I will never stop beating the drum of what a horrible, off-putting, and irrelevant character Ashley is, and what a boring actress Jen Jacob is (she can’t rise above the horrible writing for her charac

  • I personally don't think that disliking White Savior Joey is an indication the character is working. If it's a choice between King Joey and Duprees Strong, I choose neither.

MVJ definitely needs to slow down with her unwarranted fascination with Jon Lindstrom - the character is awfully written, but there is nothing interesting about Lindstrom’s performance either. Frankly

  • Pomarico's point of view was very apparent today. It did give All My Children vibes. They did a beautiful job with today's episode.

  • Applause to everyone who was a part of this week's episode, both in front of and behind the cameras. This was riveting and absolutely compelling and I could not bear to take my eyes off of my screen for even a second.

100% agree here on both points. I was very impressed all the way around. They really exceeded my expectations and I love it. At minimum, they've locked in Best Directing next year.

I hope this momentum continues and the aftermath spins good stories.

Colby was absolutely fantastic today and totally believable.

Bill can keep his suspicious eyes off of Hayley given how he spent his time during the elevator even using a fake story about where he was.

How adorable the writers chose Joey to save Abby from the falling chandelier.

That as followed by Vanessa telling him that he's a hero and everyone there would be happy he was present.

GAG ME.

Sometime writers shouldn’t be writing for their personal friends, they’re unable to think objectively, and I think that shows with Joey.

Say it louder. I have to wonder who exactly in the audience Joey is written for besides MVJ?

Tomas' level of unbothered was off the charts. It might have been because the writers knew that Alegria wasn't up to playing anything more than that.

Joey saving Abby was a major eye roll. He only did it to try and extract a favor from Jack. What was even more annoying was Vanessa exclaiming "you could have been killed!". Those two were easily the weak link of all the chaos.

The stairwell lie Dani told Bill is going to fall apart easily because that's where Kat and Eva were actually trapped. And of course Hayley already remarked about Bill not being covered in dust. Honestly I am so disgusted with Dani. After all Andre has done for her she has the nerve to treat him like this.

It's not that I was really surprised, but Colby really delivered big time with her scenes.

Dani can save her hysterics about Andre being hurt when he was the furthest thing from her mind as usual because she was banging Bill in an elevator.

Yep. I am so disgusted with Dani. She really needs a therapist, because this continued fascination with the man who wrecked her family and her life is pathetic.

I've had it with her, too. How many times do we have to watch her being drawn to the ex from effing hell?

I think Lindstrom worked on GH. I do not think he works on BTG, and I don't think he should have been cast in the role. I've made that clear, and I'll keep saying it as long as this show centralizes his character.

I do not get it. We really need to see the town mobster be a savior at the fundraiser? We all look down on writing that pimps soap characters, and the pimping doesn't get more blatant than this. I hate it.

If they wanted drama, they could have had Joey and Vanessa thrown out. That would have been more satisfying. It also would have given Joey another reason to push back against the Duprees.

Absolutely agree. Colby Nixon did so much in her scenes, far beyond what she was given.

Some people don't like Kat, so the Colby praise is muted. I'm not only #TeamKat (understanding and appreciating her feelings about Eva), but I think Colby has been a star on this show.

-- Kudos also go to Daphnee Duplaix, who made me believe and see every emotion she had about Martin -- and allowed me to side with her when she attacked Leslie.

While it's easy to understand Leslie's worry about Eva, it's also clear that Leslie acts as if she's the ONLY one dealing with this and that Eva is the ONLY one in danger. Once again, she was completely selfish, and Nicole called her out on it. I have no problem with that.

Leslie is not some sweetheart just because she wrapped Anita's ankle.

Like are we supposed to root for Dani and Bill just because the actors have chemistry? I’m sorry but that’s not enough to sell me on a love story that makes one of the parties look absolutely pathetic, and she’s no better than Bill at this point. After all that lamenting Andre has had to listen to her about Bill, she just turns him into her Dani. I once supported Dani and Andre but nah. She’s ruined that too. Maybe this is what the writers want, for us to think these two trashy cheaters belong together.

Count me among those who think today's episode will provide a great Emmy reel for Colby Nixon. She was so good and resisted being over the top.

Dani often has me side-eyeing her but I was genuinely revolted by her today. That man probably bumped uglies with a different side-chick for every year they were married. Now you know that it's unlikely that the NAACP is insisting on character development or story trajectory because Dani has no dignity. I wonder if Hayley will be the one to end up putting two and two together. If she does, she might just go for half of what Bill owns.

The transplant story is just "meh" for me, I'm not sure what that leaves us with in terms of a story with legs. Kat and Eva end their feud? And?🤷🏾‍♀️I guess we'll have to see.

And in terms of destroying sets, I never said that I thought checking up on how "the other half lives" meant destroying either Uptown or Orphey Gene's. I only meant exactly what I said. I have been in two tornadoes and I know that some places end up with damage while others remain intact. Mona had a whole event at Orphey Gene's so I thought we would have at least seen a two minute scene with Mona and Jan huddled in a corner, grateful that where they were was spared from the storm, checking for news of others. I honestly don't think it would've busted the budget to film that brief scene and stick in during post.

I really do hope these writers start to pay attention to characters like Anastasia, Mona, Laura down the road, so they don't have to rely on a big (budget stretching) event to keep momentum.

Poor Andre

I really hope he doesn't get the Gwen Rizczech/Cam Webber treatment when the truth comes out.

This is also the most I've enjoyed Leslie in a while too. And probably one of the first times that I've enjoyed Kat 😂😂

I appreciate this. Sorry if I misunderstood your point, because I agree with you, especially about the event at Orphey Gene's.

I would have preferred seeing that and cut back on "the ballroom is blocked" stuff. After awhile, it made no sense that people were milling around all over the place and the roads were cleared, yet the ballroom was still blocked.

And did we get any audio indicating tools and machinery was being used to open up the ballroom area? No. Maybe a scene from Orphey Gene's would have kept my mind from going there.

Anita being all dismissive and judgemental toward Hayley is rich considering the toxic trash she raised Dani. While she was accurate on her assessment about Hayley to Kyle, the delusional one will just excuse Dani by assuming Bill manipulated her into doing what they did.

With that said, we all knew Dani/Bill would hook up again.. and I think having it happen when the two hadn't interacted was an interesting story choice. We shall see what the fall out will be.. but all I have to say is.... Poor Andre.

Andre is going to be in pain when he finds out about Dani and Bill elevator hook up. I really hope Andre doesn't turn to Ashley.

Silk Press Sheila showed a vulnerable side when it came to Eva. Maybe its a way to make her less of a one-dimensional villainess and extend the character's shelf life.
