  1. When the clip ended, she hadn't, so I have no idea. I'm so confused. I have a somewhat irrational feeling toward Megan. Logically, I do like a lot about her, but a part of me hates her for getting her wedding with Jake while poor Gabrielle had just started her prison sentence for a crime she didn't commit. It's SO irrational, I know. I like Megan's green outfit, but I see it and then I think she escaped from a Doublemint Gum commercial. Oh well. I will say that Jessica Tuck's hair not being too long/big on the show keeps her looking less dated than a lot of soap stars from the 80's can otherwise claim.
  2. She SHOT Megan? What for? I had no idea this ever happened. Oh Gabby...you're better than this.
  3. The thing is, I'm not sure if she wants or cares about being the biggest pop star in the world anymore. She had it, she's done it, and now she focusing on doing music that shows off her voice more than the pop stuff, which (and I'll admit I haven't heard anywhere near all of her stuff so I'm probably not the best person to comment here) does include songs which show off her singing talent ("The Edge of Glory" being the best example I can think of here), but because of her image, frequently took a back seat in most people's eyes. I'm thrilled that her Oscar performance allowed people get the chance to see how great a singer she actually is (because while some people who weren't fans of her acknowledged her singing talent, many others, unfortunately didn't or didn't even know she had it), and that it appears to have given her a second wind of publicity when her career wasn't at a place that it was five years ago, but at the end of the day, does it need to be? And if it is, does it need to be in pop music? Clearly, the answer is no. After the Oscars, I can't wait to see what else she does, and that includes her next pop album. I like that she's finally doing both everything she's capable of doing, and everything she wants to do, and getting recognized for it, too. I love the song "Lush Life" from her album with Tony Bennett (I first heard her live version on Howard Stern), and I loved her performance with Tony of "Cheek to Cheek" at the Grammys. (And now she has 6 Grammys! YAY!) Also, new Madonna interview where she talks about Gaga. Frankly, I love them both, so I find the fan wars over them to be ridiculous more than anything else: http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6480550/madonna-lady-gaga-feud-pit-women-against-each-other
  4. As of Sunday night, and given all the talk about her in the days since, after all the talk about her career being over before then, I think it is finally safe to say this: Moving on... ETA: Changed from Monday to Sunday. Duh.
  5. Not sure if this belongs here, but I just found Ellen Wheeler's Archive of American Television interview from 2006: http://www.emmytvlegends.org/interviews/people/ellen-wheeler
  6. I know Erin was definitely there by 1991, she's in pictures as one of the bridesmaids for Jake & Megan's wedding.
  7. So I guess she started in 1989? Because there was a girl named Eliza Clark credited as playing Jessica in 1990 (ETA: Just got to that part of the interview. So I guess she was there in 1989. Make up your mind, OLTL historians! ). I've heard both 1989 and 1990 as starting dates for Erin. *confused* And it's funny to see her say she'd never go across the country, because she did just that once she left OLTL (albeit not for college). And it's nice to see KMc mentioned with her for once, and not KA (granted KA had only been on for a year at that point, but still). And she DID wind up getting an Emmy nod that spring, so seeing her all but mention OLTL's status as the red headed stepchild of ABC when that came up was very interesting to me. Yeah, I love Erin. And like me, she also became a diehard Sheryl Crow/Sarah McLachlan fan at a young age (and performed SC's "I Shall Believe" on the show once), which earns her even more points with me. That DID question, though...I wonder if Erin would've been better at that than Bree? And I love that they were trying to get her to admit she was with David Fumero at the time. That said, I'm not necessarily crazy about the idea that she objected to the abortion idea, although given that she admitted to being a Republican in an SOD interview a year later (not that those two things always go together, of course), I guess I shouldn't be so surprised.
  8. Okay. It's just that we M&G fans got pretty screwed over, and I was a young teenager back then. It left an indelible impression on me, since they're my favorite soap couple. Those scars don't just go away.
  9. Taylor was a part of the "The Californians" sketch on tonight's SNL 40th Anniversary special. I actually really want her hippie outfit from that sketch. And she'll be on Jimmy Fallon's show this week, too.
  10. ...Bye. See, for years I was sure that I was one of the few people who HATED Max & Luna (especially the mystical cornpone bitch on her own) and LOVED Max & Gabrielle more. That said, with AE gone, I wouldn't have minded seeing Luna with Cord. ETA: At the same time, however, I can see how a Max & Gabrielle reunion would have been very complicated. The ghost of Luna would have been hovering over Gabrielle from the very beginning (hopefully not literally). The fact of the matter is, a lot happened between the time Gabrielle was sent to prison (for a crime she didn't even commit, all to save the life of her then-four year old son), released from prison early, and then returned with Al a few years later. Max had moved on--more than once. And that moving on included marrying a woman who gave him two more children, and then was tragically killed mere months later. Whether I like it or not (spoiler: I don't), Luna being dead probably cements her place as Max's true love for many people, and Gabrielle--especially given her at times very low self-esteem and conflicts with God--would probably wonder if the only reason Max ever went back to her is because Luna's dead and he can't be with her, even though she (Gabrielle) and Max loved and married each other first, and have just as much of a history and a connection as he and Luna did. It would've been a very interesting dynamic to explore had a full-blown reunion ever taken place, and I'm sure Jim, and especially Fifi, would have played the hell out of it. ...And that's not even bringing up what might have happened if Gabby had returned when Luna was still alive. Talk about a triangle that could have gone absolutely ANYWHERE.
  11. I saw the "Karlie loves Taylor" heart they made on the beach on Instagram, and the alleged kiss at the concert. Come on ladies, come on out! Nothing to be ashamed of!
  12. You never know. Karlie has a room at Taylor's apartment in New York; they could still be in love. I kind of hope they are, tbh.
  13. "Style" is up on VEVO now: I agree, Toups the video is...interesting, to say the least (but I think some of it looks really cool and ethereal), but as someone who hasn't heard the whole album yet, I can honestly say this is my favorite song on 1989 so far (I also seem to like "Welcome to New York" more than many, the instrumental is GREAT). The Rolling Stone article she did in September called the song "Miami Vice inspired" (paraphrasing). I can totally see that. I'm hoping I'll be getting the deluxe album on my birthday (February 28th), so I'll keep you guys posted.
  14. Imagine Dragons cover "Blank Space!"
  15. The video for "Style" will be out on Friday! http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6465815/taylor-swift-style-music-video-friday-13th
  16. So...this happened. And I love it. It's not really a song I like, but reworked as a Joan Jett-like punk rocker? I can dig it.
  17. His most recent album was 2013's Paradise Valley, which actually includes a duet with Katy called "Who You Love" (and a song called "Paper Doll", which may very well be about Taylor). I'll be honest--I actually think he and Katy are cute together. I loved when he interviewed the Super Bowl Sharks on the Late Late Show. That could get me kicked out of this thread! LOL .
  18. At least Lorde got that dig in about his tiny penis on Taylor's behalf.
  19. Was I the only one wondering if she took a bathroom break when Katy sang? Speaking of which, seeing John Mayer and Ed Sheeran perform together: Ed: Taylor's best guy friend John: Taylor's ex boyfriend (and Ed was on the Late Late Show with him last week) Katy: John's girlfriend (who it seems pretty obvious he just reunited with), and Taylor's rival. The six degrees of separation here makes my head spin.
  20. He hates Hollywood Life, so I took the link away for him.
  21. Taylor is taking her longtime best friend Abigail Anderson as her date to the Grammys tonight.
  22. Gotcha. Thanks.
  23. I'll admit that I actually DID know who Gary Glitter was, and that it does sometimes taint my enjoyment of "Rock n Roll Part 2" (the official title of the "hey" song), and knowing about Pete Townshend's child porn charges from the late 90's bothers me too (and the Who is one of my favorite bands of all time), but keeping it just at the Gary Glitter stuff, Bill Cosby is an icon. Of course he's going to have a bigger impact here. My family is from the Ozarks area of Arkansas. I don't know...I'm sensitive when it comes to making fun of Southerners, there are some perfectly wonderful, intelligent people from there, including my parents. Not to harsh the vibe here, of course.
  24. Taylor's not performing at the Grammys this year: http://www.billboard.com/articles/events/grammys-2015/6458252/taylor-swift-grammy-plans
