I loved today's episode. The B & C stories are just as compelling as the lead one. I am a big fan of Shanice's & Ashley's friendship. Jan & Derek were also interesting.

Hayley is a hot mess LOL and Chelsea needs some self work before being in a relationship or getting married.

Ahhhhh. So this is that "OOPS" moment pertaining to the month on Dani's phone. Lol. I really gotta hand it to those viewers who have such sharp detective eyes. I'm not surprised by this blooper though. It aligns very well with a host of other glitches and miscalculations this show has "rewarded" their audience with.

Thoughts:

• Damn, June knows about the Impaler? I wonder if it is from current listenings at Orphey Gene's, or if it stems from her previous history of living on the streets. I love it.

• The continued friendship bonding between Ashley and Naomi is super cute, and it is good that Ashley is staying on her about telling her family concerning her positive test results for the BRCA gene.

• Lynette coming in HOT with her acting skills!

• Chelsea is going on full pilot mode. She has GOT to come down about twenty million notches! But I do love that Madison is complimentary of 'Miss Anita' and her new 'do. And Anita is very observant of noticing Madison hiding her left hand/ring finger.

• Not Bill auto-blocking Hayley's phone call. That man does not want anything to do with his child bride.

• It looks like Dani is fully back into the modeling world, via Tatum's new fashion line. How interesting.

• Uh-oh... not Bill saying he needed to talk to his 'wife' in reference to Dani. That is insanity.

• I absolutely love how supportive Anita and Vernon are, both as parents and as grandparents. Knowing they are studying where to visit and the language. It is super sweet.

• Oops... not Madison not going to Denmark.

• So June knows either who the Impaler is or knows their motive. That is a stern warning from June.

• Madison refusing to go to Denmark over her engagement and love with Chelsea is such a move. Not one I would likely make, but it is a move regardless.

• The way Lynette spoke about Hayley's engagement ring... it is making me think she may have her own agenda up her conned sleeves.

Notes:

• Excellent script work by Montgomery and Brown today. They work exceptionally well together.

• Whew. The amount of content pushed into today's episode made it fly by. If only every single day were like this. We would be in pure Heaven. But even on its slower days, Beyond the Gates is still miles ahead of the rest!

From top to bottom today's show was excellent !!!!

Tuesdays are must see TV at this point.

Chelsea/Madison are deadweight.. cut them. MVJ needs a strong individual to push back against her because this is not the couple to root for. If Ashley and Derek were able to get a soft-reset for season 2.. than so should Chelsea.

Im sorry but these lesbians are exhausting. They literally keep making important life decisions and changing their minds within the matter of hours. Bill is freaking out at Dani's house not realizing that things have changed since eh saw them that morning at breakfast

Another phone error today. Hayley's name was spelled as Haley on Bill's phone, but the character has been listed as "Hayley" in the credits.

Jacob is going to end up have to beat somebody up to pass the loyalty test.

Lynette is fixing to blackmail Hayley with that ring.

Can I say that I love that the older cousins (Martin/Naomi) have a tight relationship like the younger cousins (Chels/Kat) do?

This week has been great so far. I loved the mixing of Derek/Leslie. The Leslie/Shanice interaction was great too, though I do wish they'd tone down Leslie a little bit.

Oh Hayley, what are you getting into now? lol I was expecting her and Lynette to be telling different stories to the cops at the same time, but clearly they rehearsed what to say on the way there.

I still don't buy into Jacob being able to be undercover in the same area he works and his family has a history of being cops. There's no way the "bad guys" wouldn't recognize the chief of police's son. I also can't picture Jacob being intimidating or threatening while he whispers his words.

I do like how this Impaler story seems to be pulling in so many different characters. Smitty would have been better off if he teamed up with June. lol

-- The writing for Chelsea and Madison is awful. Chelsea is a flighty mess, but Madison is even worse. This is a woman who supposedly pushed through YEARS of study and work to become a "leading neurologist," but now she's changing her mind every 5 minutes about her life's work? Because of a relationship that's months old?

-- I never bought in the first place that Madison was next-level enough to get the Denmark fellowship. Why not just make her a good doctor? Instead she has to be one of the world's stars. They've also done this with Anita, making her an EGOT winner when saying she won a Tony and Grammys would have been more realistic and reasonable.

-- Speaking of dumb, these constant public meetings between Jacob and Smitty are ridiculous.

-- Jacob as the undercover cop does not work. He's just not anonymous enough.

-- I'm not sold on the plasma storyline because of the emphasis on making it all so cloak-and-dagger. Wouldn't a story like this be a bigger deal, involving more authorities? Would it be this difficult to uncover actual evidence, including this mobile truck?
