  1. Noooo, don't worry about making me uninterested. I've always wanted to watch the whole series of DJH and DH. I only saw a few odd episodes on The N, so I've been looking for ways to see it all, and now I can, so I'm in it for the long haul. And with only 70 episodes, you can't beat that. Yeah, I'm aware of "Kids..." I know the whole franchise, really. I've seen clips from School's Out ("...you were [!@#$%^&*] Tessa Campinelli!?"), but not the whole thing. Oh, and Joey running through the halls naked Raditch looks so different back then without all the facial hair.
  2. Nooo, I was talking about Degrassi Junior High. I don't think we'll ever see Joey again, unfortunately
  3. So MTV is encoring the episodes on a day-behind basis! They just aired "What a Girl Wants, Pt. 1" this morning. I was a little bored with Declan and Fiona. I never really cared about them before, and now that they're going to a different school, I don't understand why they're even spending time on them there. The abuse story with Fiona's new guy is terribly predictable and pretty stale. Sav and Holly J both annoyed me. I hate those girls/guys who just automatically assume that they'll be voted president simply because that's what they do. But I also hate those people who come in out of nowhere to take office just because, with no real goals or plans, etc. Eh. I'd vote for Sav because I'd hit, but other than that, I wouldn't care. They still haven't put the movie up on the On Demand channel yet, and I don't want to watch it online. SFK!! I've watched the first three episodes so far. Joey! He was such an adorable little runt! Too cute, with that big ass hat. I can't stand that annoying Stephanie at all. Voula reminds me so much of Clare, and that's not a good thing. I like the show, though. I like that so much of it is focused on the school and the inner-workings there. I think it's kinda funny that everybody seems to be in walking distance from the school and everyone else's houses lol
  4. I agree. That clip looks and sounds more like something out of Never Too Young or even early LIAMST. I think it has a lot to do with them being young, playing guitar and singing, etc, like you said. I'm surprised they didn't just have Bill strum a few notes on the guitar to close the scene
  5. LOL I took the Degrassi date one and got Danny
  6. Love this: As short as this scene is, I can tell why they were popular.
  7. I hated Gail at first, but I've come to love her and Helen, so all I can do is roll my eyes. She deserves much better than this bullsh!t.
  8. Ooh, I can't watch that fuzzy video lol The beginning looks interesting, though. GOOD GOD (Allah?), that Sav is sexy as hell in that little bit where Danny and them get him out of class. And Jane! Jane! She's gorgeous! Glad to see Cassie and Sarah's names in the credits, as well as the Stepto.
  9. A Mark Harmon fan started posting some season one episodes! I don't think the show was any worse than the other nighttime soaps of the era. The whole "It's in the swamp!!" angle made it a little steamy, so whenever people were in various states of undress, they'd be covered in sweat. Whether or not that's sexy is up to you I remember an interview with Morgan from that time where she talked about the infamous Rev. Donald Wildmon calling her the worst actress in television history because of her slinky nightgowns. He also called the show one of the worst ever simply because. Whatever, Donald. ETA: I watched a part of MH's episode of Biography just to see what they say about FR, but wow, they completely skipped over it. Apparently, his career was "still struggling" in the early 80s, but he "could have had a break" on some Steven Bochco [!@#$%^&*] show about baseball. Absolutely no mention of what paid his bills for nearly two years. Ugh.
  10. I wish there was more out there about where Shirley's been since the early 70s. It seems like she's disappeared from the face of the Earth.
  11. One thing I love about the whole franchise is how they're never afraid of to go head first into bringing up old stuff. They don't overdo it in a contrived way, but it comes up when it should. Even people who only know TNG and never even heard of the original series can sing that song for you hahaha I'm gonna start watching tonight. The two shows make a combined total of 70 episodes, so that won't take me long to get through at all. I peeked at the very beginning of the first episode and this warm feeling just came over me when I saw all the little 80s kids running up the school's front steps. Some things never change.
  12. I saw the show on MTV this morning, so I guess it's back on their lineup for a while to promote the new season. They should just put in on like a week-behind schedule on MTV. Not in a primetime slot of anything, just on Saturday mornings or something. It's more appropriate for MTV than it is for what The-N/TEENick is now. SFK: I started downloading the first season of the junior high years. I'll have to let you know what I think about the old, old school Degrassi!
  13. Do you have some kind of on demand service on your TV? We had The-N on digital cable, got rid of digital, but they told us to just keep the box and remote because on demand (and some of the digital channels) are thrown in for free just because. Which I think is fricken sweet, but I digress. IDK if they'll be putting alllll of S10's episodes up on the OD channel, but I would guess/hope so. That's how I plan to watch, at least.
  14. Oooooooh, okok, I get it now. Yeah, that makes sense as a comedy thing in the movie. I thought it was gonna be a storyline on the show because that would have been absolutely ridick. Now it sounds kinda funny and I can't wait to see it haha. Those two have never been involved with each other, and they never would have been in high school, but now that they've matured, they'd sorta be a hot pairing.
  15. WTF!?!? They better work overtime to get us to buy that sh!t. That's just random as hell. And it's irrelevant to the scope of the show, too.
  16. Teena Marie always looks sweaty and smelly to me for some reason.
  17. Rubbish...every last bit of it is rubbish.
  18. Watch it all be true after all. This'll be the first and last time we hear of any "false information" being leaked.
  19. It could be interesting, right, depending on how/when the intsaprogeny is introduced. The whole "long-lost son" angle rubs me the wrong way because it reeks of someone wanting to tell this story, seeing that it would make no sense with any of the current characters, and deciding to shoehorn these brand spanking new characters into the show at the expense of more established characters. Who is the mother anyway? Ken married Val within two or three years of the show debuting, so it'd have to be a girlfriend from early, early on, unless they just create a one-night stand. But, like I said, if they approach it the right way, it could work, I guess. If they introduce Lawrence and James without immediately going into the homophobia angle of the story, then it'll actually mean something and people will actually care when they get to that part. I can't roll my eyes at them bringing on another gay male character and especially tying him in with the longest-serving character, but I wish it was different. Daniel's what, 15? They could have brought him on without all of the stereotypical and purposely offensive homophobic melodrama. But then again, they're looking to shock people out of their boots, so that wouldn't have worked. Ugh, Corrie. The Peacock spoilers just sum it all up for me. Collinson has no use for them, so he's going to write them out in the most sensational way he can without having Ashley murder-suicide his whole family. And really, is this not the same street where Rita was arrested for hitting Chesney? And now Claire's decided that they couldn't live with the shame of Sunita's false accusations? RUBBISH.
  20. Really? "Open a Vein Street" is too nice. Let's Blow This [!@#$%^&*] Up Street is much more appropriate. And it just tickles me how unapologetic they are about all this depressing, violent, contrived nonsense. I can imagine Collinson walking into the studios, pointing at Knox and Derbyshire, and saying "No, no. You are old, you are ugly, and we'll only use you when people get angry at us for not using you enough. Then it's back in the cupboard you go, hags."
  21. Those look like two-parters to me, Stephen.
  22. LOL I had 24th June sitting on this computer for over a week, kept telling myself that I would "get to it," but the simple fact that the episode before it ended with Tina kissing Graeme made me want to take my time. I'm trying to enjoy too many other shows at the moment to waste a half-hour or hour on this show. The characters I like are either backburner, on their way out, or on their way to being ruined completely, so what's the point? I don't like Nick, I don't like Graeme, I'm dreading the relapse of Molvin. Why in the world would I want to watch Corrie right now? I'll just stick to digging up an old episode every now and then. I figured the 50th anniversary would be a great time to be a Corrie fan/watcher, but I'm glad Collinson didn't lead us on or anything and just flat out told us he has no interest in celebrating the anniversary. Now I won't feel the need to watch. Maybe I'll finally use the little extra time to get into current Emmerdale. I've slowed down with the 70s episodes, but I want to get back into those.
  23. Wow...and there ya go. I was slacking on the episodes, but now I'm consciously making the decision to stop watching for now. Pity, because I was enjoying parts of the show a whole lot. But jeez, it's very rapidly going to crap.
  24. I could have sworn we had a thread for the Creekers. Guess not. I've been watching it from the very beginning the last couple of weeks. The first season was always the one I'd miss on TBS, so it's almost like I'm watching all of this for the first time. Some observations: ~ Joey was much cooler here than she gets later on as the "heroine." The smart-ass remarks and side comments about Jen, even though I love Jen, are pretty funny. The only thing I don't like about her is the fact that she's so hung up on... ~ DAWSON! AARRRGGGH. I've always rolled my eyes at Dawson, but DAMN. I didn't realize how much of an A-hole drama queen he was in the first season. I hated the whole thing about him being in Mel Silver's film class. The entitlement, the snobby way he looked down on the jocks and cheerleaders (who did him nothing), the delusions of grandeur, the arrogance. Ugh. I felt bad for him when he learned about Gale and "Back to you," Bob, but even then, he blew the whole thing out of proportion and made it all about him. The way he acts around Jen is even worse. He sees his life as a movie, duh, but it annoys me how he acts as if Jen is just supposed to fall in love with him because that's the way it would happen in a movie. I don't see what she sees in him besides his enormous ass. ~ Pacey and Tamara. Tamara is such a pathetic character. This is Leann Hunley for Christ's sake. She's gorgeous, she's beautiful, she's sexy, and I'm talking about 2010! Why on earth would a woman like that risk her career and her freedom to play around with a 15-year-old virgin? I don't get it. I wish Mitch could have met her and left Gale for her. That would have pissed Pacey, Dawson, and Gale off. ~ Mitch/Gale/Bob. I love JWH so much. The big reveal during the hurricane was one of the best scenes of the season so far, and then the scene in truck outside was great too. Gale's reasons for cheating on him with Bob were weak, and he would have been fully within his rights to leave her. I'm enjoying the season more than I thought I would. I'm eagerly anticipating reliving season two for the billionth time because that, to me, is the real beginning of the show. Pacey/Andie, the triangle heats up, my Jack Seasons 2, 3, and 4 are where it's at with DC as far as I'm concerned.
