Thursday at 05:44 PM3 days Member From the description in the opening post of this cosmetic changes thread, I gather you intend spoiler threads and unspoiled threads to be comingled within each soap's board, and anyone starting a spoiler thread needs to insert the red spoiler tag button onto the thread title, in the manner you described. This would include weekly or monthly spoiler threads, casting spoiler threads, promo threads, etc, all mixed in with current unspoiled discussion threads, and differentiated/warned by the red spoiler tag button.I gathered you intend to get rid of the spoiler forum altogether (unless perhaps for a rare crossover, or something rare like Billy Flynn and Conner Floyd casting moving over to one another's soaps). [Edit: oh! I guess multi-soap spoiler threads would go in the general "discuss the soaps" forum with spoiler tags. Just like any multisoap unspoiled thread goes in the general DTS forum.]I tried doing the red spoiler button for the thread "GH: Reasonable Doubt promo for week of June 15", but I haven't seen that red button used otherwise for casting or promos, so want to verify I understand? I thought that promo thread would appear in the GH forum; but I guess I didn't do it correctly because it appears in the Spoilers forum. Edited Thursday at 06:08 PM3 days by janea4old

I do not plan on maintaining a monthly discussion thread for spoilers or a dedicated spoiler forum, effective July 1, 2026.The Discuss the Soaps forum and each of its individual show sub-forums should be where all things related to the current soaps are discussed, with the continued expectation that the spoiler post title be as vague as possible. If something is going to happen on the soaps and it is a spoiler, use a spoiler tag as instructed in the first post of this thread, and post it in the forum dedicated to that show. If it is a spoiler impacting more than one show, the post should be posted in the main Discuss the Soaps forum, with the title including each impacted show's acronym (e.g., BTG/Y&R:) as has been the case in the past, and the spoiler tag attached.

Most likely, you were already in the Spoilers & Previews forum when you created that post. To have it placed in the General Hospital forum, you'd need to have clicked on the button (Start new topic) in either the Discuss the Soaps forum (as explained on page one) or directly within the GH forum, the latter of which would have simply opened up a WYSIWYG editor page (WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get) instead of giving a popup asking which forum you wanted your topic placed in, which would have happened if you were in the main Discussion section or the Discuss the Soaps forum.

If your monitor/computer is set to a lower resolution, you will see the MORE link with the hidden menu items in a dropdown. I've done as much as I can to adjust margins and padding, as shown in your screenshots, and have removed all other unnecessary menu items, since some are already available in the footer by default. The menu structure on the main website appears as it does because the menu ONLY links to the pages dedicated to each soap. However, our forum software does not currently allow us to create multiple menus or other placement options without heavy coding (which I'll leave for another day/month).
22 hours ago22 hr Author Webmaster UPDATE: I've taken some of the suggestions provided and incorporated conversations with our advertising provider to make adjustments to the main menu. There is now a dedicated menu at the top of the page that links you to the individual show forums for the current soap operas and is responsive on mobile devices. On Desktop/Tablet:On Mobile:As a result, I've removed links to individual show forums from the default menu and adjusted it to reflect the core elements of our system. Ultimately, the "more" link, as discussed above, should no longer appear, as there aren't enough items to trigger it.

54 minutes ago54 min Author Webmaster I think I'm done with customizing, at least for now. Additionally, I'm happy to see that our ad inventory has returned to its pre-forum upgrade levels, as the bot issue and the new software installed in November 2025 led to a significant drop in ad availability due to the design structure being significantly different from the one first introduced to the community all the way back in 2015.As previously stated, the customizations mark the first significant, unique design change the SON Community has experienced since its launch on October 8, 2001. I'm proud of the work that has been done, and I hope the features available in our current software can now be fully utilized in ways not yet realized, including the return of the Events system, the introduction of clubs and the retirement of the blogs and galleries add-ons, plus two forums, effective July 1, 2026: Love & Othing Things and DTS: Previews & Spoilers. On Tuesday, June 30, we will publish a slew of guidelines to clarify how things are expected to be handled across the community, particularly regarding the use of tags (e.g., SPOILERS), among other subjects.Looking forward to seeing where the community takes us as we move toward our 25th anniversary.
