ABC has us trained...
Oprah comes on at 9 so I think some just stay on ABC maybe,
I just keep it on for the most part but I am a huge Y/R fan so
I flip at 11:30 (if I'm home) I rarely watch in real time
don't have the time.

Charlotte sure loves their soaps!! 11.2 is still insane for a winter storm! Thanks for the market ratings, TMO! And keep them coming. LOL wink.gif

ATWT #1 with 12-17! Wow! LOL. That storm sure goosed those Monday/Tuesday ratings. Further proof that people WILL watch soaps if they are home. Thanks Toups!

Yeah, ABC Daytime is definitely the big thing in Chicago. NBC has nothing and apparently all the CBS fans have died off or lost interest.

In the overall ratings, I'm surprised DAYS is holding on as strongly as it is at No. 3. It's not exactly must-see-TV. I wouldn't want the higher-ups to think it was smart to ax Marlena and showcase Melanie! Eeeks!

Is this the first time GH spent most of the week below a 2.0? Too bad GH is still #2 in the important demos though...

I'm really pleased GL managed to get back to 1.7, and this for a week which had too much of some of their lesser storylines. If they'd had a little better quality they may have got 1.8. I guess with the lack of a storm, the ratings will go back down, but I think most of this week was strong, I'm hoping they will at least maintain 1.7.

No show on daytime panders so much to a male demo as GH. Why are they tied for last in that demo?

Finally! I was wondering if there'd be *any* market where Guiding Light performs well in comparison to the others. This is the only one I saw where it comes in at No. 2! Ooh, and I just noticed that B&B comes on early at 10:30am, and then Y&R comes on at 1pm as a lead-in for ATWT. Interesting.

Also, I may not be comprehending these local ratings in terms of rating point versus population, but it seems like soaps aren't watched at all in Los Angeles.

I am loving Y&R, This soap is the only true real soap on tv, i feel im back in the 80's with the new storylines, the pace of them and the use of flashbacks, i think they are doing a wonderful job

Nice to know that OLTL is the number one soap in NYC. Those Charlotte numbers? Just wow.

Yes, both numbers are interesting....especially that people in the largest city in the U.S. prefer OLTL. Didn't expect that.

And the Charlotte numbers are amazing.....remember when those numbers were the norm for soaps?

It's so funny! I'm not crazy about AMC at the moment, but the fact that it's ahead of GH puts a smile on my face! Now only if OLTL can surpass it as well.

Hopefully OLTL too will pass up GH as well next week. I'm not an AMC fan either, but it always cracks me up when either one tops GH...which I have always hated.

Off-topic....but is anyone else watching this Syracuse/Conneticut Big East tournament game on ESPN? They are tied at 98 and are about to start a 4th overtime.

Talk about March Madness.....soaps and basketball. biggrin.gif
