As much as I don't mind Roman telling Johnny the truth, I will always feel like this is Lucas's moment and secret to share. Roman's been mostly okay with EJ for years. It's strange for him to be the one to deliver the news even if Sami is his daughter. I know the show has no use for BD or Lucas. I just always thought he would be the one to spill the beans.

Oh, there is definitely a case to rest many characters including Sonny and Carly, who are both not doing much to advance story these days. Although it will never happen. It would be wise if GH took notes from BTG and took some risks. We've been saying this for years though. GH isn't a bad show day to day and doesn't hit the lows Days does. It just coasts on the same old same old year after year.

I agree about Ava completely. I have always enjoyed her much more when she was a villain. I could still sympathize with her sometimes, but she's lost most of her bite at this point. Ric/Ava is a good idea in theory. Like you said it just really is B or C level. It hasn't progressed much and it has the same pacing problems GH always does. I think it was a huge mistake to cut Nina out of the Willow/Drew pairing. The whole story would be even better if Drew and Nina just couldn't control themselves and were still sleeping together despite trying to stay away from one another. Then Nina shoots or kills Drew after going a bit crazy from jealousy or guilt and Nina can be shipped off to jail for a while. I really don't see the harm in cutting Nina or Ava for a bit. It's not like the show can't bring the characters back. It helps keep the characters fresh instead of aimlessly running around town year after year just because MW and CW are talented and popular.

I thought CW was good as Vicky too! Granted I am not the biggest Jensen or AW fan, but I actually tuned in to watch her and was impressed. I recall it was longer than a week though, maybe that's just how long CW taped for. I feel like the momentum the characters had under PM is lost though. Both actresses are capable of more, but Ava and Nina really don't have that much going on. I truly believe Nina as a character has run its course. I'd probably keep Ava for now and rest Nina at least temporarily. Although I wouldn't be shocked if Nina ends up back with Sonny after this whole Eva La Rue experiment ends.

The aging of the kids is never going to make sense. Belle and Phillip were born years after Stephanie and Alex. Brady was born a few months before Abby. Shawn D is approximately the right age and does not have an adult granddaughter. Just Claire the adult daughter and Belle/Shawn were pretty young when she was born. Phillip was the golden child and should be the heir IMO. He just kept doing stupid things. Both Phillip and Xander have some previous experience running Titan. More Phillip than Xander, but Phillip also was a marine and has a fake leg so that was a career disruption on the business end.

I feel like Nina was pretty vital when she was paired with Sonny too. I disliked the pairing, although I really think it had some fans and it was completely dropped. I know people will come for me, but I do think Ava/Nina tend to cancel one another out and there isn't enough material for the both of them. Fine by me!

Thanks! I assumed it was someone vaguely "famous". I don't watch the Bachelor at all. I wonder if anyone would actually tune in just to see someone that lost a reality show though lol. I have long said Nina was useless, but I did like her during PM's brief tenure and the Drew/Nina affair. I would honestly just have Nina go crazy and leave at this point. Get CW some emmy worthy material and just drop the character.

Exactly. Even if I thought Charlotte was a viable character there is nothing about the actress that is showing me she could sell a teen romance. She's no Kim Mc. GH would probably better served aging Georgie or something rather than trying to make Charlotte happen.

I would prefer Charlotte ending up on the run with Valentin again, we find out she never was Lulu's daughter, and everyone in town forgets both characters exist. I find Charlotte to be the most obnoxious child/teen on the show. Only Violet is worse. The actress isn't particularly strong and I doubt she could handle a believable teen romance even if Danny/Charlotte weren't related and Jake didn't already sort of date her.

I make fun of AS and the bedroom scenes all the time, but count me in as another person who thought she did well with the material yesterday. I have never thought Setton was a bad actress. She is just miscast for this role and this is a story Brook Lynn and Dante should never be playing, so I still stand by that.

J.J. has always been a bland character to me. Interchangeable with Tripp, Nathan, Max, Joey, Johnny and all the other handsome, mostly nice, bland white legacy guys the show casts. Obviously some characters are from different eras, but all the same mold. It's the same way I find Eric/Brady to be way too similar in personality. Mostly the same parents, same love interests, addiction issues, and monumental screw ups while being mostly decent guys. I feel like we have a bit more perspective on Shawn D because he did grow up on the show in real time and drove a lot of story back when Days was still decent. I think BB has taken a lot of bite out of the role, but Shawn/Belle have been sidelined for years. Outside of Casey Moss's first few stories-JJ's always been background to me.

I agree and from my understanding the show does quite well on Peacock. Although Peacock as a platform is another story. I don't know if the wardrobe will ever improve because I think a lot of it is at the actor's discretion. Characters like Stephanie, Jada, Chanel and Gabi often look very put together. And Deidre still has a matching suit set in every color whether we like or not lol. The men all dress very similar (besides Leo) and I am pretty sure JJ and Shawn were wearing the same leather jacket the other day lol. But I digress. My point is that you can very clearly see some actors dress how they like and not for their character on Days, but I suspect they are often wearing their own clothing tbh. The sets feel like a much larger issue, but I think Days needs to tell stories that work around that. Trying to recreate 90's stories and adventures doesn't work. Pretending elaborate weddings are happening with 5 people doesn't work. At this point Days needs to drop a few characters and focus on family and community drama that can be contained in the 5 sets they have.

She might get a few more bucks for 2 characters lol? Now I am imagining Emily just driving through LA going through Cher and the Kardashian's trash cans in hopes one wig will work.

Lol! I am the guilty party. You get all your possessions back post prison when you leave as long as they are not like drugs, weapons, or evidence. They just lock that up when you are in the slammer and put it in a box or something. At least that's what tv and movies (not days) have taught me.
