  1. This story seems similar to Cricket/Nina/Philip on Y&R which was happening at or around this time. Nina giving up a child, and later setting her eyes on the wealthy Philip Chancellor, and Cricket trying to help Nina. I wonder which story came first, I'm assuming Bell was first. I agree! I could at least tolerate Harley up until 2003/2004 (in1997 she seemed like almost every blonde on the show we supposed to root for until B&E left). I don't think Conboy gave Harley much to do, other than react to Gus's drama. The Harley Hour didn't amp up until Wheeler and Co. and it was downhill from there.
  2. Of course GH would end up here. It was bound to happen by reinstating that failed writer.
  3. Cooper Koch....yesssss. Where has this guy been all my life??? 😩 Nicholas Chavez .
  4. I wish the episode of Daisy being born on screen was available online somewhere, I've always heard about it in recaps and wonder how it would've been executed on screen with AM and Dinah crashing into a pregnant Harley. Were Dinah and Harley close friends? Interesting how AM was with Dinah, and then ended up with Harley....I wonder if there was any drama from that.
  5. Love your recaps, and thanks for the heads up!
  6. Margaret DePriest was a better writer at DOCTORS than AW. TD coming off the Pollocks (which was plot driven most of the time), she made a great successor to them. However when DePriest is coming onto a show where her predecessors were uninspired just like the AW writers before her, she's not going to make much of an difference. You can see she's trying to structure the show like DAYS with DiMera's = Love family, with a Stefano clone in Reginald, but it's just all so horribly executed with even lesser nuance than her DAYS plots. And I guess she saw the McKinnons as the Bradys on DAYS?
  7. Exactly. I was hoping the blowback that Body & Soul is getting which fans are very vocal about on social media when the show shares their weekly promo, that maybe it'll force Corday to do something about whats already been taped, but who knows.
  8. 😍 If there's one thing I'm thankful for, it's Ryan Murphy's taste in male actors LOL
  9. Yeah definitely think there was more at play other than the moral panic. Didn't GL see a bump slightly in the ratings with him (I know, undeserved)?
  10. This Connie storyline had potential, just a smidge of potential, about how folks go unnoticed and slowly become unhinged, but it's spun into some nonsensical serial killer plot that doesn't make sense.
  11. Paul Rauch did make the show look good before he left, and that period before Conboy took over will always be the last point GL could've been pulled back from the edge and saved.
  12. Seeing that promo on social media and a plethora of folks in the comments saying how they can't stand Body & Soul mess, gives me hope that DAYS might do something about this mess.
  13. This happens alot with Ron's storytelling. He covers emotional aftermath in an episode or two, and then it's onto the next plot. Just look at the Alex/Xander Kiriakis story. I like the idea of Chanel or Johnny having conflict with one of them not wanting to have a child, while the other does. You could tell a story there where Chanel gets pregnant with Alex's child, but Alex is willing to let Johnny and Chanel raise his child as their own while he continues to live out his life as a manwhore.
  14. It's too bad a team like Curlee, Demorest, Broderick, and Wisner Washam didn't last very long. I think all four of these writers would've done wonders for GL from 93 to the mid 90s. Brodericks AMC in the mid 90s reminds me so much of Curlee's GL.
  15. Nancy Curlee's Guiding Light is what drew me in as a viewer. Hamp, Gilly, David, Alan Michael, Bridget, Roger, etc, such a awesome array of characters portrayed by such fantastic actors. Springfield was a town with close knit families and larger than life characters, and some I could relate to.
  16. I think Nicky Jam deleted his post involving Trump and may have deactivated their Instagram lol
  17. 🤣😂 This is so funny, but so true lmao
  18. Ron keeps trying to make Clyde happen, but no matter what stories or plots he throws at him, I'll never see him in the same league as Stefano or Victor. Clyde's motivation for his scheme and how he's going about it, seems like a copy/paste of Konstantin.
  19. Of course it'd be fewer, she wasn't the presumptive nominee until a few months ago. Smh. The media expects her and Walz to play catch up with the interviews tally compared to Trump/Biden who have been running for president for well over a year. Thankfully Harris/Walz aren't taking the bait.
  20. Definitely thinking he might play Anita's (Tamara Tunie) husband.
  21. I'm loving the thought of Tamara Tunie being the "Stephanie Forrester" of this show. She deserves this and so much more. The casting so far, is great. And I knew the character names would change as soon as we got more information about casting and etc. Here's to getting to know the Dupree family!
  22. I was watching episodes of early 90s ATWT which had a scene with Tom Wiggin as Kirk. I suddenly remembered the brief character he played on GL, named Sam. Anyone remember that bizarre storyline/near romance he had with Holly before quickly leaving town? It was odd, the story seemed to start, and then was just dropped.
  23. LOL This is what they're doing in preparation of a new soap premiering?
  24. This is random. But then again look at who's running the show....
