I will say Chris McKenna looks much hotter in recent days as they've gotten a handle on dressing and styling him, even if Brennan remains a lousy role and he's miscast. He is selling the authority at least.

Agree with all of this. McKenna looks better, and I also think his losing some weight helped.

The role is lousy. Showing this authority is great, but running the WSB as if Joss and Vaughan are your lead employees is laughable.

-- The "Dalton Knows About Cold Fusion" story would make me crazy except that Y&R beats it by a mile with the "AI Will Take Over Every Company in Genoa City."

-- Why is Stephen A Smith on this show? Is he good friends with Frank or something? In an era of tight budgets, why spend money on a glorified extra like Brick. If this is supposed to elevate the character of Sonny, it doesn't work.

I follow sports, so I know Stephen A very well. My guess is that over half of the soap audience has no idea who he is or where he makes his millions, so I don't know who he brings to the show.

I'd guess this is something from ABC/Disney. I doubt Frank would be that invested. Stephen must enjoy his visits as he never seems like someone who doesn't do what he wants to do.

I think he looked good before. That shower scene months ago. Wow. I kept thinking that's not little Joey anymore.

Why does Carly feel the need she needs to be clued in on Jason's every move.

Britt isn't her personal business.

Frank still sometimes operates under the ABC mandates of the 2000’s, where they bring in anyone not famous for a soap and consider it good publicity for new viewers. As if that man is bringing anyone to watch him along for the ride. Brian Frons would be proud of this legacy.

She has always been this way. Everything is Carly’s business, especially if it pertains to Jason. If you think this is bad, you should have seen her when Sam was pissed and told her Jason was the father of Elizabeth’s baby.

You need a strong actress to fill in the void in someone like Jason, who generally has about two speeds. Steve can do more but rarely cares to. Most of Jason's romantic partners have been strong enough to do that. For me, it's been less of an issue this go-round because Steve has been overall engaged, willing to work in scenes with the family, and his focus has been there because they've lacked any other coherent story for him lol. (The fumbling attempts at another disastrous round of Jason/Carly, likely a Korte pet project, ended with Mulcahey's brief reign - I suspect it was a preexisting brief he was given since Korte pushed it last time, and it would not surprise me if PM came in thinking he could remake the magic he created in the Steve/Sarah years happen again and then found there was nothing there with Steve and Laura.)

KT isn't strong enough, but I've never liked Britt or the show's flopsweat attempts to reverse engineer this heterosexual paper-thin soap bitch into a 'gay icon' on a show often lacking major LGBT representation. Just on the page, Britt came in as nothing more than a two-dimensional foil for Sabrina (created on the same day) and she's rarely had enough to sustain her since. Occasionally one of Britt's jokes lands for me, but KT's offscreen antics, her weakness re: any real drama or depth onscreen and the disgusting way they've handled the Rocco stuff put me off even more. And I suspect they're alienating a lot of the larger general audience they want to feel for her with that story angle too - it has not played well online. So I just don't think it will last.

IMO, outside her her one note days as a foil to Sabrina, I did not find Britt interesting, and was surprised she lasted THAT long. With the unexpected Jason pairing it make the Britt interesting again.

And again, it was refreshing to see Jason with not Sam or Elizabeth. I could have accepted the Carly marriage plot had it been written better.

Realistically both Steve AND Mo look good for their ages compared to most people in the world.

Steve yes. His weight loss since the late 2010's is good. Maurice eeeh.

I'm not a couple shipper by any means, but when I was watching during Mulcahey's all too brief stint, I though Jason and Elizabeth still had tons of chemistry, and if it was up to me, I would have put them together, and then brought Lucky back and dealt with all the drama and complications that could unfold both within the triangle and the children. But that's all moot now.

He's always been attractive to me, but they have improved his look overall.

Pretty sure it's a mutual admiration society. Stephen is a fan of the show and FV enjoys having him, and it's a high-profile guest to have on.

Fan or not, I still wouldn't use him again. I enjoy the Stephen Smith clips and memes online but it's ludicrous to have such a major meme-heavy celeb regularly recur in active story playing some enforcer in story we're supposed to take seriously, lol.

That said...yes, Chris has been looking much, much, MUUUUch better as Brennan as of late, and that has been noticed.

Moot but still a great point and a plot (along with Ric dropping) that wrote itself during that time. And then add on what appeared to be a Sins of the Father storyline with the kids, but alas.

Britt gets points for saying Rocco is a stupid name.   Agreed.  Sorry to any Rocco's out there

Nina gets all the points for reading Willow the truth.  CW was excellent

Yay for Outback being found by Cody, but, seriously, can Emma and Gio just kiss at this point?
