Someone upthread pointed out that tornados leave a narrow swath of destruction so a house next door might be untouched. This allows a small portion of Fairmont Crest to be damaged while the surrounding buildings/neighborhoods could be fine.

But that wasn’t the narrative being told on BTG, they talked about streets being blocked and power being out for most of the town, If I recall correctly. So, it was definitely far beyond just the club.

I will never stop beating the drum of what a horrible, off-putting, and irrelevant character Ashley is, and what a boring actress Jen Jacob is (she can’t rise above the horrible writing for her charac

MVJ definitely needs to slow down with her unwarranted fascination with Jon Lindstrom - the character is awfully written, but there is nothing interesting about Lindstrom’s performance either. Frankly

  • I personally don't think that disliking White Savior Joey is an indication the character is working. If it's a choice between King Joey and Duprees Strong, I choose neither.

Solid aftermath episode! I hope they keep this up. Poor Eva - needing a liver transplant. I'll have to Google to see how that works - do alive people just give a portion of their liver or what?

episode #308 | original release date: Monday, June 15, 2026 | writers: Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | director: Sonia Blangiardo-Goins

Thoughts:

  • Yes, Chelsea, this is semi-like what happened when you went missing. But just like then, you will all power through this.

  • The aftermath of the tornado is insane; this is going to take some time for Fairmont Crest to recover and really get back into their usual swing of things. I can only imagine.

  • Eva got into surgery quick. That is a good sign that they had the ER prepped for her arrival.

  • I am praying that Martin makes it out of this alive; hopefully his collapsing is just from aftershock.

  • Surprised Nicole is giving Chelsea the key to her office, especially after the security breech with her computer system.

  • Good on Samantha and Tyrell being resourceful in lighting candles to give them some light.

  • Not Katherine's presence about to have me siding with Dana on this one. Get her, Dana. Get her!

  • Abby will not be starting a fan club for Joey. She probably is back in Genoa City, at the Chancellor mansion, with her son. And yes, Devon is Katherine's grandson.

  • It is kind of sweet that this situation is allowing Ashley, Jacob, Naomi, and Shanice share memories about Derek. That felt very healing.

  • No, Ted, actually it is not enough. I am sorry to say it, but it is about time someone laid it out to your selfish, self-centred, spoilt bitch of a daughter about her disgusting, uncouth behaviour.

  • That was a sweet moment in Tyrell comforting Samantha. And woo-hoo for power being restored in the brownstone.

  • Oh goodness. Not liver damage beyond salvaging. Patchwork is not possible when words like 'beyond salvaging' exist.

  • Aw, it is really sweet that Deanna called from her dorm room to check in on Vanessa. That shows a glimmer of some kind of hope.

  • Thank goodness Martin is A-OK! That is a real sigh of relief to hear.

  • Not the crusty rubber ducky. 🤣🤣 I am sensing either major emotional instability or bipolar disorder from Deanna. She snaps on a dime.

  • I see Anita's spirits are UP despite all that she has been through recently. 🤣 She is not happy to have been excluded from the information regarding Martin.

  • Sweet moment of Izaiah to pray with Dana for Eva. Real sweet.

Notes:

  • 😑 After an amazing week of momentum, consistency, and great classic soap scripts, we are back to this... crap. Ugh. I knew it was coming and I am just glad it did not happen last week. Would have ruined it.

  • It feels good that the 'aftermath' of the tornado is not being rushed or glossed over as an afterthought. We are playing it out.

  • Even though she was over the top a bit too much today, Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) did some solid emotive work today.

The last tornado we had in my city touched down in a very small neighborhood and completely destroyed many of the houses there. But it downed trees all over town as it swept across the city; it didn't peel-off roofs or destroy walls except in the small area where it touched the ground. That's typically been my experience with them.

I can't believe I was actually looking forward to this week's episode.

Today was a good episode.

I was hoping Martin would have passed, and his liver would be the one to save Eva. Imagine the Leslie and Nicole scenes.

Btw Joey and Vanessa are a snoozefest.

Is Vanessa this stupid?
