Aunt Jordan is all over TMZ this morning for her DUI. She is being called “The Young and the restless star” even though she only had a short stint on the show..

Well I guess we don’t have to worry about her character coming back anytime soon.

I understand why Cane wants to bring Billy into Chancellor, but I also think it might be a not-so-positive idea that will only result in him trying to undermine Cane the entire time he is there. Truthfully, Billy's place is just not in the business world. I'm not surprised Billy is turning the offer down. I really am not At all.

Sally is buying baby clothes already? I get the sentiment through her excitement, but it also feels like a "too much too soon" kind of thing, given how far along she supposedly is and her previous pregnancy experience.

We are really going there with Dr Markham being romantically into Diane. I hate all of this. So much. Feels so skeevy and such a pushed boundary that does not need to be pushed.

Ain't no way Patty is carrying cat treats. 🤣 Is she still holding onto Mr Kitty all of these years later?!?! And not "5-4-8-8" being Patty's passcode into her phone. You are not meant to be that easily predictable. Dumb-dumb, Patty.

I am really hoping Sally McDonald overhauls the opening titles. Feels like every executive producer brings on something new, and I hope she brings some class back to the opening.

-- Like the Newmans, the Abbotts are rolling in money. They are loaded.

So why aren't they paying someone to get in the house and take Diane? It's all so ridiculous, including that lame dog-barking soundtrack they throw in.

-- Are Kyle and Jack the only customers at Society? We got tight close-ups so we wouldn't notice there's no one else there. At Crimson Lights, we got constant close-ups of Cane and Lily. I saw one customer. Billy and Sally are close to alone at the GCAC. The extras problem on this show is DIRE.

-- It's bad enough that so many scenes take place at restaurants and coffee shops, but the lack of extras make these businesses all look like they should close. A server/waiter walking around isn't enough.

-- How dead ass broke is this show???

The closeups are preferable to the panning shots that show empty spaces. Crimson Lights seems to suffer the most for some reason. Quite often no customers.

Cane spent 3 episodes at GCAC before heading to CL.

Its ridiculous and takes away what little credibility exists.

I feel like Jack's entire plot should backfire on him and the family in the worst possible way, lol.

And I agree that it's ridiculous to have so many different restaurant/night club/coffee shop sets when it's obvious they don't have the money anymore for background extras or even under-fives to serve the characters.

Another problem with the limited sets is that things drag. On Thurs Nate and Stephanie met at GCAC (surprise!) and discussed his past in medicine, regrets etc. that was fine and interesting enough, except the same conversation played throughout the entire episode.

And Thurs ep didn't continue the Diane/Jack/Patty story that was set up on Wed.

Big time budget mode.

Like Superman... without the cape? Oh, Josh Griffith... this is really what you wanted to be one of the final storylines of your seven-year tenure as head writer? Choices. Choices. Choices. Gross. And of course Matt is going to double-cross Victor by telling Cane what Victor's plan is. Pathetic. Nothing riveting or interesting about this right now.

We're just name-dropping with these Newman ranch scenes, aren't we? Reed. JT. Cassie. Who else are we going to name-drop? And using classic clips, via flashbacks, just show how much richer the dialogue was. Simple, classic dialogue, but rooted in character-driven subtext. And poised against the current writing, it shows how weak of a writer Griffith is.

Just as I suspected: this is going to be the avenue in which Nate returns to the medical field, and I am actually here for it. It's a field he should have never been removed from.

This show needs serious emergency surgery when the new HW comes in. There isn’t one single story with any potential at the moment. I just wish I had more faith that Sony/CBS will hire someone somewhat competent and that it won’t be more of the same.

I can forgive Y&R being on a string shoe budget, but the stories insult our intelligence. Taylor Swift is currently taking over MSG for her wedding. Rich people get stuff done. There is no way Jack Abbott would be this passive and at Patti's mercy. Even a regular Joe wouldn't just let their loved one be held hostage.

September/October might be the earliest we see a change on screen if the show tapes a few months ahead. A new (competent and skilled) head writer would need to ditch all Josh Griffith stories and pivot.

IA. Usually, you have ONE storyline that might not be promising, but could be with a little tweaking. But Y&R at the present? Huh uh. You could dismiss everything as a nightmare, and for once, I wouldn't object.

ICAM. As I've said before, this [!@#$%^&*] better come back and blow up in Jack's face, because no one should get away with being this stupid.

-- Unpopular opinion: I don't like Vivica A. Fox as Stephanie. I don't see any difference between her acting here and in her Car Shield commercials.

-- I get really annoyed just seeing Roger Howarth on my screen. I hate this Matt Clark redemption so much.

-- Josh Griffith again proved why he was fired. Flashback scenes from the Golden Years and name-dropping characters we never see will never make this show worth watching.

-- Nathan said his mother (Olivia, another name drop) used to say "Don't yuk someone's yum." I know the phrase goes back a bit even though it's become wildly popular these days, but I do not believe Olivia said that.
