I've loved the Brad storyline myself. It's nice to see Y&R tell this story and I can't wait to see what happens next. And it's about damn time Don Diamont gets a story.

Call me crazy but I'm thrilled that Nick and Ms High and Mighty are divorcing and the fact that Nick and Phyllis' baby is partly to blame makes it even sweeter. I want Nick and Phyllis to flaunt their relationship right in her face! Can you tell I don't much like Sharon? And Noah will be much better off with two parents that don't hate being in the same room with one another. Staying together for the sake of the kids is a very very BAD idea!

I like b*tch Victoria as well -- it's about time. I like the way Phyl wouldn't take it from her though -- "you've already made up your mind." Great line. I did like that Victoria conceded that noone knows what goes on in a relationship except the people in it. (Isn't that the truth?)

I hate the Neil/Dru story. Dru was under medication and Malcolm took advantage of her. She really did not believe Lily was Malcolm's until the test results came back. Malcolm is the bad guy here. Not Dru. Now she is being victimized twice. It's not right. And if Neil is going to treat her like that, then she needs to drop kick him like the turd he really is.

I like the Brad S/L. It certainly took a couple of turns I didn't expect and that's good. I have no problem with Brad being a "good guy" here. (He has other bad guy qualities -- um, Sharon?) If his mother was a teen in 40s, she would be around 75 -80 years old. (The actress might be young.) As far as the sister being killed and neighbor not noticing -- they were bashed by baseball bats. CSI in the 1980s was nothing like it is today. Why do you think so many rape, murder convictions were overturned in the late 1990s and even today?

Was this Brad story started with Smith and resolved by Latham?

We've had tiny, tiny hints at Brad's history, namely that he changed his name in Cleveland and that he wanted none of his wives to contact his parents but no, this whole Nazi thing is all Latham.

Sharon annoys me to no end. And now we have to watch this !@#$%^&*] play Damsel-In-Distress. GAG ME NOW!

I love the Brad story personally. And Adrienne Leon is great as Colleen, but I can see how Colleen being whiny would annoy the hardcore fans. Hehehe.

I wish the Brad storyline could have been strictly a mystery storyline with the producers, directors, and writers alone setting it up. But as I take it this is a personal storyline of Don Diamond's that he asked for and got(With the emphasis of storyline on stolen artwork, Nazis, and a jewish grandmother. Plus the with the fact that Don,himself, is jewish, and there is nothing wrong with that.). The problem is how can anyone in Brad's shoes be so calm and cool considering he put two people at risk already in JT and Sharon? How much has he still not told Colleen and Victoria about himself? How can Colleen just leave Cleveland and not still know anything about JT and his whereabouts? What kind of girlfriend is that? The Brad storyline has enough holes you can drive a big rig disell truck through and it seems like things about were made up as they went along and not planned carefully in advance.

I like Adrianne Leon too as Colleen. But you know she played an aggressive young girl when she was Brook Lynn on General Hospital and she is definitely a tougher meaner Colleen than we remember her when Lyndsy Fonseca played her. Can anyone tell me why she used so little on General Hhospital and left so that soap so soon?

She was used soo little and left so soon because Brook Lynn was not one of Guza's faves and if you are not a fave...you get no airtime. Look at what happened to Ned and Lois...both characters were basically erased from the canvas.

TIIC @ GH don't know what to do with any character that doesn't revolve aroung Sonny and Jason. I'm Glad AL left GH to go to Y&R. I know GH wishes they would have kept their goldmine for themselves instead of letting her get away.

I didn't know Sharon Case used to be on GH. She played Dawn, Monica's daughter. Y&R makes all of GH's let go people look good.

Yes Sharon Case was on General Hospital way back when, playing the character of Dawn. It was so long ago and she looked so different back then it was amazing when you think about it.

Thanks Casey(and a2sassy) for your replies. Yes if you aren't a Guza and Pratt favorite (Or if you are not Steve Burton or Maurice Benard) they don't have any use for you at General Hospital.

But, here is the thing, as far as The Asthon family being wiped out at GH, Lesli Kay and ABC/GH/Disney had some legal difficulties and as I take it she was fired? Kurth is still part of the show no? (Kurth would make a fine actor somewhere I know he would if he still isn't with General Hospital that is.) I take it that Fonseca and Leon started at their respective soaps at about the same time. But as far as I can see they had very different types of showings at both soaps.Lyndsy Fonseca made and established Colleen on Y&R and was beloved by the fans there while Adrianne Leon's Brook Lynn was put on the backburner. Anyone else have any perspective on this?

Y&R isn't that much different from GH. Lynn has her favorites too, as can be seen by how poorly the Winters story was written (or should I say not written) and segregated from the rest of the stories; as how Paul remains a prop for other characters; as how the Abbotts are being chipped away at (I wonder if John Abbott dying occurs to free Gloria up for Michael's father); as how Ashley/Will were snatched away to make Ashley available to Victor and then disappear; as how Jill has no story; as how Katherine has none either. (Something tells me that Billy returning won't even change that.) I wouldn't exactly say Y&R is a major cut above GH. Because when one can clearly tell who the writer's favorite is, based on airtime and storytelling, rather than plot movement and propping, that is bad and borders on GH type of standards.

There are three stories on Y&R right now: Victor epilepsy, Nick/Phyllis blossoming affair, and Brad's art history lesson. The rest are plot movements. That is typical GH/ABC style of writing. GH has its "big four" who hog up airtime, and so does Y&R. GH has it's favorite teen, so does Y&R. The only difference I see is diva Dru. GH has no such character. Then again, there is only one Victoria Rowell. However, the way she's being used to prop and further Kneel's tantrum leaves a lot to be desired and does remind of GH. As an exGH fan and current Y&R watcher, I wouldn't turn my nose up at GH.

Of course Y&R is better written, let's not forget that.

I think they're doing a good job with the Winter's story and I do feel it's frontburner, just not as exciting as the other stories. They've done a good job of showing Neil and Carmen develop from a friendship to a relationship and now are doing a good job of throwing Dru into the mix.

It's not like one of those insta-relationships, I really do feel they're taking their time with it and working it out. I love the nuNeil! :D

Front Burner=Phyllis and Nick...where we see every single second of their relationship, feelings and everything else. Recently, Brad just moved to front burner.

Mid Burner=The Winters. This story could not possibly be seen as front burner, they don't dedicate much time to it and there are gaps...big ones. For example, when Dru left she and Neil were at odds. They were not the lovey dovey couple, when Dru comes back it appears that SHE thinks that there's nothing wrong (i.e. trying to do Neil on the desk, kissing him all the time and what not)...yes they are married, but they had a BIG problem when she left and there should have been a tentativeness in the scenes when Dru came back, there was not. The story is definitely not frontburner, it only gets about 3 days of real airtime and barely 15 minutes altogether. In addition, we barely see anyone in Dru and Neil's business...they are isolated from almost everyone. Now that Olivia is gone, Dru only has Sharon and well...we all know that friendship is more one-sided. One reason why The Winters story is not exciting, is because it is not well written and we don't see all of the freaking details that we see with the OTHERS.

**This also goes for the storyline with Kevin & Jana, Kevin/Daniel/Alex/Lily and whatever story that they claimed would be happening with Jill.

Y&R is slowly turning into GH in the aspect of the stories, but the writing is much more superior and thats' what keeps Y&R on top.

Yes we see too much of Phyllis and Nick. It is quickly becoming overkill.

And, indeed, the Brad storyline is coming up fast right behind it. Foucault was right. Brad and his storyline is sadly an art history lesson something I was hoping it would never be.

What can be done about the Winters. Sadly they are, yes, segragated from everyone else on the show. Neil is just an subordinate to everyone save Carmen at his job. Dru has absolutely no friends. Lily has just Daniel as a husband(but for how long?) and Colleen as a best friend and nobody else. And Devon has seemingly no life. Sadly for fans of the Winters family they are written that they are characters that you can either take them or leave them and I believe Llatham has decided to leave them ..... over to the side so she can concentrate on the front burner stories of the moment.

Poor Jill. Jack Smith ruined her and Katherine when he made Katherine and Jill mother and daughter. Now they are pretty much forgotten and maybe pushed aside for good like John Abbott is about to be.
