I think Brandt got sick of playing the nice guy..Phillip has been such a boring character the past few years..Kate and Victor are his parents..and Vivian gave birth to him..Phillip needs to be more of a villian type, and needs more of an edge..hope that happens now..

This actually brings up an interesting discussion because remember when the evil Virginia impregnated Vanessa with Tyus' sperm on "Sunset Beach?" She used a turkey baster and that story was forever known as "turkey baster rape." So if that is considered rape, I wonder if it's so outlandish to say there ARE some "types" of rape?

Well I don't know about that one, but if it included a vagina and not a petri dish then it was rape pure and simple.

On this petri dish mix up, you could use rape in some of it's expanded meanings as in "he raped the land" which would talk about the mental aspects of having something from your body used without your permission. For futuristic watchers it's how you'd feel if you were cloned without permission for example. Anyway, semantically the word has been used for multiple purposes.

The latest news on this type of mixup is the doctor who deliberately used his sperm instead of the dad's sperm. Bit of a lawsuit and loss of his license on that one.

But don't you see? This is why I'm so pissed off. Yeah, Philip may have grounds to be mad and all, but Betty Granger isn't the one responsible! The blame will go on her, perhaps Phil will even sue poor Betty and it's JUST NOT FAIR!!! THe glove one did it. And I hope he or she is found out before my girl goes to jail!!

Well, if the hospital had stricter security measures, none of this dumb [!@#$%^&*] would've happened in the first place! LoL Phil's furious and lashing out, and I can't say that I blame him.

Betty Granger will only get the blame because it's soapy that way. In reality, as Kenny so dutifully pointed this out, tighter, stricter, and oh hell, realistic security measures, all avoided.

Betty Granger is seriously my favorite TV nurse--EVER. I'm just surprised no one else is joining in with the Betty-lovin'!!

I haven't been watching, so I haven't seen her. If she's anything like Brenda, though...

ok, so i watched it on soapnet and know why they think Belle has her own egg. They tested the turkey baster next to the petri dish, they didn't test Belle. So if the petri dishes were switched by the glove then the turkey baster they think basted Belle, actually basted the surragete.

I agree, that this will be the future story. They won't find out at least until after the birth that Belle is actually carrying Mimi and Phil's kid and then the search will go on for the real baby. Which could be years down the road ala Billie's spawn.

This does reek of Stefano, which isn't a bad thing. What a way to get a pawn from both the Black's and the Brady's.

So this puts Shawn in the same place as Patrick. Impregnating a married woman who is married to someone else. Phil will flip because Belle won't terminate her (belle/shawn) pregnancy. The surragate will say she terminated Phil and Mimi's supposed baby (but really won't).

The Belle/Shawn/Mimi/Philip story was so bad last week but in one episode it got so good. I have so many reasons to enjoy it now. Between hating Mimi and finally seeing Philip act like his parent's son-its so good. Now Martha will get some good material too. Can't wait for next week!!!

I don't care for nurse Betty but Rhonda was great. What about nurse Brenda-the one that always hated sami and gave her long hours  . I loved that chick  .

The baby story definitely isn't over-like Patrick being the daddy Days left itself a lot of outs where things may not turn out the way they seem. I think they did that due to the writer situation so that Hogan can change anything he wants like the father of Hope's baby, this whole baby thing, etc. I mean look what happened with Carrie-she got pregnant and her and Lucas are back burnered for a bit and a few weeks after they come back there are hints that Carrie isn't pregnant. Again, I think that was Days way of making it easier for Hogan when he comes on.

I agree though about today being great, especially the ending. Mimi's reactions were priceless

I'm just confused as to how you like Rhonda and not Brenda. I'll give you that Rhonda is more natural and urban looking. But she's just sort of boring. Now Betty...damn, that's where it's at! There's just something about her that's so cool!! There's Something About Betty. :)

Wasn't there a movie about some OBSESSED soap opera fan starring Renee Zellwegger called "Nurse Betty?"

ETA: There was! http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1802760999/details

"Fantasy collides with reality as Betty Sizemore, a waitress from Fair Oaks, Kansas hits the road in a "borrowed" 1997 Buick LeSabre to be reunited with the love of her life -- Dr. Ravell. The only problem is that Dr. Ravell is a primary character on the soap opera "A Reason to Live" and Betty, after witnessing the traumatic murder of her husband in a drug-deal gone bad, has convinced herself that she is Nurse Betty, the woman who jilted Ravell at the alter six years ago."

"A young woman believes she is the ex-fiance of a character on her favorite soap opera."

I said I liked both. I don't care for Betty so maybe that is what you mean? :)

Brenda rocked-that bitch was awesome  .

Both of these nurses seem professional like real nurses. Nurse Betty is the motherly looking one who has been on most ot the scenes and to me she looks so competent and honest, you just know she will do the best she knows and trust her. Rhonda has been on the last couple of days, I think, and she looks like an in charge type person who won't tolerate any monkey-business, so she would get outraged at a mess-up. However, she is the one who was there when the glove switched the petrie dishes on the rack wasn't she? Or, had she just walked into the room right afterward? I wanted to walk in and tell Nurse Betty someone did that so she could stop her fainting heart and get it to working again.

I really liked the episode today. It really had the feel of a Friday cliffhanger. Every storyline has a cliffhanger/revelation moment in it.
