Thank CHRIST their judicial system is fucked up, Chanel! I love all these characters as children and want nothing bad to happen to them. Especially not with Chelsea, when Max is on the verge of taming that shrew.

I'll join the King in FF/not paying attention to a story this week, only his choice and mine differ. I love me my Shelle, so I was laughing hysterically at the end of Friday (I think Victor might be the gloved hand, especially after the remark Phillip made about my dad being a board member, but that's another post for another thread).

My FF choice this week is Patrick/Hope/who's the dad. Who cares? This sick, disgusting, morbid story has to be stopped and quickly.

The hand...could it be Marlena? She knows how Belle loves Shawn and is staying with Philip out of a sense of duty. And she has been pretty crazy for the last 3 years.

If it's Marlena, it's gotta be John too. Although, I don't know whether I'd love or hate Mar for it. On one hand, making Marlena a glove wearing stalker? Even though, she's doing good things this time... It's belivable if you look at who's GAINED. Abe (one of her best friends), Belle (daughter).

I would love for the gloved hand to be Marlena, I keep saying it should be her. What the glove is doing is affecting both of Marlena's daughters' lives. It seems the glove is trying to rectify what went wrong for Belle and Sami (she marrying Philip because Shawn had pretty much dumped her during the SSK and Lexie trying to bring Sami down). Marlena knows for the last two years she hasn't been there for Belle and Sami. It's easy to rationalize this could be her way of "protecting" them, as well as finally letting Abe realize his Lexie is a cheat.

If the glove is Marlena, she could be reversing what she did while as the Salem Stalker, even though Tony was controlling her. It would be interesting to see Marlena do a big plot on her own, without influence from a third party.

Bree your Marlena theory makes sense but now that Sami herself is getting threatening letters now from the hand I don't know if Marlena would manipulate her daughter like that. I mean telling Lexie to hide the truth about Sami is messing with Carrie's life and now the hand is messing with Sami-I am just not sure Marlena would do that but you never know.

Just speculation here, but if Marlena was the glove, it could be those threatening letters is her way of trying to force Sami to stop scheming and ruining others' lives like she has done for the past 13 years. Some type of twisted tough love, something that Sami might respond to more than someone getting in her face and telling her "you've got to stop being bad."

Ok if you watch that last scene when the doctor tells the 'news' - there is an obvious difference in acting abilities between Martha and Farah. Farah seriously is bad. She belongs on a Disney show or something.

Yeah it is painfully obvious. Martha can act circles around the other 3 actors in her story. Brandt is at least showing energy in his scenes as Philip. Cook tries at time but most times stinks. Fath is just ugh .

Wow, I LOATHE WITH A PASSION "Maby" (and of course, think that potential and hopefully neva-gonna-happen coupling is incredibly lame) but I LOVE your thinking about Marlena and how you try to rationalize why it could all be an act of love. It would certainly be interesting to see Marlena undo all the damage she did as SSK.

I don't want to get all militant and "it's my body" here but does all the egg and sperm switching strike anyone else as a kind of rape? Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but Belle intended to have a child with Phillip, not Shawn. This is being forced on her. Mimi's situation is somewhat different because of the surrogate but the end result is the same. She wanted a child with Shawn, not Phillip. I really, really hope the gloved hand turns out to be a bad guy now and not someone like John or Marlena trying to right old wrongs. Because this really crosses the line, IMO.

Well, in this case Belle probably secretly always wanted to have Shawn's child, she said she sometimes wished Claire was Shawn's, and now she's getting what she always wanted. She knows about it, and she can cherish it as it's happening, from the very beginning, unlike with Claire, whom she always thought was Philip's.

Shawn has basically said he settled for Mimi. If he could turn back time and change everything, he'd be with Belle and would be starting a family with Belle. He's probably, deep down, moved by the fact that he is having a child with the woman he loves more than anyone.

Mimi and Philip manipulated their way into the lives of Shawn and Belle. They(especially Mimi) should probably be thinking that this is karma getting them back for the way they behaved. Mimi knows that what she's done is just plain wrong, and Philip, if he really thinks about it, should see that all those years ago when he was standing by Belle as she searched for Shawn, he was really waiting to make his move. He wasn't there just to support her, he was there because he wanted to pick up the pieces of her broken heart. She was very vulnerable back then. Not exactly fair play.

So Shawn and Belle are the real victims. They were victimized by people who claim to love them. And now there's a certain justice in the fact that they are having a child together, and can share the experience together from conception.

Philip and Mimi are only with their respective partners because of machinations. They both deserve the greatest unhapiness.

I don't think Philip and Mimi were manipulative at least in the beginning. But Belle and Shawn aren't totally innocent either. Belle settled for Philip knowing she loves Shawn, and Shawn did the same thing with Mimi. Now they're starting to regret rushing their impulsive decision to marry the other. I guess you can chalk it up to lonliness and raging hormones.

Mimi though, has become manipulative. Although she's being pushed by Bonnie to keep quiet, she has her own mind and she can reunite Belle, Shawn, and Claire. But she isn't. That's why she deserves to be unhappy and alone. She's keeping a baby away from her rightful father, and letting Belle and Philip to believe Philip is the real daddy.

The real victims in this whole mess are Claire and Philip.
