IIRC, Paul is younger than Belle, but barely. His conception happened between the end of John's affair with Marlena and while John and Kristen were separated when she was with Tony. Post-Maison Blanche. So basically John had 3 kids in 3 or 4 years lol. I assume it was a flub in dialogue on the writers or MM's part. It's so hard to tell at this point because everyone ages have become the same and now Belle appears to be age appropriate for Chad and Chad is Will's peer.

I think Belle just stop aging like Marlena did in the 90's lol.

I always thought Paul was supposed to be older than Belle, but younger than Brady

It's more confusing than usual because Christopher Sean looks younger than his age and Martha has looked matronly for 20 years to me, lol.

The backstory was weird because John was onscreen every day the entire time. The reason I thought Paul was younger is that Tori was pregnant when John was a priest and that's why she decided not to tell him about the baby. Plus, he appeared to be Will's peer? Google is not backing me up on this though and I was quite confident about this lol!!

From what we saw it was

Isabella

Rebecca

Marlena

Kristen without much gap in between. Perhaps the affair occurred in the Isabella/Rebecca gap instead?

Regardless all three of them would be super close in age.

I vaguely remember the flashback of Tori saying that she didn't tell John about Paul because he was a priest, but I always thought she also said that Paul was already a little boy when that was supposed to have happened

I honestly don't trust my own memories now. I thought she was pregnant haha! And that's sort of weak excuse regardless Tori because John already had two kids by the time he was a "priest". What's one more?

I still say Days could’ve made Paul’s existence a lot easier to understand if they had consulted Jason47 or another Days historian before they wrote it 😂😂😂
