ALL: Short lived Headwriter stints
Speaking of Brash and Cwikly, I would include Darrell Ray Thomas and Marlene McPherson as writers who had short stints on DAYS.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
It's probably the way the writers had her character acting, at least for me, under Bryan Kirkwood they did everything for the sake of keeping Masood and Zainab apart. Still had immense love for the character though, and to this very day I believe it was a huge mistake to write out the entire family unit.

Coronation Street: Discussion Thread
So Carla is going to enter into a relationship with DS Swain. Wow. At this point it's giving the same vibes of GL's Otalia (Olivia and Natalia), forced and done simply to garner headlines.

The baby reveal could’ve have been set up so much better, it seems like something thrown together to make a regular episode interesting instead of being the main reason to tune in. I think the writing team is saving their big reveal for Jude’s paternity but c’mon you can make this reveal equally or just a tad bit more of a big deal. It’s so obvious why they’re doing this (downplaying this for Jude’s paternity reveal) and it’s the wrong decision in my opinion.

GH: Johnny Wactor Shot & Killed During Robbery Attempt
So sad and tragic. Followed him on IG and he was so full of life and energy. Very sweet guy from what I could see from social media.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
It was bound to happen, but Eastenders finally managed to beat Emmerdale in the ratings the week of the April 29th. I wonder if it will soon become a regular thing for the show. I hope this wakes up ITV, their soaps seem to be in trouble IMO. EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Watching the Patrick and Yolande two hander and it was so very well written, it felt like I was a stranger intruding, watching them have a personal and eye opening discussion. It ranged from tears, to anger, to laughter, to demonstrating the love these two have for each other. Kudos to the actors involved.

Holly should've come up with a greater scheme to keep Johnny and Chanel apart, and when that blew up in her face in spectacular fashion (not exactly like the Sami/Austin nonwedding with Carrie years back, but something similar that forces Nicole and the entire town to see what a schemer she is), we'd see Tate pick up the pieces and the two grow closer.

I can't wait to watch. I'm so glad that the family unit of Fox/Truman continue to get focus.

I swear Ravi killing his father and it coming out, was supposed to lead up to Kherat's return somehow (around Christmas). But like the Freddie paternity story(with Little Mo), it seemed to be written around wishful thinking that certain actors would commit for at least a brief visit. It's crazy how little Ravi has been shown, or any follow up to his stories.

This. The above characters listed have been background characters long enough. Poor Bobby has been a background player for such a long time I don't blame his portrayer for leaving the show.

I hope this means George’s estranged son is coming tot he Square! Colin Salmon and the Knight's have been a good addition to the show. 🤗

I can possibly see Dean running into Keanu's yet to be seen father in prison, and Keanu's dad coming to the square to enact a secret revenge plot. There's so many little hanging threads on the Taylor side of things regarding Keanu's death and impact.

EastEnders: Discussion Thread
Finally got around to watching the episode featuring Yolande's sexual assault, and I have to say I loved the show's approach and handling of it. Angela Wynter was phenomenal from start to end. FINALLY they give Harriet Thorpe some good character driven scenes with Yolande. This is the kind of Elaine we should've been subject to at the beginning, sure she's bigger than life, but she can also be a shoulder to lean or cry on when the moment calls for it (her relationship with Linda needs a lot of work, maybe this story will lead up to Linda and Elaine reconciling their differences). Disappointed in the dwindling focus on the Beales, Ian and Peter notably. I think we should've got more out of those scenes involving the anniversary of Lucy's death. However I may be the minority, but I am happy that we are finally getting some movement on the Elaine/George/Cindy/Ian quad though. Shades of old Cindy are definitely are going to come out as the story progresses and I'm here for it. I will say that the current regime has done WONDERS for Phil Mitchell's character, and his friendship with George is refreshing. The show uses him as a confidant for George, as Phil is often forced to admit his many regrets in life, and in other scenes the show uses Phil for comedy relief when it comes to Billy working up the urge to propose marriage to Honey. This is the Phil Mitchell we should've seen years ago.

Bridge collapses after being hit by a container ship in Baltimore
Remind me to never log onto social media during a national event such as this. Smh. Prayers to those who were on the bridge at the time of the incident.
