Happy to see they didn't cheap out on the flashbacks. I didn't want them to end, but of course, playing the 2025 music with them is basically rage bait.

I thought they handled Marie's relationship with Tommy and Mike's conception sensitively, whereas previous writers wouldn't have done so, at least not to the level of my tastes. I would have liked Tate bringing up John's amnesia in a quick line as a way of connecting to Marie's story of Tommy like people would normally do. Also, I really wanted them to bring up Sandy. I hope she's mentioned at some point this week, but I won't hold my breath. Even just a line mentioning her in passing, but that they lost touch with her somewhere along the way would suffice. And with Mike's conception being brought up, having Johnny connect with Jeremy somehow would be a nice touch. Plus, I think if Chad/JJ/Johnny all started to trust Jeremy,  I would use it to lead Stephanie down the more troubled psychological path I think she should go down, but that's me playing Head-Writer again.

The drama at the hospital still being about Bill's family as his dramas were being remembered back at the Horton house are one of the great things about soap opera that make me love this genre.

Michael Roark is so great as Jeremy, and today's scenes with Roark Critchlow showed him to be great casting from a familial point as well.

So if Jen takes Chad to court couldn't Chad use her addiction and running down Gwen against her ? Jenny Rose ain't thinking. Hope it bites her in the ass

Were those flashbacks uploaded anywhere? I love that they showed stuff that we haven’t seen in the usual flashback packages. I don’t currently have Peacock. Don’t post a link, I don’t want it taken down. Just tell me if anyone has seen them and what/where to look for them!

I think that is the logical next beat, while Stephanie is busy with her book tour, everyone starts to slowly warm toward Jeremy and believe they can trust him.  Then, when Stephanie comes back, she'll be isolated in her belief that Jeremy is still a threat.

Watching Marie tell Jeremy about Bill and Laura, made me recall a recent issue.  Does anyone else remember a scene that whitewashed Bill's rape of Laura?  I seem to remember within the past decade, there was scene that tried to reduce Bill's blame? I honestly can't recall the context, but I remember there was a lot of discussion at the time.

That being said, it was refreshing not just to see the flashback, but hear them contextualized.

Although, there's something funny about Marie meeting Holly very few times in her life, and instantly telling her one of her biggest secrets.  But, I'll let it pass, as we don't know if Holly and Marie have a Horton family text chain off-screen.

Wasn't it Maggie and Justin?

She was trying to comfort him over Alex "not" being his son and she mentioned how Mickey went through the same thing, but she said Bill and Laura had an affair

I won't be surprised if that happens. I would hate for Jeremy to be thrown under the bus for Stephanie/Alex but that's pretty much what's going to happen. Why else would they go through the trouble of bringing back a character that hasn't been on screen in nearly 20 years just to turn him into an irredeemable psycho that has to eventually be killed off just like Nick before him? Even worse yet this is Mike's only child. Maybe if Mike had another kid that was a good egg, this wouldn't bother me so much. This is why a part of me is hoping if Liam sticks around long term maybe eventually it'll turn out that he's Mike's long lost kid.

That's it.

It was offense by omission.  If Maggie had another line to explain it, she may have.  But, also, at that moment, she may have thought Justin didn't need the whole rape part of the story, because Mickey and Mike's relationship was the focus of her point.

But yeah, it is an interesting example of how two different writers approached history.

No need to mention which is more dramatically and naturalistically satisfying to watch as a viewer.

@MissPhoenixGirl92 - Liam needs to start showing up to appointments, we've seen like 5 minutes of him so far.  But, I hope we'll see him while Mike is around.

Here's another nail in the Jen coffin of shame for today.  Why does she assume Jack would agree to her wanting to raise Thomas and Charlotte?  Meanwhile, as I mentioned last week, they're all so allergic to returning to the courtroom set, that I am unconcerned about Jen's threats.

Yeah.

A writer probably didn't do their homework lol

Jennifer is still a hypocritical bitch

The Hortons can do horrible things and be forgiven but anyone else who does mistakes cannot I guess

Plus the accident was all on Thomas

Yep. I was almost ready to give her a little slack -- and then she mentioned fighting for custody of her grandkids. Chad should have laughed in that sanctimonious bitch's face.

The accident was definitely ALL on the kid. Blaming Chad for that is the height of ignorance and having NO understanding about raising children.

Completely agree. Roark has been exceptional as Jeremy, and there was an immediate physical and emotional connection with Roark Critchlow in those scenes.

Closer to home, I doubt Holly and Tate know the extraordinary issues surrounding their gestations and births.

I wonder if Tate knows or not, I remember when he first return to Salem, Kristen called her Christopher and he corrected her.
