Characters can get their comeuppance in different ways and Eva is sort of getting hers. She helped Leslie plot against Ted and Nicole, now she has her own moment of embarrassment and shame (not public though like she arranged for Ted and Nicole though).

Kat is absolutely ridiculous wanting to hold on to Tomas because she doesn't want Eva to win. Neither one of them is going to win with him because he is a loser.

Nicole being out in public kissing Carlton is why her indignation falls so flat. Your ex's business partner and friend should not even be on the table for dating. And Carlton is shitty too.

I've always been Team Eva all the way but I did feel bad for Kat today. Give me Silk Press and Eva vs Kat everyday and I'll be good. Tomas sucks.

Yeah, I totally forgot to mention TMG. She goes without saying IMO.

I just find Vanessa's arc one of the most textured and intelligently nuanced on the canvas, however sleazy. Yes, she's doing horrible things but you understand her POV. It also has a lot less of the expository B&B/Bell school of dialogue attached to it, which makes me suspect it was/is a Guza thing. Her reasons came out in character and in her defining herself to people like Nicole. The fact that LB sells it to the hilt, and has elevated Lindstrom IMO in doing so who is a little uncomfortable playing a crime boss but has gotten considerably better to me, contributes a ton. I wish most of the other characters had the same messy nuances - some are approaching it. And ITA about most of the non-Bill men, though I think Martin and Smitty are in decent shape. I actually think the Ted/June Nixon-esque flirtation might open that character up. Black Agnes would be proud!

It's never made sense to me that they haven't given Nicole/Dani a point of view about Vanessa's constant cheating. After what both women have been through, it makes their friendship with her feel false. Why don't they hold any grievances whatsoever with her about her infidelity?

While I enjoyed the Eva/Tomas/Kat scenes and thought they were the highlight of today, I do wish they hadn't rushed another storyline that has such huge potential. I would've really liked to have seen Eva and Kat start to build a relationship as sisters, all the while Eva was secretly sleeping with Tomas behind Kat's back.

Let the secret burn for a little while. Let Eva start to feel guilty, let Tomas realize he still has feelings for Kat, etc., and then blow it all to hell for all of them. It could've even had an effect on the whole Ted/Leslie situation.

Btw, Tomas is an a**hole 😂😂

What I also liked about today was Martin standing up for himself. Smitty was getting ready to pull the same number of using him for sex again, but he shut him down.

Was Eva wrong to go for Tomas?  Yes

Was it satisfying seeing Eva verbally hand Kat some hard truths?  Yes, because Kat is a stuck up entitled individual that needs to do a lot of growing up before she can have a relationship.

In regards to Smitty and Martin....let's not forget that Martin is also an entitled stuck up individual.. and I was happy when Smitty hit it and quick it a few weeks ago.

Naomi and Jacob are so cute together.

Nicole and Carlton might be putting on a show for Ted, but I think there's something brewing between them.

Today was a perfect example and I wonder what the next twist/milestone will be in this story.

The girls playing Eva & Kat are just acting their asses off, and that poor guy playing Tomas stands there looking like he's wondering if he can beat rush hour traffic on I-85 when he leaves the studio, or if she go around by I-285.  Bless his heart.

Eva vs Kat is where it at. 🔥  

Martin/Smitty scenes was also good stuff, it’s so great to see a gay couple get such honest and complex writing. 

So far this has been a very good start to the week, with very little focus on Ashley/Derek.

Well, if Eva/Kat/Tomas = Modern day Steve/Alice/Rachel, then 9-months from today -- we get Jamie.  And I wouldn't mind that.  An old-fashioned slow-burning love triangle hasn't been done on an American soap for decades. Back in the 1970s, that type of triangle totally drove the ratings on several soaps.  I'm here for it.   

If we factor in sisters fighting over a guy, Kat/Eva would be comparable to early Olivia/Dru. Olivia/Kat a little bougie, Dru/Eva a little hood. In terms of their rivalry, we could also compare them to Caroline/Brooke. Caroline/Kat upper class prized virgin heroine, Brooke/Eva working class strivers.
