  1. Trump has lost so many down-ballot elections for his party, it's breathtaking.
  2. I admit, I haven't had the time to follow up on this and I'm not sure if I would be able to decipher it all even if I had the time. Too much lunacy. And you're right, it's hard to know what's performance and what's genuine.
  3. Every day in the U.S.A. is a step further into bizarro land.
  4. Nia Long (Kat Speakes, GL) is one of the principal cast of a movie starring Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson called The Banker.
  5. Speaking of Harris, she did is the first person to be invited to hold a town hall by this influential union.
  6. Whew, this TEA!
  7. President Addled-Brain may be preoccupied with this. This morning, I saw a headline that said that the GOP was concerned that the impeachment investigation is occupying too much of Trump's agenda. You think? Like I said before, through all that mess, Bill Clinton was still able to focus on the day to day of putting out legislation and making executive decisions, which is the reason why he was never forced to step down.
  8. On the news last night, I saw a clip of people outside MSG who were chanting and holding up signs that said "Headlock Him Up" and I knew I had to go on twitter to see if there were any images. I did a quick search and it didn't take me long to find one. I also love the bright orange (like Trump's complexion) placards basically telling Trump to 'get lost' in Spanish. It's more like 'Go Away' but 'Get Lost' has a certain colloquial ring to it. And the placard in Spanish was thoughtful enough to include Pence, because he shouldn't be forgotten for the menace he is, as well.
  9. I love this song.
  10. America can be such a disheartening place to live.
  11. From an observation POV, it seems to be a confluence of factors, one of the less talked about factors is that his children have basically taken over the business, so there is not much for Trump the dotard to do. Besides the tax evasion and the deluded belief that he can somehow derail an already ongoing investigation by the SDNY, NYC residents have been removing the Trump name from just about everything, with the exception of Trump tower. Trump Inc. tried to get around the obvious aversion to all things Trump in NYC by rebranding prospective hotels with names like Scion, etc. but the public caught wind of these tactics registered their disgust and the deals fell through. It's undeniable that Trump Inc. has lost business. Trump campaign manager is trying to spin his retreat to Florida as a natural strategy that is supposed to encompass trying to hold onto Florida in the next election (and let's face it, Florida is a loose canon when it comes to elections) but the truth (which Trump has always been bad at) is much more varied.
  12. Paris used to be such a big exciting event, now it is something of joke. Where are even the last two winners of the event? Jack Sock is at 0 ranking and Karen Khachanov seems to have lost early. At this point, I'm ready to put a wrap on this season as I don't really care about the Year End Championships for either the ATP or the WTA. Shenzhen has been an entire dull, lackluster clusterf*ck of injuries, illness and withdrawal (and a quicksand court) and the ATP needs to change the venue from that same old tired London O2 arena location. Perhaps the NextGen Finals might have something in store but I'm prepared to be disappointed in that too. The ITF/ATP/WTA money chasing is really deadening this sport.
  13. The downside of that is that those choices leave little footprint on the show's (fading) legacy because it's unlikely that P&G would ever get the rights to the music for any future sales of these videos. So, as a result, we get a bootleg version of "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" rather than a 🔥 Whitney & Jermaine duet. I'm not sure what the story would be though, if ATWT didn't get any monetary gain out of it (i.e. stream for free on YT) then again, P&G would probably never allow this to happen, they'd want to make money whether from direct sales or from $$ made from ads on streaming sites.
  14. Not that one shouldn't compete in NH but if a campaign is not flush with cash, how much time and money should be spent on a state that practically borders Vermont and Massachusetts? Try to compete but don't drain resources there. The punditry of this primary alone is enough to make anyone want to holler. Let's no forget that none of these pollsters and pundits saw Trump coming (as much I detest making reference to this aspect).
  15. You're not wrong. Unfortunately the SoapClassics DVDs couldn't secure music rights (if they tried, I don't know) and opted for this generic plucky music instead. It's really a shame because that outro was distinctive and iconic. Who wouldn't want Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson singing during the closing credits preserved for all posterity?!
  16. I can't keep up with all those shootings anymore. Can barely read the news sometimes. Tragedy before breakfast.
  17. I don't know about Jersey but the majority of New Yorkers sure hate Trump's guts. This is a pinned tweet, lol.
  18. Is he from the district where Trump's golf club is located? That's the first question that sprung to mind. In any case, NJ did not vote for Trump overall and Trump's golf clubs are still at risk of losing their liquor licenses at this point.
  19. Australia is the country that produced Paradise Beach and inflicted Ingo Rademacher on us all, so I find their taste to be somewhat dubious. I'd love it if there was a playlist of Halloween and costume themed episodes up on YouTube. I'd mention Dailymotion, except I tend to forget that it exists these days.
  20. Speed up the damn courts, WTA, you're breaking your players, some of whom won't even have long careers as it is! Serena must feel justified in skipping this clusterf&ck! When are those players going to learn? A bounced or deliberately dropped racquet is one thing, but hurling it where it can injure someone is so stupid, especially when the consequences by now are well documented.
  21. I'm not sure whether he actually cared about the ATP Cup, I think it had more to do with less conflict with the Laver Cup. From what he said, he's skipping to spend more time with his kids before the season starts. Stan wasn't playing, so Switzerland really had little chance anyway.
  22. Twitter has announced that it will ban political ads. I wonder what platform Maggie Haberman will use now to shill Trumpism?
