  1. Is that Madonna's mom in the B&W photo near the beginning of the video? The one she kisses?
  2. Taylor's mom was diagnosed with cancer : http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6531049/taylor-swift-mom-cancer-tumblr
  3. This song has grown on me SO much. I LOVE It now. Devil Pray, too, although I'm less crazy about some of the more robotic sounding vocals in that song.
  4. I love Jodie. She's already been divorced three times, though, and she's only 33.
  5. I knew you probably weren't, but when I see others who criticize them for being ungrateful, I just think, "They gave up their childhoods for a sitcom, and then for 18 billion direct-to-video movies afterwards. The least you can give them in return is their privacy as adults." Jodie Sweetin had her own issues, but I don't think, even with her drug/alcohol usage (which, according to her autobiography, was a genetic pre-disposition by her biological parents--she's adopted), that that would stop her from coming back for a reunion. She's always embraced it. Honestly, in the case of the Full House child stars, they seemed blessed with a cast and crew who actually cared about their well-being. I think most of their issues afterwards were in spite of Full House, not because of it (the Olsens might be a partial exception, but even then). Hell, even Candace Cameron Bure, after losing weight in a healthy way between seasons 7 and 8, briefly struggled with bulimia after she married her husband and moved away from her family for the first time (he was playing hockey in Canada at the time, so she had to move from LA, where she'd been her whole life). Compared to other child stars, I think they turned out fine. But given how unique their careers/lives were, even for child stars (and especially because they were twins who were turned into a brand), it could have easily gone the other way.
  6. I've said it before and I'll say it again: If Mary-Kate and Ashley are not willing to do the show, I say good for them. It's not a matter of being ungrateful, it's a matter of fact that they have been in the public eye since they were nine months old; Full House was their first audition. Yes, they're financially set for life, which is great, but they literally have no memories of not being famous. Their publicity has died down in the last few years, and they're probably living as private a life (well, lives) as they can given the circumstances (they're not on social media, for example), but they'll still be famous forever. They've MORE than earned their privacy. That's not a criticism of you, Carl, that's just something that might go over the heads of some who think they would be ungrateful if they turn it down. I would love it if they made a guest appearance or something like that, but I understand if they sit this out.
  7. I wouldn't mind if she were married to Nelson TBH. At least she'd be super rich. But of course, Steve is the more popular option.
  8. So, has Taylor dropped the single life for the time being to date Calvin Harris? Looks like it: http://www.people.com/article/taylor-swift-calvin-harris-kiss
  9. Carly Schroeder (Serena, GH/PC) with her onetime onscreen dad, Kin Shriner: https://instagram.com/p/0qpUG0Af07/
  10. Listening to "This Love" again. I can't believe I haven't listened to this song as often since I got the album now. It's better than I remember and sounds a little like "Clean" melody wise. Also, did anyone else notice we're up to page 13, Taylor's lucky number?
  11. The first four songs, as far as I'm concerned, are just back-to-back awesome. I know there are people out there who don't like "Welcome to New York", and I understand why, but I am not one of them. And "Style" is absolutely the best of her singles so far. I'm not as crazy about "All You Had To Do Was Stay", but I don't mind it too much. I think I've already made my opinion on "Shake It Off" pretty clear at this point. Spoiler: It's the minority opinion. For that reason, I probably haven't been willing to listen to "I Wish You Would" all that much, because it and "Stay" are right next to "SIO" . That said, "IWYW" is fine to me. "Bad Blood" reminds a little bit of "Hollaback Girl", minus the rap spelling of bananas. Like you, I feel like it will probably be the next single. It's not the one I'd listen to over and over, but every once in awhile I will, and I see why it would work as a single. "Wildest Dreams" and "How You Get the Girl" are two of my favorites on the album, easy. "This Love" and "I Know Places" are two I need to listen to more often, to be honest. I haven't listened to them too much. Which brings me to "Clean". I have listened to this song so much it's insane. Taylor should really consider releasing this as a single after Bad Blood, because it is just breathtaking. I can't stop listening to it. And now the bonus tracks: I like all three, but "Wonderland" is my least favorite (not in a bad way, though--my biggest problem with that song is the constant "eh, eh" part. It works for Rihanna. Not so much for Taylor Swift.). "You Are In Love" is beautiful, and really does sound like Springsteen's "Secret Garden" (as others have said before). "New Romantics" is my favorite, along with "Clean". I really wish it had a shot at being a single, because it deserves it. I also liked listening to all three of the voice memos (which I only did the first time I listened to it). It was especially interesting to see how "Blank Space" changed from then to now. All in all, it made for a very nice present for my birthday this year. I also loved the photos she included--I got the last 13 out of 65 with my CD. Overall, a thumbs up for my fellow 1989 born girl Taylor. The next album of hers I would like to get is Speak Now--I like the majority of songs on that album, so that would be easy for me to get.
  12. That's from a channel dedicated to clips of interviews of young child actresses. They always edit out the clips; not sure why.
  13. Back before he became the king of paternity tests, Maury had on a few child actors, including 6 year old Hayden Panettiere, while she was still on OLTL (her clips on the show were edited out here, though). He is completely enthralled with her here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-gnhdSIVIk
  14. Here's the interview with Howard Stern. Awesome:
  15. Rebel Heart will be battling the Empire soundtrack for the top-charting album on Billboard next week: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6495224/madonna-vs-empire-billboard-200-number-one
  16. What the hell did I just read/watch?
  17. She did. It was only the next morning that she found out the truth. But yes, they did start seeing each other in secret afterwards, and there's a funny scene where Kevin overhears David proposing to Tina while thinking they're still related .
  18. I can't remember if this was posted here already or not, but here's the rarely heard FULL version of the OLTL theme song from 1995-2004. Other than the 1984-1991 theme, this is absolutely my favorite OLTL theme song ever. I began watching when this theme was still in use, so the nostalgia I feel when I hear it is pretty damn strong.
  19. There were rumors around the time Fiona returned in 2001, yes. Sarah Buxton was the name that came up for Tina, but whether or not Gary Tomlin actually was thinking of casting her, I have no idea.
  20. Blair did have a great insult towards Krista's Tina: Tina: I'm trying to give you a piece of my mind! Blair: Think you can spare any? I've said before in the past that Gabrielle and Blair had great potential to eventually become friends, and their differing opinions on Tina--Gabby loved her like a sister, Blair dismissed her as a clueless bubblehead--would have been a fun thing to come up.
  21. I haven't watched that scene yet, but in the scene where everyone realizes that Luna's dead (because of course her mystical spirit was powerful enough that the sky changing color through the hospital waiting room window was enough for them to learn it without Max telling them--sorry, my Luna hate is slipping through again, I need to work on that), and she just says "She's leaving us," I like that. Granted, it was only one line, but still. But when Alex was running for mayor she and ranting to Susannah Hanen (Nora's therapist sister) about Todd & Blair getting married? Yeah, that was a little much. Speaking of Krista's Tina, I always thought the last time they had sex until 2011 was before Cord was presumed dead in 1991, or when he came back in 1993 and she was trying to keep him from finding out about Cain. Apparently not!
  22. To be fair to her, though, the storylines she was given (Tina willingly sleeping with a man she thought was her brother?) did her no favors. I loved her as Mindy on GL. Actually, Tina and Mindy, and the actresses that played them, have some weird parallels between them: Andrea is considered to be the "real" Tina, and Krista the "real" Mindy. Karen is considered the other, "acceptable" alternate as Tina, whereas Kimberley Simms was considered that for Mindy (and in both cases, some actually like them best). Krista's Tina could actually be compared to both Ann Hamilton and Barbara Crampton was Mindy, in that most people just didn't accept them in the role. And in some of the serious scenes I've seen of Krista as Tina--mainly, Luna's death--she did perfectly fine.
  23. Well, guys, I finally got 1989 for my birthday today, and yes, it's the deluxe version. About to start listening to it now.
  24. A Max Holden promo on my birthday. Awesome.
  25. In my defense, I was 12-13 years old. Jake & Megan got married very shortly after Gabrielle was sent to prison for refusing to name Carlo in court as the one who had set up a plan to kill Megan, leaving her to take the fall. It was just my teenage self upset that Gabrielle's life was so tragic, while Megan, even though she died young too, got this storybook wedding while no one had any idea that Gabrielle, for everything she had done in the past, was innocent in this particular case (or at least, more innocent than she was otherwise seen as being by the court), and had to give up so much for absolutely nothing (she was sent to prison in March of 1991, Megan got married in May). I didn't SAY it necessarily made sense, I just said my teenage way of thinking* sometimes clouds my rational adult brain when it comes to Megan. SOMEONE has to stand up for Gabrielle, and it might as well be me! . *Okay, I originally didn't say that. But it's still true of me.
