  5. https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2021/05/kimberlin-brown-visits-the-bold-and-the-beautiful UPDATE: 05/03/2021: Kimberlin Brown posted additional images on her Instagram page today that provided a better understanding of why she returned last week to Television City where “The Bold and the Beautiful” is shot. In one photo, Brown says, “A great day [for] taping for an upcoming special! More information to follow.” She was seen in a photo sitting down in front of a green screen. In another photo, Brown shared an image of herself wearing the same outfit as the first while in a dressing room. Additionally, according to Soap Opera Digest, fans shouldn’t expect to see a comeback for Brown on “B&B” anytime soon as her visit “was not for storyline purposes” setside sources told the publication.
  6. Not a glitch on our end. It's a glitch between Facebook and Invision Power Board (our forum software provider). It's apparently been fixed for an upcoming TBA update to the software.

  8. Numbers for streaming are not publicly available and if they are, it’ll come from the networks themselves since they would know all the specifics without Nielsen coming out and saying what their estimations were. Estimations wouldn’t be fact since the networks would know the facts in terms of total viewers, overall views (minutes watched), and the demographics watching (based on age of subscriber). However, we’d have to trust what the networks say as the truth and not biased in any way. And that’ll never happen. With that said, it is highly doubtful that any show is rated based on total viewers. For instance, “Bridgerton” is one the biggest shows ever on Netflix. The streaming service said more than 80 million households/Netflix subscribers watched at least the first two minutes, which is the threshold they use to gauge viewership. Similarly, Nielsen tracks the top 10 streaming shows and movies, separately and together, using the metric of total minutes watched each week based on the total minutes available for a program. The shows are reportedly getting hundreds of millions of minutes of viewing time or a billion depending on the program. Only Netflix and a mix of Disney Plus, HBO Max and Amazon from time to time gets anywhere near the top 10 of Nielsen’s tracking. The soaps would need to stir a massive buzz to even get a pinch of those numbers for us to ever see their stats. If I had to guess, I’d say that the soaps and most streaming shows get small cable numbers in terms of viewership on a streaming platform And by cable numbers I mean in the thousands, but way less than 100,000. These platforms survive on the overall number of programs it offers for the cost it charges. No single show is generating the monthly revenue, and most shows do not breakout on a platform where it always ranks number one or in the top 10 without creating some social buzz in the process. Take “The Mandalorian,” “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” for Disney+ or “The Flight Attendant,” “Wonder Woman: 1984” and “Godzilla vs Kong” did for HBO Max. Solid debuts. Held up mostly well in released numbers, but those numbers either came from a press release by the platforms themselves or Nielsen. You could tell the success of something by the buzz it generated on social during the week it was originally watched even if the numbers didn’t come out for several weeks. The soaps have an old audience. Let’s be real. When “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” were going online, we had so many people bitching about watching it for free on Hulu (when Hulu had a free option) or paying a buck or two on iTunes. This was during an era when streaming was blowing up with shows like “House of Cards,” which was getting all the Awards buzz. Fans of yesterday and today still watch the soaps at great majority on their TVs. Not a platform or app. And when the networks list the “popular” shows on their websites it is based on visits to the webpage mostly. Not on people watching full episodes which helps, but that’s not what solely takes it to the top of their respective sites.
  9. i have this feeling that there was a 10 years later clause in ABC's cancellation of "All My Children" and "One Life to Live," otherwise "General Hospital" can't carry this many actors, especially on contract.
  10. Aiden Turner is British. He played Aidan Devane on "All My Children."
  11. Anytime I see this show months ahead, I cringe. While not officially the summer in terms of real-life weather seasons, those airdates are during the TV world's understanding of summer.
  12. That's what I figured. Thanks for clarifying, Jason.
  13. I give the character until May sweeps, summer tops, before he's killed off in a "Who Dun It?" storyline.
  14. It's only February (technically March from a business standpoint). They have a full two months and a few days to get a pilot ordered, make casting decisions (mostly done I'm sure since we know what the show's about and it's a show with 41+ years of history, and a plethora of talent already wanting to be in it), so I have faith it'll still be in contention for fall 2021. Heck, even if they don't have all the work done by the time upfronts come around in mid-May I still think time is on the potential show's side. If the pilot doesn't get the green light within the next two or three weeks, maybe I'd be more concerned but not too much. Heck, if nothing else, for all we know the network might just decide to not move forward with the show as a primetime reboot and just slap it onto its daytime schedule instead. It'd make an iconic message that the show came back 10 years after cancellation. One can dream...
  15. The chat is happening on Friday, January 15 unless I got the wrong press release?
  16. Prior to COVID, pilots typically filmed from January-April in order to be considered for a series order leading up to upfronts in May. However, it's possible that many pilots will film in March or April, and we won't know anything until well after the typical upfronts if the Los Angeles situation doesn't get in check soon. Everything generally stands on casting right now. If we hear NOTHING on casting between now and late February, the show will have to really get on the ball to get any consideration for the fall 2021 schedule/season.
  17. Despite how trashy it'll be and looks, I can't wait!!! Just watching this clip. She's high as fuck.
  18. Okay. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
  19. Is there something I should be aware of? Did you encounter any issues when uploading your file? I just want to be sure that our settings aren't impacting your ability to upload documents/files. Let me know.
  20. Post as much as you want. Unless one is openly attacking posters on an individual basis, opinions on issues, including politics, are welcome even if they go against what others think/say. You shouldn't feel like you have to support something or someone you don't believe in for any reason other than people might not like hearing you say it. If the ignore feature works best for you or others, so be it. It's an unfortunate tool but necessary if it's the only solution. Better than the other options.
  21. I'm confused. The edit button does exist. It's in the "..." next to the group "Members". That's how the new system implemented it this go around.
  22. It should be working fine. The video you intended to post shows up in the quoted text without issue.
  23. Hearing Christine Tudor discuss the "Loving" Murders really helps culminate all the discussion ya'll have had on this storyline. It's like a resolution to the questions we've all had. She's amazing! OMG!!! Bryan Cranston!!!
