  1. LOL Especially during those bad hair years Spinner had, he looked mighty raunchy. Some people are in to that, but All My Shadows is not. It was all about Sean Cameron, his boxer shorts, and his undershirt for me at that time. But yeah, Spin's the only one left. Emma and Manny were in the opening credits for this season, but Emma only showed up once and Manny never appeared at all. I'm thinking they'll be in the TV movie coming out, but I really don't know. DTNG has handled this transition very, very poorly, I think. They wanted to get into telling stories with the new characters, but they also knew the old ones still had fans, so they tried to hold on to those characters even though they hadn't the foggiest idea what to do with them, hence Miriam McD. and Cassie S. being credited with everyone else. Spin's the only one who still fits as a semi-regular. The others can show up in a guest star capacity, like Marco did. Joey and Caitlin are history. With Craig long gone, I don't see them having any reason to drop by outside of visiting Snake. What they need to do is reintroduce Angela Jeremiah, who should be ripe for the "go there"-ness.
  2. That was because Jason Priestley was so hot that Shannen couldn't resist putting her hands all up on his chunky behind. They put the eps online. I haven't had The N in months, but I've mostly kept up through watching it on demand and the occasional online ep. about Spinner and Zest. I actually tried Zest this last go-round, but it's not enough to tear me away from Irish Spring. But anyway, Spinner's come a long, long, long, long way in many ways: as a character, he's gone from being the one-note bully to a mature young adult, as an actor, SK has gone from being obnoxious and green to pretty natural, and as a piece of flesh, he's gone from being a dirty, grungy little urchin to a pretty tappable slice.
  3. LOL people tend to forget that they are twins. I was reading on a board where the posters thought it was very strange how close and touchy feely they were with each other, being brother and sister, but when it was figured out that they are twins, it was totally okay. I don't get it.
  4. THE PILOT!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmjUJnDsK58 I haven't seen this in about seven years, so I am extremely excited to use the available opportunity I have to sit and watch.
  5. at your response to that post. Looks like Riley's little yoga slice is gonna be sticking around. Interesting. The rest of the season, surprisingly and unsurprisingly, doesn't really pique my interest. Not surprisingly because...well, it's the new kids. I can take or leave 'em. Surprisingly because...I've kinda gotten used to them a little bit through season nine. Eh. We'll see. Hopefully ten is the last one, because I don't see them making this 4823948 episodes a season thing work.
  6. Got around to watching these. Tony's just running things, and it's so fun to watch, if fun is the right word. The Underworld scenes are very tense and claustrophobic. I'm liking the whole thing a lot, especially Carla, who I never cared for before but now enjoy most of the time. I'm also glad to see Maria back. Her utter confusion as to what to do when she walked out of the factory was just riveting! The simple fact that she walked clean on out of there to begin with was bold and definitely something different from most hostage storylines. The Gail drama. The only scenes that really stood out to me as scenes that I liked were Nick and Natasha back at the house and David and Tina talking on the bench. 'Chelle and Jack have this great chemistry, I love them together. Nick grew on me a little in the scene with Natasha, though I did find it just a teensy bit condescending. I even liked David and Graeme, and honestly, Other random bits...the more they show Ashley, the more I hate them for giving him the axe. He's just as viable, if not more than, as Steve and Tyrone, and way more viable than Lloyd, Sean, and others. Ugh. I liked Kirk all throughout the hour, which is strange, and Janice/Julie/Sean/Fiz brought some laughs, especially Janice. Max Headroom, indeed. The Roy scene was kinda pointless, no? I get they wanted to establish his coming home and not finding her, but it was kinda out of place. Whatevs.
  7. Friday's episode was all right. I didn't see it as any different from what's been going on for the last month or so, but maybe that's just me. I was shocked to see so many black people! And not all involved in one story! The Fox party was bizarre with all the drunkenness, but I liked it. Ian and the teens was hilarious. Zsa Zsa and Leon can go, but Fatboy has to stay. Those ridiculous car double entendres were so clunky and cheesy!
  8. Shirley is one of the best characters on the show!
  9. I see a little EiE in Knots, too. They were produced by Lorimar at the same time, so it makes sense that they have a similar style and feel. I popped in a disc this morning and watched Breach of Faith, which was probably my favorite of the second season so far, shocking because Abby wasn't a HUGE presence, but she made a lot of things happen. I finally picked up S1 and will be watching from the beginning when I get a chance. I've seen the pilot dozens of times, but I'll tune in again just because.
  10. All this...is just amazing. I can read it all day. SS seems like my kind of soap, from the moodiness, to the raging emotions, the confrontations, Belle, Valerie, etc. I need to see more. Thanks, sayno, for the episode you posted. It's the best one I've seen of the show yet. The Joan Crawford episode is now #1 on my things to do before I die.
  11. :o Wow. I guess it's honorable of them to dump this huge storyline in the name of not wanting to upset the people affected by this tragedy.
  12. *snore* Can't they find anything else for them to do?
  13. Getting ready to watch yesterday's episodes later on, but I did skim through. Tony and his BFF on the bike looks like it will be unintentionally hilarious, as well as the fact that he's in sweatpants. And they changed the End of Part One music! No! That was the perfect music for that part of each episode!
  14. I like the Underworld crew for the most part. Carla's grown on me, I don't hate Nick as much as I did about a month ago (he can still go, though, please). I like the machinists for the most part, though I'm not a fan of Izzy's yet, and Sean and Fiz can be harpy, but I can tolerate them most of the time. I flove Janice. So have you all heard about Jack P Shepherd (David) cheating on the mother of his child? This is a pretty crappy article, but it basically lays out the details, though the pregnancy thing is still sketchy. He's publicly apologized for his adultery, though the pregnancy wasn't mentioned. I'm sure Helen Worth's gonna give him a few unkind words. Her husband screwed around on her twice, so she must have a low tolerance for cheaters.
  15. LOL, this is true. The only difference, though, IMO, is that Hannah Montana isn't hailed as one of the decade's greatest shows of foreverer and nobody, not even the most rabid of her/its fans, saying that it's brilliantly written or a masterpiece or anything. If a Hannah fan believes that, that's perfectly fine, but the second they call all people who disagree jealous, talentless hacks, that's when it stops being fine. That's what too many Gleenuts do on blogs, message boards, etc.
  16. We're laughing at the predictable comments underneath, right? It's getting old. I'm no Miley fan, but the knee-jerk "she jehluss!" comments are extremely ironic, no?
  17. Gah....I look for anything/everything I can find regarding Secret Storm, especially the mid-to-late 60s era of the show. Thank you so much for sharing all your memories! I look forward to more!
  18. The cat's there! It just looks like the poor thing is about to fall to its death because it's going from a higher part of a roof to a lower part, but the lower part really isn't in the frame. What's going on with the scheduling this week and next? I've pieced together what I've read, and it looks like this: Monday, May 24 - One episode. Wednesday, May 26 - One episode. Thursday, May 27 - One episode. Friday, May 28 - Two episodes. Monday, May 31 - Two episodes Tuesday, June 1 - One episode. Wednesday, June 2 - One episode. Thursday, June 3 - One episode. Friday, June 4 - One episode. Is that right? Or are they still sneaking Sunday episodes in there?
  19. Thanks for posting. Uh...it looks strange, no? They should just left the people out. It's almost like they're trying to say "See, this street isn't depressing at all! Look at all of the action, all of the business! It's just like Albert Square!" But it's not. At least the title screen looks nice.
  20. Is that really what most people associate her with? That's so unfortunate. Billie's only even around because the guy played the character when he was a kid, right? I saw an ep where Billie had a big juicy 'fro, and he looked just like the guy who plays him now.
  21. I need to catch up on Thursday, Friday, and today. Skimming yall's posts...yay, more Janine hilarity! I love her and her big ol' 4head, she's great. Re: Shirley. If they wrote her out any time soon, I wouldn't be able to forgive them. She's one of the most realistic, true-to-life characters on the show, IMO. I do wish she'd get away from Phil because he's just a mess and a half. And yes, they need to do something with Carol. I've gotten a little MILF crush on Ms. Coulson after watching her during her original run.
  22. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I've been watching these eps for months, but I've been going at them so slowly. But somehow, I'm on my fourth episode since last night. I might finish the first twenty by the end of the week. But yeah, the no the's and no a's...they all do it, but Peggy just goes to town. I think I once heard Joe ask "Where's towel?" and they all say "...gone t' pub." It always sounds like they've given those objects names.
  23. I took the very beginning of the show very very slowly, but now the stuff with Joe and Mr. Wilks' accident and the Merricks is making me watch episode after episode. I'm really liking it now. I get a chuckle out of all the zero articles in the dialogue, especially from Peggy. She actually said "I'm ironing suit for interview!" That's so odd to my American English ear. Do they still talk like that on the show today?
  24. Eh, it'll give Eileen something to do, so I'm good. I always hoped that it would stick around as a reminder of the Duckworths, though.
  25. I really, really don't like her. At all. If I have to hear Helen W.'s little doll voice say "We.....were bayking biscuits..." once more, I might toss a brick through Ken and Deirdre's window. I loved that scene. David and Peter are two of my favorite characters on the show, and having them there together pretty much made Graeme invisible to me. She is! I'm guessing we're supposed to think he's a "good man" for dropping Rosie, who he's been perving after for months now, in favor of Tina, who he, basically, is perving after now. Ugh. And to make it worst, I'm sure we were also supposed to feel that Rosie got what was coming to her after dismissing Graeme for so long only to be dismissed by him the only time she gives him a chance. Ugh. Too much of that got damn Graeme. It's gotten to the point where they are pretty much yelling at us, LAUGH! LAUGH AT GRAEME! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HE IS SO BLOODY FUNNY! LAUGH AT HIM! IT'S CLASSIC CORRIE HUMOR! GRAEME! LAUGH AT HIM!! COMEDY!!! The breakfast scene with him and Natasha and him trying to kiss David. All of the Oy!'s that are getting on my nerves. Him popping up in almost every flipping scene. It's too much! A lot of characters have been overused, and others have been terribly underused. Eileen and Jason, two of my faves, constantly get nothing and they do get something, they're playing supporting to others. I wish they'd try to get Bruno back. Mary is I've waxed poetic enough about them, I know, but I can watch her and Norris with their shenanigans all day long.
