This legacy return feels like a break-the-glass situation, given that Maxie is off the canvas. Serena should've already been a regular, especially with the Cody nonsense but here we are. I just hope that there's a story in place and Lynn/Lucy gets decent material.

KK is far from my first choice for reasons @DRW50 mentioned and I would have had her closer in age range to Michael, but whatever. I will take this with optimism. She is an obvious (and smart) Maxie replacement if they do it right, and I have always wanted Serena to swoop in and help Lucy take Deception back from these interlopers. Hopefully Kruger will surprise me.

These were my thoughts as well. I know Kin has been dealing with medical stuff, but the fans that keep bringing that up seem to either not know or forgot that when he made his last exit he flat out said something along the lines of Valentini told him humor was not wanted on the show at that time, and he didn’t expect to return. Now he is classically the boy who cried wolf, but still.

I wish it was Carly too. She was a great casting decision and it was nice to see her as an adult acting with Kin and Lynn again for Lee’s death.

I don’t think this is like JJ and Lucky. It’s not legacy casting so I doubt Frank is being forced to bring Serena back. The Maxie angle makes sense to me, and it’s not like they have a dearth of women in this age range right now, so I assume there is a purpose. But are we going to get basically a blank slate disguised as history and nostalgia bait? Most def!

Interesting, Kelly Kruger might be a good Serena. Glad to see GH finally bringing Serena back. Hoping this leads to Kim Shriner back as Scott, but really doubt it. I think Kelly Kruger may should have been a Maxie recast since it sounds like Kirsten Storms is gone yet again!

Glad Serena is returning but Kelly Kruger is a weak actress. She was awful on Y&R as a recast Mackenzie.

Funny how KK's husband reprises his role on B&B and a few weeks later she lands a soap for the first time in decades.

KK was also briefly on B&B in the 2010s, playing Forrester's PR person in a couple of location shoots (she was obviously there to join her husband on his trip). I thought she was definitely better than her days as MacKenzie.

Kelly Kruger and Darin Brooks were married ten years and announced their split March 2026. Then Darin returned to B&B last week and Kelly gets hired on GH.
