every time Bob mentioned that she's been there for Lisa. And now Lisa can't even have her old friend's back. I was with Bob when she said go with God if she thinks Heather is a better friend than Bob is because Bob is not a yes person. I really love none of Lisa's techniques worked on Bob so she had no choice, but to backpedal. Cuz Bob laid it all out. Did Lisa need a visual aid? lol. Let me get into tonight.

Y&R: November 2024 Discussion Board
There's a reason I do the Sweep Threads asking will be Sweeps...or Sleeps here. It's like a running joke at this point. But I agree that when JG does still have moments when things are going good. And they will be that way for a while. His writing just errs and flows too much. I would say before now...the last time the episodes had any flow that hit the whole canvas was during Ashley's storyline once everyone started to realize she had alters and hit another level of flow when a third of the cast hit Paris. And since Ashley's storyline climaxed (for now?) in Paris, the flow to the writing slowly left again. So it's good to see the momentum again. Oh? Why not if you don't mind me asking.

11-13 Loose note...YOU BETTA SING, ANA!!!! Oh, how I've missed Loren Lott!!! Where do I even start? Other than the dresses. LOL!!! I was worried when I saw pictures of Nikki's dress, but seeing it on my screen...that top works perfectly with that. And blue is clearly becoming MTS's color. Other highlights were Ana's, Audra's (YOU GO, GIRL!!!), Victoria (love the ponytail!), Ashley, Diane (I know she didn't crash hehe), and of course the wedding girl Abby. So sweeping camera angles in the openings are really going to be a thing. lol. I thought it was very interesting that they started this episode just like they started their last episode milestone episode with Abby in that room. Really funny since that last time she was marrying Chance. And how they had the ranch set up and used space was really good. And that angle when Victor interrupted Devon, Lily, Nate, Yolanda, and Ana with the camera over the table...mmmm. And to see so many of the cast was cute. I see you in that suit, Josh Morrow. 😜 I too enjoyed Jack and Ashley talking anew. It's been forever. And of course, Ashley will be there talking sense. EAT HIS ASS, VICTOR. EAT...HIS...ASS. I'm so serious. lol. Thank you for wiping that smug look off Billy's face like I expected him to. Him telling Billy to swallow his ego for his NIECE...YAASSSS!!! CHECK HIM. lol. But I loved that whole scene where Billy pulled Lily aside to warn her, Jill wants in, she and Victor exchange a look...that Billy and Lily catch...that was well-executed. Viva La Jill!!! She was still looking fierce today. And just the tale that JW was telling with her face as she was talking to Billy at Chancellor was such a masterclass of acting. You could tell Jill was so conflicted on what to say to him...that Victor had won...that Billy was fired. Even though he did everything she wanted. I didn't feel a thing for Billy, but I felt plenty for Jill in that moment. And of course, Jill would not be Jill if she didn't get into it with Esther...who also looked good. And AHA!!!!!!!!!! If Sharon lost her phone, then WHO is sending Phyllis texts? And how the episode played out it COULDN'T be Sharon. Meaning I'm probably right and someone is drugging her!!!!!!!! Which probably means that she did not kill Heather. Finally a turn in this storyline!!! And yes, I loved the Neil AND Dru mention.
