Eva entering without an invite because the door is unlocked makes me chuckle since entitled Dani loves to do that all the time, but also makes me think security needs to be beefed up.

Chelsea being unaffected is a symptom of what's wrong with modern day soap opera telling... plot over character.   She should have been the one to fly off the handle for Eva just randomly showing up.. but she was calm and rational.  Bad writing.

Samantha is a moron and a waste of airtime.  Can she just go live with June and the two be written off?

The look Caroline gave during her 1:1 scenes with Hayley makes me think she knows a lot more than we think (maybe she's more aware of Hayley than she, and the viewer, assumes).

Martin flying off the handle is pretty in character.. and I've always thought that Martin and Smitty had an abusive undertone to it.  The man tried to sabotage a job opportunity Smitty had because he didn't want him to work.. if that isn't a symptom of abuse, I don't know.

What I like about the Kat/Eva dynamic is that both of them have good points and bad points.  Kat is a spoiled and entitled princess, but she also knows how to read people and was/is right about Eva while Eva can be underhanded, but she's got drive and has had to hustle in a way that Kat has never had to do.

It's been established that Hayley hasn't known Naomi and co for very long.. perhaps two years at most so it would make sense she wasn't aware that there was a 3rd brother.. especially if he's been off the canvas for awhile.

Hayley being thristy is funny.. but she needs to stop being so sloppy.

Today, is the best acting Alex Alegria has done since the premiere. Definitely more of that please.

I love where all the stories are going but Eva vs. Kat is pure gold.

I know this is SUCH a nitpick, but have I been handling my jobs (including two at universities) all wrong?  I never thought that I might need a lawyer to look over my contracts for pretty straight forward job positions (which is what it seems like Isaiah's job is--and Isaiah in particular doesn't seem like the type of person who would need a lawyer to go over it...)

No and it was stupid. Needing a lawyer to look over an employment contract makes sense in certain industries such as entertainment (where non-compete is an actual concern) or a high salaried job like CEO of a corporation. A student counselor? Hes probably not even making 6 figures and definitely does not need a lawyer for that. At that level those contracts are fairly standard

I'll say this much...I'm getting really excited for Winterfest. Especially given my comment about Martin being rolled into it by Samantha's antics last week and the Martin/Smitty conversation (which was great cuz there should always be that tension over trust between them post-Kenny) yesterday.

All A stories have been roped into it in some way subtly. So hopefully it pays off. :)

I think Winterfest is where we're going to have a full on Kat/Eva brawl. At least I hope lol.

Kat/Eva is the best rivalry on BtG right now.

No, I also thought it was weird that he hired an attorney for such a contract. However, we still don't know his backstory and the woman who was messaging him. I assumed it was in someway tied to that, because as you mentioned who gets an attorney to review a standard job contract.

Would've love to have seen the alleged hellraiser that Izaiah supposedly used to be. He's been depicted as bad news by everyone he's come in contact with so far. I'm going to assume he won't be completely devoid of his naughty ways.

Derek and Ashley's storyline really is uninteresting. I'm still trying to figure out if it's the writing, the actors (and their chemistry) or all of the above. I wish I felt differently.

LOL at Leslie and her "Mr. Linguine".

Much-needed scenes for Ted/Kat today.

Ashley's played in his face for months about Andre, but somehow she's the victim

It’s such stupid writing. We should be on Ashley’s side but she’s actually awful and didn’t actually even want to be with Derek so it’s not even some big betrayal. Plus DEREK STILL CAN’T WALK.

  • A lucky quarter? Now that is cute, but not Vernon insinuating he used his influence for Dani and Nicole to pass their finals. That was hilarious. And very timely.
  • Not Dana getting her kicks at Eva giving it to the spoilt bitch (who got only a sliver of what she deserved to receive).
  • Throw his shït out, Ashley, especially that ugly chair. Just burn it to the GROUND!
  • Not Shanice getting all weepy at Derek standing up. Yes, he can stand, but walking is different.
  • Ted is saying all of the right things, but the spoilt bitch cannot take her head out of her uptight behind. She is speaking completely out of turn. Disgusting, vile person.
  • Aw, love seeing Jan joining Dana and Eva for a meal at the country club!
  • Well, now Derek has graduated from a wheelchair to a walker, and Ashley is colder than cold, as she rightfully should be.
  • Something about that photo Andre took has Dani feeling a certain way. I wonder what is causing that, truly.
  • Shanice just proved a point: Derek's actions (or lack thereof) just freed up Ashley for someone else. Boo-yah!
  • Naomi is steely cold to Derek, who deserves it. Now get your ugly-ass crap out of Ashley's apartment! I would have set them all ablaze myself.
  • The trip is off? Oh no. What is about to go down?!

Notes:

  • I appreciate that they re-dressed another set (I am assuming the shared Nicole and Ted set at the hospital) is being used as the physical therapy space at Garland Memorial. A good use of existing sets to be re-dressed and look new.
