  1. VERY. I admit to wondering, but I hope not. Chemistry or not. I really liked that scene. All Jan would be is a spoiler if they go there again with Ashley/Andre...which they shouldn't. And there are so many!!! BTG has a few male doctors that have appeared that was FOINE. Where's the one who was picking on Ashley about her performance...which could have lean to a story about Ashley dealing with her dream job...OR a story back when SPS tried to poison Laura and Ashley (who was her nurse) could have got the blame from said male doctor. Then she would have to prove how much she wanted her job and that still could have roped in Shanice who as her supervisor who would have her back. Ashley could have gone off and after some self-doubt, tried to prove her innocence to the male doctor. Probably spring into a romance. Derek of course would go obsessed.
  2. I'm thinking that way as well. Watching Vanessa this week, I can't help, but think about you and going 'it's happpppening...' I also feel that way about Dante. I will fall out if turns out if Kat/Chels's Dante and Dante Green are one and the same.
  3. Oh, I've noticed. And as Joey is such a polarizing figure on this board, I knew at some point we would start to seriously discuss it. It has slowly, but surely over these 8 months he has gone from a minor character to someone who has his fingers in so many pies. I think I mentioned it when we had the reveal about Allison's 'husband' and how it was foreshadowed months ahead of time with Joey having an escort service. That he has so many ways for him to enter the story and be that ongoing/recurring villain. And while it seem he's being set up as a nemesis for the Duprees...and they do need one...I don't think long-term cuz I'm starting to think like Vee that Vanessa will take over his whole business, but it's too noticeable to not be commented on. And now he knows Izaiah, too? A new connection and story avenue for him. I do wonder if that was always the plan for Joey or if it shows how much MVJ loves having JL on her show and finding ways to keep him. But you know I like that storyline and how it came together and like him and Vanessa.
  4. While it probably does have to do with whomever is Ashley's dad, I feel the show has done a good job establishing why Jan's POV on why she's pro-Derek in her brief scenes. Her as a single mother who had to struggle for her and Ashley, love the idea of Ashley (who is in a dependable job that is her dream job) has a man who also has a dependable (if dangerous) job. Both of which pay well so Ashley does not have to struggle like she did when Jan was raising her. And...Jan can see that Derek adores her...and soooo doesn't come across as a player.
  5. Which is what I called from the first moment Chelesa did her diva hair toss in that photoshoot where Dani and Andre first started. That is such to real life and personal experience so I was and still am glad that the show developed something like that. I'm not at all shocked at how it has organically deepened. And the fact that so many people in the audience that was against it have slowly not only come around to the two of them, but is now actively rooting for them. Lightning in a bottle. Good writing. Organic conflict. Fire chemistry. Superb acting.
  6. Why any hate? A few of us have mentioned. I think everyone has improved somewhat except for AA. And usually it is just when I'm or someone in the audience is thinking of them. I love that. For me, it really reminds me of Y&R back in the day which is a nice touch.
  7. A decade later and it hopes up perfectly. Christina's tagline...still flawless.
  8. KEEP THAT WOMAN AWAY FROM MY COUPLE!!!
  9. Yeah, I may be anti-Ashley, but Jen has been doing some good acting the last few days.
  10. HEY, DIIIEGO, HEY!!! hehe. Good to have that foine self back.
  11. Not too much on Jan. lol. The actress is capable, more interesting than Ashley, and a Have-Not. I can barely tolerate not having her brunching with Mona for the tea.
  12. I agree. I can't wait to see what everyone wears as well. Outside of B&B, BTG definitely has Best Dressed. I can't wait.
  13. Yeeeah this Winterfest is sounding like an event. Monday and a bit of last week really does appear like it is setting Silk Press Sheila up for a fall. Tuesday roped in Bill, keeping Dani/Bill/Hayley around. Now all we just need something to go on with Martin/Smitty...which could be Samantha's antics...and all the A stories from the start have turns/twists/reveals coming.
  14. As someone who watched that reunion, I just smh. Even then it was clear that Jennifer love her sum Garcelle. It will be good to see some friction there. Awww Kathryn. But I am curious about her as well. And she goes after them, she better be sure that she doesn't have any skeletons in her own closet.
  15. At a very brief glance, it sounds like I'm going to throw something at my TV.
  16. I mean with a bubble and front like that...LOL. No wonder he acted the way he did. And off of Joey's tea, Diego really did like Vanessa as more than a escort client. I think that's because there was discussion that he was a more believable man as an escort than the one Allison had. But I could be wrong.
  17. Here to the New Class!!!
  18. DIEGO IS AN ESCORT????????????????????????? And me finding that out as I was just wondering what the actor was up to is a bonus. lol. Hey, Diego, hey! hehe.
  19. I...wasn't bored of that trailer. I still don't feel a desire to watch outside of clips like all things Rachel Zoe along with @Antoyne. Love that Bravo did in fact spoil the date of when the new season starts. Sorry to see Jennifer Tilly is over Sutton. And yay to the New New Girl. I did. Someone mentioned it though a week or so ago as shade toward the Rachel Zoe promo. Production did a good job of keeping her under wraps.
  20. First of all...we are getting an EVVVVVVVVVVVVVENNNNNNNNNNNNNT!!!! I know those first few months spoiled me because we were getting an event a week and things happened at each one. And then...they stopped with the anniversary party. I think my mind is going blank, but outside of the Articulates concert and Chelesa's kidnapping...which was more a plot story than a social event...when was our last event? Come on through Winterfest. That said...I felt today's episode was off. I can't put my finger on why. It was setting up a lot which I like. And C plot Dark Derek was giving because Derek confronting Ashley on her dragging feet was loooooong overdue whether he is lying to her or not...he ain't wrong. And then there was Jacob and Naomi... And now that I have some time on that...I wanted to see the storyline play out a little bit more before I made a comment. But now? Just ugh. I think we all know I like Jacob and Naomi as a couple. Good guy. Good girl. Potential conflict due to her family and his ethics. And they look great together and you can't tell me that man don't love that woman. But so far...every time this show seem like it's about to give them a story (as in story about one of them or them dealing with some as a couple)...it comes to an abrupt story stop. Naomi and the lawsuit would have been a good spotlight for who she is as a person. It was stopped. When Naomi thought she was preggers and didn't want the baby while Jacob did, I was kinda of excited because it was something different...new for them, but I can't recall a soap where a couple fought over this in this way where one of the parties didn't give in or have a sudden change of heart and went for it. So...it was a refreshing story turn. And then...Naomi wasn't. And Jacob...actually felt a way. Now...Naomi is being too unreasonable for me. And she needs to quit. It would be one thing if Jacob was coming across as a jerk. But...HE'S NOT. So every time she has a moment, I can't help, but find myself siding with Jacob. And knowing that Izaiah was watching them as his intro scene and ran into Naomi first...does make me worry since the tension between Jacob and Naomi is still there. I do feel the writers have done such a good job with Jacob and Naomi's mess along with the Dark Derek storyline that it was nice to see the tension between all four of them today and the undercurrent of drama going on when on the surface it was just about Derek making one phone call. Them landmines. I like how they are using Winterfest to give us another Anita/Vernon story. They have been setting it up for an event. But going back to my A story template, it has been noticeable that outside of Hayley's reveal, they are letting Dani/Bill/Hayley flow, but heading to a simmer. Given all the things going on with Silk Press Sheila and how they have her showing a sympathetic side on an extended basis FINALLY, I have started to wonder if they are setting her up for a fall at last. She is finally making in-roads, too. And how Anita seems like she just hasss to include a Barbara mention will only bring SPS there like a moth to the flame. Add the increased presence of Laura...which reminds the audience of the fact of how we were introduced to SPS as THE villain...continues to make me wonder if the show is slowly but surely circling back around to Laura's accident. As for the Sharon cliffhanger at the end...I'm sure Vernon is planning something for Anita with her. It was like puzzle pieces, but not a complete picture today. Not bad. Just off.
