To be fair, it's private property.  Tracy's parents are presumedly in there.  Monica was a public figure, and Tracy is reacting to a stranger.  So, it seems in character.  They're both old ladies, so it is not as if there were threats of violence.

That being said, I get the narrative value of a crypt on soaps, but it is still a creepy home addition.  I mean, if the new Ms. Bard winds up owning the Q Mansion, is she going to want Edward's remains in the backyard?😉

I really like the way Nina is handling Willow these days. No more sniveling.

I finally got to sit down and rewatch the start of the Monica's death storyline. First time around, all I wanted was to see the scenes just breathe and there was too much unneeded stuff going on that was making me see red.

I liked the set-up to it. I love that Monica got to see Scout and Wiley on the first day of school before she passed. I liked going into it there was a Michael vs Willow scene that echoed old school Alan vs Monica. And the discovery...the body...the immediate aftermath. I've loved every moment with Tracy and Jason. It was focused on who I wanted to be focused on which I liked. The small moments they had separately and together really got to me. Jason's single tear. That moment where Tracy touched his shoulder when the sheriff showed up. The Tracy/BLQ/Ned scenes...cuz FINALLY Ned...and WK looked so rocked in those scenes. And the Jason/Danny at the cottage scene was a good Friday coda. Well...should have been.

That brings me to what made me see red. It was not any less annoying on a rewatch. Just this time...I FF. And it should say something that there were really only two things that I would have kept. Gio/Emma first kiss after getting Outback back. The Drew vs Danny scenes which in hindsight beautifully sets up Liz hitting Drew where it hurts with the Monica news. And I barely say this...the Laura meeting scenes since it was a plot point that seem important. I would have liked more flashbacks because the other things that played out (shenanigans for Britt with Liz/Lucas/Carly, juvie hijacks with Cody, that misplaced Sonny moment) just felt extremely unnecessary and of that really annoying trope of this writing team of using the wacka wacka. Just given the serious matter...NO. At least with Cody and the Outback stuff...I do get what they were trying to attempt there. It echoed the recent week of BTG where the Dani/Andre antics offset the more serious stuff about to go down on the canvas aka a murder. Honestly, BTG pulled it off better and I didn't feel like I was taken out of the scene...unlike what happened with the start of Monica's storyline.

Speaking of out of scene...I know I said it, but let me repeat myself...the start of the Nathan storyline while the Monica storyline is going on and WITHOUT Maxie...is something that could have waited. And mostly definitely did not need to be the Friday coda. It felt IMHO poor taste.

Not in poor taste? That as the week in question ended people started to gradually find out about Monica. And it sounds like from what little I read here on the week, this past week is going to be much better overall, complete with more flashbacks. I didn't want to be tooo spoiled so I didn't read everything, but I love a lot of what you all said that I did see. So I'm looking forward to digging in more, having some good sobs, and of course, I already know (okay and have seen cuz I love and have always love me sum ES) this past Friday's coda. And that works completely for me AND is Monica coded as it should be.

Glad to know Someone agrees with me and that I'm not losing my mind. I saw great acting in scenes that were episode highlights, but I don't think the intensity of that argument worked.

Yes, I basically think I am nitpicking minor things, but it felt like it escalated so quickly.  Tracy even knew this woman existed.  I guess I have to see how the Ronnie character plays out.  I don't have any great investment in Slezak or Victoria Lord like most and it felt to me like the scenes were just written as Emmy bait.  Good actors, but not the best motivation for that type of argument.

The scenes were fine. Not spectacular. I also didn't see the need for Tracy to be aggressive, but it's just how Tracy does in these moments.

This has been such a welcome change. There’s only so long you’re going to grovel after your adult child who gets off on treating you like shi.it. I hope it continues.

It really just felt like normal Tracy nastiness with people she doesn’t know or trust. I didn’t really see anything out of the ordinary.

Loved seeing ES again on my screen! I suspect she'll make a play for the Q's house.

I've only watched GH in bits and parts here and there for years, but I've found the show solidly entertaining the past few weeks, especially in comparison to the boring writing on Y&R or the cartoonish stuff on B&B.

I haven't paid attention to GH in several years, but I decided to watch today to see Erika. Loved seeing her on screen again!

So many familiar faces are on this show and it was great to see!  Finola, Maura, Watros, Hearst, Wagner, Grahn, Wright! Gosh, some of these ladies have aged so well in the last 20-25 years!

This Nathan character is very handsome!

I really don't know any of the new faces or storylines, so was hard to follow, but I loved seeing all those vets today. I went back and watched last Friday's memorial for Monica and that was so great to see. I thought Cameron Mathison's character was killed off and he left the show - is that not right?

The mansion foyer set is quite grey and drab, they need some color.

Not sure if I'll keep watching, but this was a fun ride down memory lane today.

Yes, I loved seeing the vets. I especially loved seeing Erica Slazak again. I wish more sops vets like Don Hastings, Kim Sullivan, Elizabeth Hubbard, Eileen Fulton popped up on other soaps when ATWT ended.

We needed more clips of Alan and Monica fighting. I also wish we could've had Leslie write a letter and flashback to their time, especially the scene of when Leslie slapped Monica after AJ's paternity reveal.

A little bit of Nikki Smith was coming out in Erika's performance

The blandness of Ryan Paevey's performance actually worked to the show's benefit on Monday's episode, because even though I could tell from Britt's reaction that he's playing the "boss" she fears, I genuinely couldn't tell if he knew it too or whether he has memory loss and has reverted back to Good Nathan.

In other episode news, I loved how we got Kristina referencing Abby and suggesting that maybe her brother has a thing for sex workers. I also appreciated how they wrote Molly as smart enough to immediately figure out that Jacinda is Michael's alibi and their run-in with her at the Q mansion was all a set-up.

Finally, what a joy to see Ric again! I have no idea where this story will go next, but I'm eager to find out.

The casual recitations of "Alan gave it to her" from half the cast are hilarious here.

This was great.

That used to annoy me to no end in the late '90s and the '00s, but the later versions with even the characters knowing how absurd the constant use is do amuse me.

The dry, lackadaisical delivery Setton, Chad, even Maurice do just cracks me up. It also has more charm today when the Qs are the central core of the show again, as opposed to being a graveyard.

That definitely helps.
