There is no missing step, Belle is pregnant with Shawn's baby.

The POSITION of the eggs were switched first. That means that Shawns sperm was next to Mimi's eggs. But then Belle's egg was moved next to Shawn then her egg received Shawn's sperm. This baby was implanted into Belle. The DNA confirmed that Belle is carrying her own egg with Shawn's sperm.

The second switch was performed AFTER the implanting. This was done to cause the nurses and doctors to realize that a mistake was made. They just didn't know what the mistake was UNTIL they ran the DNA testing.

I'm overjoyed! Not for the fact that once again, Belle and Shawn are having an unplanned kid (even though, I love them together) but for the simple fact that MeMe is once again feeling stupid and looking like second best.

Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but Belle intended to have a child with Phillip, not Shawn. This is being forced on her. Mimi's situation is somewhat different because of the surrogate but the end result is the same. She wanted a child with Shawn, not Phillip. I really, really hope the gloved hand turns out to be a bad guy now and not someone like John or Marlena trying to right old wrongs. Because this really crosses the line, IMO.

I was thinking the same thing GBB, that is a kind of rape, not just for Belle and Mimi, but for Shawn and Philip as well. They wanted to be dads with their wives, not the other way around. All four are being violated, even if it's not physical.

IA. Sometime they forget that Lucas is a horton!! And it irks me. I would really love some Lucas or Jenn scenes, or Lucas and Maggie, scences. Lucas and and any Horton. Him, and the rest need to stop living in the past.
