  1. Honestly, every character... not just the millennials... in this soap.... has been dull for the last 5 years. Even Sheila is like a boring auntie. The Sheila from 1992-1993 would be rolling her eyes at what we have now. And Brooke... I can't even call her a character anymore - she's just a pathetic shadow of herself. She's been stripped of any edge, turned into a low IQ Stepford wife. Her whole existence revolves around Ridge and his testicles. It's just sad... watching KKL survive through these repetitive stupid scenes day in and day out at her age. If Bradley doesn't do something to spice up this IMPORTANT character... who is basically one of the last remnants of the OG Bold DNA... he might as well just write her off. I'd rather see Brooke be killed off than continue to watch her be this lifeless and tedious. An even bigger issue is that this show (BRAD BELL) can't create new characters to save its life. They at least recycle the same old nonsense with the established characters... but the new ones are just thrown into this chaotic, plot-driven mess that makes zero sense. We see virginal characters morph into sociopathic killers out of nowhere, and then we have creepy pervs (who are obsessed with girls) who suddenly go gay just to make a point for the show. The younger characters are unbearable. Will and Electra are like watching paint dry. My remaining brain cells are literally screaming for mercy as I try to sit through their scenes. And yet... we see the ratings are very much OKAY. People are buying garbage and they EAT IT UP.
  2. About Blair and recasting her with a white blond woman... Well did the writers forget that Blair was interpreting Japanese when she and Cord were at Jaba city? Did the new Blair forget she knew Japanese when she suddenly became white?
  3. P.S. I just saw Cassie's wedding... and I'm still a bit sweaty from these 3 episodes. THEY WERE INTENSE. Marty's nervous breakdown... while Cassie was saying "I do" - so dramatic... (even though they did repeat themselves a bit with yet another man who has a near stalker like Bo did with Alex... this time it's better though and more organic) Viki, parallel to that... also having her own personal FALLING APART moment... Clint telling her "You are in love with another man!" and deciding to sit away from her. The SHOW IS BACK. I can't wait to gather my thoughts tomorrow morning before work... for the review.
  4. She does have a little faded period where Malone is not sure what to do with her and she's just a MOTHER and nothing more... the character looks so matronly at one point in early spring. But then as soon as summer 1992 hits and Sloan Carpenter comes into town... it's like Viki is 10 years younger... there is new life breathed into her. And she's been center stage non stop since then. The first half of 1992 is very Dorian heavy while the second part... Viki heavy. I can't wait to read your thoughts on that. So far I'm enjoying your takes very much. You are still not even in the good parts, so if you are enjoying it now... then you will LOVE it in couple of months.
  5. Speaking on that topic... I can't recall exactly whether I shared this fascinating conversation with Mia Korf. I think I did, but I'll post it again for those who may have missed it a few months back. She discusses her experience on the show, the topic of race, and how the role was recast with a blonde white woman.
  6. Who said he was done and finished soon? That statement whoever it was... aged badly. LOL Happy for Jimmy.
  7. George Orwell saw this coming.
  8. In the credits in the end of the episodes. 😂
  9. One thing that modern trying-to-grab-your-attention shows fail to achieve with me... this 1979 clip did so effortlessly. When it ended... I wanted to keep watching.
  10. And a Nitroglycerin pill tucked in Donna's g-string... just in case.
  11. Bring back Carrie Bradshaw!
  12. I agree with @Taoboi and @ranger1rg - very insightful post! Would love to hear more @DeliaIrisFan in the future.
  13. What a fantastic reply! Thank you. Now I realize that I need to return to 1993 GL, where I paused, sooner or later (hopefully in this decade or the next 😄). I want to see the full Marion Crane storyline. Just for the hell of it. Your post has just reinforced this for me. I also feel like I will love Annie.
