Not silly at all. The good news is that Stefan could be a force on the show because he still has so many connections. Like has been mentioned, it would definitely give Laura something to do. And with the Spencers resurgence, could you imagine Stefan stepping back into it all? Would I love Stefan back if SN was free though...YES, PLEASE. I just currently don't trust the writers to do it too well. Them and the cursed blocked filming. Just look at how Jason's return and Lucky's return are going. I had even forgotten Lois was back until she popped up this past week. An uneven feeling has cropped up again. Now if PM was still there...

Well when you put it like that cuz...Val is easily replaceable. But I guess I meant with these writers. Could they give Stefan the gravitas that he deserves? Yeah, what a horrible turn he has taken and giving off the vibe of a total creeper. I take it we are about to get a Who Killed Drew mystery then? Mmmmm gothic roots. I like all of this. But a Spencer recast comes with its own troubles at the moment. Yeah, I could see PM doing it justice. And the strike team whoever they may probably could, too. And yes, Stefan was not one to mess with. Val though...? Not so much.

From what I remember it seem that way. Didn't someone call her out on it, too? So did I. They should stay at odds since the writers don't want them to ever be in a truce. Given they both have kids with Sam, I expect them to really get into it with each other. He really is. That smile as he was giving Molly the cupcake with the candle was swoonworthy. THIS. Taste!! I come to love Steve, but I met SH as Stefan and perhaps my love of Wuthering Heights is showing, but I was smitten. I've never seen a character on a soap like him at that point and his intellect was just...Mmm. I thought they were popular so I love it here, but it always surprises me to hear any dislike. Perhaps I related more because I was the 'gatekeeper' for my family growing up. I remember Alexis having her crush on Sonny and how neurotic she was about it. But I had stopped watching when it actually happened.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHOP 3 for 3. It was low-key until the end, but just like NY...it was the individual scenes for me. Unlike NY, one can count on the Potomac girls to give us great group scenes. Except for Ashley's, I liked them all. Stacey with her man and watching how that relationship is. Keiarna at her business working. OMG at La Dame with her cousin from her special...him with his glow-up. Wendy with her mother did not bug me...it's been like a subplot bubbling and I can't wait cuz...are we FINALLY going to meet Eddie's family? And of course...Messy Mia with her two men. Speaking of Mia, her ass ain't slick. That game she was playing when Gizelle had her and La Dame sitting down at the table. Poking the bear. And La Dame kept serving it right back to her. And even though La Dame went with a truce to make Gizelle and the other girls happy, she gave Mia that warning. Mia can go low if she wants to, but La Dame has no problem going straight to hell with her and dragging her all over the place. Don't try her when she ain't coming for you nor think you will find her. LA DAME. 'If you don't start [!@#$%^&*] with me, there won't be [!@#$%^&*].' LET HER KNOW, LA DAME GRANDE!!!! I said Mia want to be coming for that throne and La Dame stay ON...READY. And how dare Mia thought she was going to use the wounded friend excuse cuz the friends I know...would ask and not be shady. Well...will be shady to the face, not just behind the back. lol. Speaking of, I enjoyed her taking potshots at Mia again this week. And I fell out when Production PRODUCED THE VERY NEWS VIDEO I WAS SAYING WAS FLOATING AROUND LAST WEEK ON MIA. Meanwhile, La Dame is still managing her narrative with her dinner (low portion fish though...my fine dining experience showing) with her cousin. She has already said that she can't talk about it. However, the fact she was on the phone it sounded like means her cousin could be a witness on her case. So...the plot thickens...without interference to boot. GIZELLE. Another thing that made me holler...Pastor Holy Whore's engagement. Why? HE GOT MARRIED THIS WEEKEND!!! How well timed. lol. And the wedding was being dragged online because he and his new First Lady...who seem to have Gizelle's fashion sense or lack...were dressed like a scene from the forthcoming WICKED. Also well-timed. A MESS!!! Meanwhile, I liked Gizelle for getting in the middle of Mia vs La Dame at Jassi's event. I saw it as a manipulating tactic for sure, but dare it if Giz didn't try. She really is working for it this year. ASHLEY. THIS...BITCA. lol. No matter what she says...she is never getting that divorce, is she? Even her own mother looked over her. WENDY. Wendy's mother...on the other hand. She really was trying to get the crown for the next Mama Joyce this year, ain't she? I do like this really was a storyline started back in Season 5 so there's that. It gives Wendy something to do so there's also that. And I really would like to know the genesis of the drama between the parents. Was what that blog that I no longer read true about the drama?? I really want to know. And the fact that this storyline appears to be continuing this year...we just might get it. And I also loved that Wendy and Stacey have enough of a bond that she was happy to see TJ show up at Jassi's event with Stacey. Her reaction was hilarious. MIA. Lord have mercy!!! I wish I could say she wasn't giving this week, but...she kinda was. A quick cameo by Jacqueline who stayed background. Her continued rivalry with La Dame. Her showing up to Jassi's event with Inc...who did look good in a suit. And of course, her drama with Gordon. And I was Team Gordon...and lord he was spilling ALL her tea. An abortion? TWO affairs??? Wait. What? And he stayed getting Mia for her continued attempts to extort the kids. I really feel he has them in mind more than her honestly. And I didn't like she was making him seem as bad as him was her. Just a mess. STACEY. A bachelorette pad, Stacey? lol. I see you!! Loved seeing a little more of her and TJ's relationship. And I love that he came with her to the event. And of course everyone was going to rib him. Now I do wonder if he IS just celibate. KEIARNA. What!?! Not her vs Mia Round 4!!! She just does not see it for Mia at all. Onto next week!!! And it sounds like the reunion is filming this week?

Yep. Not at all. He stays busy. That it's a low-key horror guarantees that I'll watch it at some point.

And as someone raised in the South...I can concur, and it really has not changed at all even though I've been out here on the West Coast for a good portion of my adult life. My classmates always get tickled online whenever I posted about soaps post-HS. And we all remember the Clarence Update on Y&R.

11-14 Now to be fair Ava...technically you harmed a pregnant woman...aka your now-BFF Nina? Or am I wrong? That said...I did love her scenes with Ric though I loathe whiny Ava. Meanwhile...is it safe to assume that when Ava wins in court that Kristina might have a breakdown, pull a gun, and shoot Ava? My highlight this episode...Jason vs Drew. HIT HIM AGAIN, JASON!!!! HIT HIM FOR ME!!! Cuz they have had tension all year so even if the reason is not personal enough for me, it was nice to see some of it explode. Then you have the Michael/Willow talk and just the anvils...was actually well done. And...NED!!! OH...? So are we not getting Jordan/Isaiah? Or even more...could the growing rift between TJ and Molly result in a TJ/Molly/Isaiah/Jordan configuration cuz that would really be messy. That said...I liked the Molly/Isaiah scene with LITTLE WOMEN which is a favorite book of mine...and Isaiah's opinion on birthdays...looking a little flirty and oh so sexy smile. Loved the Trina/TJ talk. Loathed the forced meet cute of Trina/Kai though Kai came across good in his scenes. Hehe.

IKR. I guess I've been starved for years because there has not been a moment involving Alexis that I have not been eating. Just the scene with her and Kristina where she asked about the accident I watched today. It was in how NLG played it that I stopped and rewinded it. So unexpected, but so good. It was a nice little moment that broke through the Sam grief while at the same time Alexis asked because of the grief. NLG gave that such a nice little layer that I really appreciated because I was not expecting it.

11-13 I knew these New/Old Writers did not at all care about the Drew Q storyline cuz it was clear it was a PM storyline, but Darrrrrrrn at them just speeding all the way through it with no pace, no buildup, no conflict...just DONE. He won. Nothing to see here. lol. Could have released that video during his speech or something, but no...lol. Avoidant much? Hmm...I never say this, but Spinelli cleans up riiight well. lol. And I liked Maxie's blouse. I can't believe that they are happy together and it doesn't bug me at all. Giving credit where it's due...I liked the little beat the writers did with Alexis and Kristina where she questioned if Kristina's accident was JUST an accident. Given how Kristina has been...accurate. Ugh at Kristina using the wrong babyname. Mmmm Beast in a suit. Though I felt it was a missed beat to not show Carly ask him out or he ask her out. I mean...this is going to be her next relationship, right? So where is the build? Then again...she still doesn't know it was Brennan that got her out of jail, does she? Hahahahahahaha!!! At the tiptoeing that Michael was having to do to not explode on Drew. Drew is still coming across a creeper. Willow is coming across as fake. And I want to feel sorry for Michael, but again...he slept with Sasha. I did like that CD sold Michael's sadness a little bit in his scenes with Jason. And just the sarcastic body language around Drew took me out. I DGAF about the propping of Natalia. The more I see her, the more I am growing to resent her presence. And who is Sonny to prop anyone when every time I see him with anyone not Dante or Alexis, I just sit and remember he killed an FBI agent in cold blood? I personally have always liked Gio and the idea of him and if not selling me on as a NY boi, then as a Jersey boi. Neither of which I mind. That said...he surrrre has been looking like a sneak when he pops up on the scene. And yeah given the last time Lois knew a secret, I wouldn't tell her either. And that ending...here comes Stone Cold. Not a bad episode, but highly uneven. Say what now?

11-12 Well, well. Now that I'm here for sure...called it!!! I said at the start of this Holly mess that probably it would end as Robert's swan song. And look! The quick breakup with Diane...who figured it was coming. One more Anna vs Holly scene and I was just as annoyed as Anna was. And then off they are on the plane. I guess that does explain why the total focus on the writers who I felt was really wanting to write that story last week as the A plot, but again...Sam's death. I do admit that Holly's talk about people coming for her kept making me think she might wind up where Valentin is, but fingers crossed that is not the case. I can't wait to see Mac's reaction to seeing Robert leave. Liz was my highlight. I was cheesing like a kid seeing her with Jason. Be still my Liason heart. Swoons. And I loved her continued effect to be (Just) a friend to Jason. Meanwhile, YOU BETTA READ, ELIZABETH WEBBER!!!! Cuz Lucky was on my last nerve. I can't believe he was going to just leave again with his woe is me act when he promised his son he was not about to be running away. Oh, you weren't the one to save Lulu. Well, SHE WAS SAVED!!! The lack of self-awareness...well-timed with my weekend I guess. So RH sold that to me as she read him down. Now...where's Ric? Cuz evil man or not, at least he wouldn't run off on her. And don't get me started on Jason vanishing without a word and Lucky just showing off. I think I missed Jason leaving. And now here we are with Trina's new love interest. And my feelings are...mixed. I just said that while I don't mind meet cute (see B&B Will&Electra), I do dislike when it comes across forced to me. And I felt this did. It could have been as simple as 'oops. Trina spilled a drink' on him and Trina looked smitten...as did Kai. Then he just had to add on the 'football player who just happens to be her partner who is ditching class' and ugh. Look at how that happened versus how Gio was slowly introduced and THEN months into his run...they found an (organic actually) reason for him and Trina to have an issue: Ava. Heck, even in Trina's interaction with Kai...there's the potential organic reason for conflict: Kai's friend being a problem cuz he sees Trina as uppity and Kai being pressured about his image. There could be banter around that without the typical 'hate-you/love-you' that those scenes turned into. But let me wait and see. I do love that Danny continues to see Rocco as his brother. What I loved about PM during his run was how much he made me care and get invested in Dante, Sam, and their blended family...something that really does not get touched on. And it would be so easy for them to forget about them with Sam's death. Good they are not. And Jason having to move into the Q mansion per Sam's wishes for her children...YES PLEASE. Make him grow a pair and step up as a father that isn't always worshipping at the altar of Sonny. My worry as well. She really has. There have been moments over the last few weeks she's looked breathtaking. Maxie definitely got her mojo back.- GH: November 2024 Discussion Thread
True. But that has been why I enjoyed the (very) slow ascendency of Alexis over the last few years. She slowly, but surely built herself back up. And then PM came in and went for it by getting her law license....and taking us on quite the journey. And it felt so well earned regardless of any attempts to waylay the journey. I was worried that she might fall to the wayside post-PM, but I have enjoyed that she is still in the mix in stories.- GH: November 2024 Discussion Thread
