It is beyond me why they brought Lexie back just for this. As baffling as the quickie in and out Peter Blake thing after like 30 years. Unless Lexie comes back as a boss bitch villainess there was never any reason to resurrect her. I don't blame Nikki Crawford who is notably good in other things elsewhere (and it's got me thinking about Keesha Ward over on GH tbh), but the whole premise and scripting for her here suck and make her worse onscreen.

Peter's return and death is especially confusing as there was zero point.

I genuinely do feel like someone at the show is just trying to bring back every Dimera they can, even just for a pop-in.

I've been catching up on the show. My random thoughts: The Lexie is Alive storyline is awful and the actress playing Lexie is a cold, brittle, dud. Renee Jones imbued Lexie with a warmth and sparkle t

  • Yes, it's the characters! I've followed or watched this show since Aremid, so I'm aware it's generally more bad than good when it comes to story. I mean, I can get through the 'excitement' of a civil

I have no idea if it's a more heightened push of just this regime or also the last several, but the push in the last 5-10 years to try to mainstream the DiMeras as a normal core family with businesses, etc. just has never fully made sense to me. I have never seen the DiMeras as the type to sit around boardrooms talking about their ventures in conventional business storylines or bond about their everyday troubles. It's one thing for E.J., etc. to make power moves and keep up roots in town but it's another to treat them as kind of a shadow version of the Bradys. (And the Kristen recast lasting this long doing nothing much is still crazy to me)

Wait a minute, they killed Peter off after the, if you blink, you miss his return.

It's gotta be the current regime. Plus, isn't it an established fact that Corday pretty much gives his head writers free reign?

There's always been a little too much focus on the Dimeras, even before Ron, but I don't think it was ever like this. Having EJ basically poke his finger into every pie isn't helping all that much either.

Yep. Rolf injected him with something, and then he was dead. At the time, I thought they were implying that he was gonna be brought back sooner or later, but now I'm not so sure.
