  1. @Gray BunnyNo offense, but you should really be asking a Black woman that question of whether Black woman are responding to Harris. I don't expect most people to know the answer to that question because frankly, the media seems indifferent to reporting on this, though black women have been proven to be the most consistently reliable voter among the Democratic base. Like Obama, a lot of black women are wary of whether the overall Democratic party would vote for her but this may give some indication of how Harris is being received.
  2. Thanks for the reminder. I had forgotten about this. The majority of the players in the Top 10 are European, which is likely why the event will remain in Europe for the foreseeable future. The only way the event moves to Latin America is if there are more Latin American players in the Top 10. Monfils is the only black player in the Top 10 so unless, there is a surge of African/African descended players in the Top 15 (diversity matters), South Africa is a long shot.
  3. Time for the ATP to find a new destination for these Finals, London is not even trying anymore. Stale.
  4. I kind of like the look of these ATWT promos that used to run during GL in 1993. I'm not sure how many people have seen this one with a pre-Y&R Sharon Case as Debbie Simon. I'm not even sure I remember seeing this one. Seems pretty rare.
  5. Elizabeth Warren has these billionaires coming out of the woodwork to try to fight her on Medicare 4 All. I may have to tune out this campaign until the primaries begin in earnest in the wintertime, some of these discussions feel like they are wasting my time and energy. A possible Bloomberg candidacy feels like a vanity run.
  6. Geez, this dude is dirty!
  7. This has been an ongoing case. It seems like I've been reading about this, on and off, for about a year now.
  8. Oh. my.
  9. Oops, was in such a rush today that I didn't even click on that link. My bad @DRW50! Perhaps this may only come as a surprise to the Bernie Bros but this will hardly surprise anyone else that Pressley is endorsing fellow Massachusetts politician, Elizabeth Warren.
  10. Anybody remember this woman? I do, lol.
  11. Trump has lost so many down-ballot elections for his party, it's breathtaking.
  12. I admit, I haven't had the time to follow up on this and I'm not sure if I would be able to decipher it all even if I had the time. Too much lunacy. And you're right, it's hard to know what's performance and what's genuine.
  13. Every day in the U.S.A. is a step further into bizarro land.
  14. Nia Long (Kat Speakes, GL) is one of the principal cast of a movie starring Anthony Mackie and Samuel L. Jackson called The Banker.
  15. Speaking of Harris, she did is the first person to be invited to hold a town hall by this influential union.
  16. Whew, this TEA!
  17. President Addled-Brain may be preoccupied with this. This morning, I saw a headline that said that the GOP was concerned that the impeachment investigation is occupying too much of Trump's agenda. You think? Like I said before, through all that mess, Bill Clinton was still able to focus on the day to day of putting out legislation and making executive decisions, which is the reason why he was never forced to step down.
  18. On the news last night, I saw a clip of people outside MSG who were chanting and holding up signs that said "Headlock Him Up" and I knew I had to go on twitter to see if there were any images. I did a quick search and it didn't take me long to find one. I also love the bright orange (like Trump's complexion) placards basically telling Trump to 'get lost' in Spanish. It's more like 'Go Away' but 'Get Lost' has a certain colloquial ring to it. And the placard in Spanish was thoughtful enough to include Pence, because he shouldn't be forgotten for the menace he is, as well.
  19. I love this song.
  20. America can be such a disheartening place to live.
  21. From an observation POV, it seems to be a confluence of factors, one of the less talked about factors is that his children have basically taken over the business, so there is not much for Trump the dotard to do. Besides the tax evasion and the deluded belief that he can somehow derail an already ongoing investigation by the SDNY, NYC residents have been removing the Trump name from just about everything, with the exception of Trump tower. Trump Inc. tried to get around the obvious aversion to all things Trump in NYC by rebranding prospective hotels with names like Scion, etc. but the public caught wind of these tactics registered their disgust and the deals fell through. It's undeniable that Trump Inc. has lost business. Trump campaign manager is trying to spin his retreat to Florida as a natural strategy that is supposed to encompass trying to hold onto Florida in the next election (and let's face it, Florida is a loose canon when it comes to elections) but the truth (which Trump has always been bad at) is much more varied.
