  1. Thank yoooou! I'm down for anything early 80s AW.
  2. Happy Thanksgiving and have a wonderful birthday on Sunday!
  3. I just finished the episode that had the iconic dressing room scene. The entire episode was sublime. So far the best of the whole season. Episode 8 - La Mirage. If the show was like that always... it would have been the perfect soap.
  4. Happy Thanksgiving to all! Health and good luck... to everyone. And lots of love. Love. Love! And soaps!
  5. Thank you so much! Now I'll know more or less what to expect. I'm going to welcome changes and the show turning the page in 1993. I can only say that this OLTL adventure wouldn't have been the same if I hadn't shared it with the people in this thread, especially you. To draw from your thoughtful impressions and endless knowledge about the show and soap operas in general is a privilege for me, for which I am eternally grateful.
  6. Are these some of her final moments? I understand Strasser is coming in a month and a half, but do you know if there is a time without Princi/Dorian before that, or does Strasser take over immediately without a break for the character? Oh and I before I forget - Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours @DRW50 ! 🦃
  7. Y’all really triggered me with these talks about the show… and since I’m off work today, I somehow ended up binging season 3 from the very beginning. Totally unplanned... I just wanted to remind myself what the first episode was about. Next thing I know, I’m opening a second box of chocolate biscuits, it's snowing outside, and in the breaks between episodes I'm strutting to the kitchen like a drag queen, turning my head dramatically as if I were Alexis storming into Krystle’s kitchen uninvited! First impression - it’s A LOT better than I remembered. Either I’ve matured with age or completely degraded mentally... probably the latter... 😁 but now I find unintentional comedy in every single scene. One thing that makes it different... back then... I was watching bad TV-VHS rips... Now watching in 4K. WOW. The entire show is Gooooorgeous. Alexis’s apartment after Cecil’s death is pure fantasy. Made me wish I was married to a billionaire for 15 minutes before getting half his fortune. If my husband reads this - I'm just joking! And that scene where she talked to him through the hole while he’s on his deathbed... CHILE... I nearly choked on a biscuit from laughter. The great quality enhances the experience, but it also exposes everything, like Alexis's grey around the mouth - bad makeup. YIKES. This is not a dig. She is flawless 95 percent of the time, but those other 5 percent... High‑definition was not planned in the early 1980s. Storyline-wise, I’m somewhere around episode 6 or 7... and wow, these crazy people and storylines were scandalous for their time. A brother and sister kissing romantically without knowing they are related? Yikes. Adam is still a mess, but I don’t despise him like I used to. Back then I thought he was written in too fast, too harsh. Now it’s hilarious how Alexis instantly accepts him as her son. He waves around a dusty rattle and she’s like, “Yes, my child has returned!” No tears, no doubts. And of course, no DNA tests... turns out those weren’t even around yet. I had forgotten almost everything except the core of it and whether I liked it or not. Krystle’s ex, CHILE... this daddy is stealing every scene with the mustache and... they keep showing him in shirtless flashbacks. The 80s gays were having a lot of fun watching this show! So here I am, shocked at how different season 3 feels compared to when I watched it as a teenager. I used to dislike it after season 2. Now? I kinda VIBE with it. It’s chaotic, manic energy... if you’re not in the mood, it’s unbearable, but if you lean into the camp, it’s fun. Maybe I’ll binge the whole season today. One last note - Krystle. My teenage self adored her, but now? Bland, boring, insufferable. Somewhere in the past 10–15 years, my liking for her has disappeared. LORD.
  8. Love seeing BTG steady. And Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! 🦃
  9. Well... I load it perfectly. My husband is like you - he regularly messes it up and I have to re-arrange it before I start the program, which I HATE doing. My point is... the only way to fix your problem is - GET yourself a husband! If you haven't already. 😁 God... look at the things this show is making us talk about. If this is not successful product placement... I don't know what is.
  10. Thank you for sharing! The Dynasty side reminded me of this...
  11. Maybe Dani can teach him how to do it properly in one of the next product placement segments.
  12. I think we've reached a Waiting for Godot stage at this point. One little update every few months.
  13. Ahahahahhaha, of courseee! And the word POISON written over it, because we don't want ANYONE not GETTING it. LOL.
  14. Thank God you saved them. ❤️
  15. Up to December 17th, 1992 🎅 "Tchaikovsky in Llanview." 🔷 Let the Christmas shopping from hell... begin! Ho! Ho! Ho! 🔷 As I anticipated... Sloan attempted to catch Viki off guard while she was out shopping. He eavesdropped on her plans the previous day and followed her there. A bit stalkerish, won't you say? She loved the attention, even if she pretended not to. Sloan is an incredibly persistent man. He understands that once the Bo situation is settled, the family's bond will eventually weaken... and he'll be waiting around the corner, ready to pounce at the first sign of trouble. He's always ten steps ahead, and it's not like Viki doesn't know it either. She's a smart girl. They're in a game with one another, making the whole affair situation more and more exciting. We are now in the 6th or 7th month since their attraction began... and we have yet to see them sleeping together. The writers are milking this as much as possible and I appreciate that there's no rush. 🔷 And then... like a phantom from a Christmas themed horror movie, Dorian Lord... emerged from the shadows... catching them red-handed at the scene of the crime. Oh my! What are you two lovebirds doing here? Dorian's gloat set Viki off so much... she resorted to her classic - "I'M SO ABOVE YOU" routine, trying to smother her with PITY. She attempted to change the focus from her own inappropriate relationship, a pure gaslight technique.. To me... at that moment, Viki was the villain. Because... Dorian merely observed the truth - she didn't imagine it... that somehow... Viki is still seeing Sloan. It doesn't matter if it's by chance or they are having secret rendezvous... they are still TOGETHER. Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker playing softly in the background was chef's kiss. 🔷 Moving on... we finally had THE showdown between Renee and Blair. This was one of the most catty scenes I've seen so far. Renee absolutely obliterated Blair with words, threatening to expose her lies to Asa. But that was nothing compared to what happened when Blair visited Dorian searching for her mother. The Wicked Witch of Llanview announced that Addie is GONE... off to a place where Blair will never find her! And that's not all - Dorian now allegedly has full custody of Agatha. And Blair has only one person to thank for this - good old Asa Buchanan. Incredible performance by Mia Korf. 🔷 Last, but not least... Bo went home with a tramp he picked up from the bar. But then when the tramp noticed Sarah's creepy picture watching them from the distance, he flipped out and threw the trash out. As the episode was ending, we saw him burning Sarah's things in the fire and saying disturbing things... that I don't even want to mention. Are they going there? Is Bo going to try and take his own life? It's heartbreaking to watch, but I still think if this was about someone else other than Sarah... it would have hit harder. Overall - 10/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clip of the day Dorian clashes with Viki and Blair.
  16. Can't disagree with facts. I still love the show and I've embraced it for what it is... but I also think that the more they trash these characters (mostly the villains) with over the top cartoon stuff, the harder it's going to be to get them back to a survivable place. Meaning - to keep them longer. That's why I said I want Hayley turned into a human being again after the culmination of the poisoning. Tone her down. Give her a new plan and a new agenda. More opportunist than a homicidal Cruella. I would prefer if the "evilness" and cunning could be more subtle... that way it will be way more sinister than the... - in your face... stuff. I mean... the way Hayley is constantly putting that poison in drinks... while talking to herself... as much as I love and adore her... there's just a limit and then it becomes stupid. Nothing to do with Marquita who is a sublime and should be kept in this show for as long as possible. It would have been way scarier if we saw Bill not feeling well... and just one shot of Hayley smiling in the background... and then we see a glimpse of the vial with the poison in her bag. Just the way it's written... matters. I'm choosing to stick to the positives... but I do see the cracks too.
  17. Ah! You are absolutely right... Dixie really grew on me over time. Initially, I saw her as homewrecker, and given my sympathy for Brooke, I couldn't help but dislike her... However, as the story unfolded, she transformed into a true heroine, someone I could root for... I appreciate that you remember my earlier dislike, as it shows how our perspectives can shift with time and new context. In a way, this is what makes soap operas so engaging... characters evolve, and so do our feelings about them. I'm excited to see how our perceptions align or differ in the future. 😊
  18. I knew you would be happy! And your reaction just brings a smile on my face. 🌻 And yes... I have a feeling our handsome Tad is not going to let Dixie drown in the fictional delusion Adam is spinning around her. And I can't wait to see this beast's comeuppance. So far he's been immune to any real consequences. P.S. I saw some of my older comments from the beginning of the year and God I was referring to Dixie as Miss Trash. LOL. How things change with time. Now I like her immensely.
  19. The villains in this soap are very caricaturish and unrealistic. At this point I've embraced it... But I wish they tone it down and make them more layered and subtle. It's very in your face Cruella Devil type of stuff on daily basis.
  20. Annika on Bold as Hope went in very nice. Her first year was some of her most exciting material. (by Bradley standards) Don't remember people disliking her at all.
  21. @Taoboi "I'm the one warning you biiiiiitch" 😂😂😂
