  1. So what I liked about today's episode was the chemistry between Belle/EJ and Johnny/Gabi. Everything else was a bore. The writing for this show needs much improvement.
  2. This is true. On a somewhat related note, is there supposed to be a jury for these scenes? Or is the judge coming to his own verdict and sentencing? If this is about kidnapping, wouldn't the victim need to be there, specifically in town if not in court? I know they excused it with Sami giving her deposition and stuff but that's a poor excuse, IMO. Additionally, I don't ever recall a time where a victim could be out of the country while someone is on trial for something done to them unless it was a federal case (mostly due to witness protection purposes, if anything). If it's about COVID or budget, I think I'd like to win the lottery just so I could infuse money into this show.
  3. They were definitely the highlight of an otherwise awful episode. I could see them boinking in the court room during that lengthy break. Too bad it didn't happen because when it comes out "EJ"
  4. This is me when watching the Devil storyline, especially today's episode: 🙄😬
  5. "The Bold and the Beautiful" stars Thorsten Kaye and Lawrence Saint-Victor to guest on "The Talk" on Monday, January 17. 6. Thank you! This helps in my quest to find out exactly when it actually happened. No site seems to have noted her being upped to co-HW outside of @Toups and his handy archive here on the SON Community.
  7. That would require more than two gay people on a show at a time, and a show willing to let two brothers be gay at the same time. Maybe on a new soap. Not any current ones. Although...I could see it if they did step brothers competing for another guy but that would require a step family to be a real family and not a plot point because they can't find out what to do with two older adult characters.
  8. Steve deserved better on SATC and deserves better on AJLT. I watched about 20 minutes of the revival and had to turn it off. Not the show I grew up with, particularly from a structural standpoint. You'll have to tune in to find out!
  9. A former co-worker of mine married his wife, had a kid and they were married for 20 years. He's now happily married to a black man and they've been together for many years. His son is WAY taller than him (around 6'6 to his dad's 6' or 6'1), and hot AF.
  10. Raven-Symoné famously insisted that her character, Raven Baxter on "Raven's Home," not be a lesbian just because she is in real life. What you said above is exactly why I think actor's personal lives should be left out of their character's stories. However, Craig has been off the show long enough that it is plausible for this twist to be believable. Additionally, back when it was rumored that Kevin was gay (an era when that info was mostly taboo in the industry) many actually wanted Craig to be gay but not for the reasons you'd think. Some people couldn't fathom any other reason why someone that looked like Craig could get with someone that looked like Nancy since she was plus sized. Bookmark my comment. All I'm sayin'
  11. Thanks, Toups! The way it was worded to me was that it was some time ago like it was an afterthought of sorts (ie. it was long enough not to be that relevant today). Good to have a timeline of sorts that I can look at.
  12. Soap news gets clicks. Mainstream press is getting wise to it which is why the publicists are sending major news stories to them instead of the publications that have supported them for years. While the mainstream press may report the news, the readers of the content don't stick with them...they stick with SON (this place, not that other one), Daytime Confidential, SOD, etc. Same audience. Different outlets. Lastly, online entertainment sites have always existed for the clicks as their first priority. Even the supposed serious news outlets have become clickbait. It's all about the dollars, which I totally get. As for the reboot, let's not forget that COVID put a damper on development during the 2020-2021 television season. Many shows put in development around that time are only now getting looked at as possible opportunities for 2022-2023 since many of the shows looked at for fall 2020 got sidetracked to 2021-2022 (if that) as a result of not being able to shoot a pilot during the early part of the pandemic.
  13. This is true. I'm going to do my best to get these details some way, some how since clearly it's of interest to us soap nerds. LOL.
  14. I saw that thread and that's the closest I got to finding out the when. I'll double check with other sources.
  15. In honor of what would have been Betty White's 100th birthday, "The Bold and the Beautiful" will dedicate the Monday, January 17 episode to the TV legend with an "In Memory of..." title card at the conclusion of that day's episode. Note: The post ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ to Dedicate Episode In Memory of the Late Betty White appeared first on the Soap Opera Network website. Read More
  16. Josh is still head writer and co-executive producer though.
  17. Oh, my apologies. My response came off wrong. I didn't think you were trying to correct me. I'm just stumped on this since I didn't see it mentioned anywhere that she was upped from associate head writer to co-head writer. At first I thought it was a mistake on the WGA's part but I've since confirmed that she is in fact co-head writer.
  18. I know she was associate head writer but with the WGA Award nominations coming out today which lists her as head writer, I wanted to know when the change took place. I was able to confirm with sources that she is now the co-head writer of the show but not when the change took place.
  19. Attention Eagled eyed SONers: When did Amanda L. Beall become co-head writer of "The Young and the Restless"?
  20. Find out who is nominated for a WGA Award in the category of Daytime Drama from "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." 21. I expect Craig to be fired before long. He hasn't done anything positive for ABC since he took over. He only got the ABC gig because Karey moved to 20th Television and it made sense to merge Hulu with ABC but since he took over neither entity has stood out much in terms of gaining viewership or accolades.
  22. Find out how the daytime broadcast shows performed in Total Viewers, Households, Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating during the week of January 3-7, 2022. Note: The post Daytime Broadcast Ratings for the Week of January 3-7, 2022 appeared first on the Soap Opera Network website. Read More
