Beyond the Gates, BTG

As discussed in previous threads, we are looking to see what membership prefers when it comes to daily discussion on the current soap operas, specifically whether a daily thread, weekly thread or monthly thread is preferred.

As such, we have created a poll for Beyond the Gates, asking members who watch the CBS daytime drama series to choose which type of thread will be available for episode discussion going forward.

Note: The thread type that receives the most poll votes will be the default setup beginning July 1, 2026.

Monthly (for all). I feel like daily or even weekly topics will get much traction overall. Monthly seems to engage the most overall.

  • Monthly works the best for the volume of posts that come. It's been a long time since daily or weekly threads are sustainable. If monthly threads runs too many pages long then a second monthly thread

  • Bold, BTG, and GH should have weekly threads, while YR and Days should have monthly threads, in my opinion.

I voted daily threads for GH and BTG because those threads are very hard to keep up with if you're not watching same day. It can be impossible to get caught up and participate in the discussions. Y&R/B&B monthly is fine because nothing really happens on those shows and there's very little discussion.

Same with BOLD, I just prefer daily overall. But we're being outvoted with monthly ☹️

I voted weekly (though I'm not against monthlys) simply because it does keep the spoilers down if everyone has moved on to the next week. HOWEVER, I hope that wouldn't not closed off the previous week from comments. Cuz It does take me forever to reply in some cases. I still haven't looped back around to @Soaplovers and our recurring discussions over the writing Pre-Guza-Leaving vs Post-Guza-Leaving for example. There were some good points in the discussion with others, but alas closed off thread.
