Of course it is. It's the A plot for that trio. The real question is...are they really going to wait and abruptly do it during November Sweeps or actually develop it with it exploding in that plot in October or...November Sweeps.

I wasn't a regular Days fan at that time and so heard about it. It's such a crazy 'you had to be there' moment. Totally understand though.

She was so bad she was good. Gave off VERY inappropriate sexual vibes with Drake Hogestyn (her on-screen father, R.I.P.). If you read her brief tenure as sort of a Christopher Guest absurdist comedy, she deserved an Oscar. The powers-that-be are pretty good about deleting any clips of her that pop up (not linking any of them for that reason), but you’re in for a treat if you can find them.

(Lauren Buglioli actually has a similar vocal tone to her, but she’s talented.)

Alex Alegria doesn’t come close to that level of entertainment value.

To me the beat that’s not being played is Martin being aware of Andre’s playboyish ways and that being one of the reasons, along with being jealous of Ted treating him more like his natural son then he does Martin, that he has no use for his cousin. Yet the problem is we barely see the three in the same room together.

This show really needs to have more in-fighting within the Duprees  in the same veign as the Abbott’s/Newmans and Forresters do.

date: Friday, September 19, 2025 | Ron Carlivati, Judy Tate | Phideaux Xavier

  • Bill looks a bit perturbed and dumbfounded at how chummy/close Joey and Vanessa are. But Vanessa is playing the role well. She loves this.
  • Dana is continuing to play in the faces of the Duprees, and it is becoming off-putting. Find a new beat to play.
  • Dani needs to lay off the alcohol and hope there are no guns around.
  • I am going to need Eva to smack (literally) some sense into Dana: Ted does not want her, has never wanted her, and will never want her. She needs to move along.
  • Of course Bill would sell out Douglas and flat-out tell Joey what he wanted. C'mon, Bill.
  • Both Douglas and Randy absolutely suck at the meaning of 'hush-hush', especially Randy, who is meant to be keeping a low profile.
  • TELL IT, EVA! TELL HER THE TRUTH! This is what this delusional whackjob needs to hear.
  • I hate when people use their cell phones in dining areas, too. You are around people and with your own company. Have a conversation and be present, or stay home.
  • A flashback montage of Andre and Dani already?! This is too much for a couple that has no longevity.
  • Eva is playing both sides of the fence, and she better be careful, because one slip and it could end poorly for her.
  • "Go screw yourself," go Miss Anita! Tell her where to go do that, too! And she is ready to take her earrings off? Oh, Miss Anita will not be played by Dana and her games. I love seeing this side of Anita Williams.
  • Vanessa is putting up a mirror for Nicole, and it is something she needs to have in her life.
  • I appreciate hearing more about Barbara's beginnings, despite it being for Dana's benefit. But this is a nice moment for a moment.
  • Uh oh, we are about to get a Nicole versus Ted moment, and this is going to be good.
  • Ah, another mention of the University! Hoping we get to see it soon.
  • Not her having some Cinemax-level sex dreams on her couch. Damn.
  • Poor Nicole is heartbroken. This is so unfortunate. So, so unfortunate.

Notes:

  • I could tell the 'writer' was today's breakdown writer with how fast-paced the first scenes were. Main titles within two minutes of the episode starting is insane. Thank goodness their scripts will be done at some point.
  • I am sorry, but this hairstyle of Ambyr Michelle (Eva) is not working for me. I hope it is temporary, and her O.G. hairstyle returns. That was her best.
  • I have said it before, and I am saying it again: the food at Orphey Gene's looks absolutely delicious, home-cooked, and fresher than fresh. I would like some immediately.
  • As good as Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana) is at playing it up camp, I do love how subtle she can play the scripts, like in those scenes with Tamara Tunie (Anita).

Yeah this week was pretty slow

The previews didn't get me excited either - looks heavy on Vanessa/Joey.

I'm glad the secret about Ted sleeping with Leslie again came out quickly so Nicole can react and move forward.

I'll be honest... the show is starting to reeeeeally be a struggle for me to watch. I'm not excited what so ever... like I used to be.  Maybe it's the fact that I'm too deep into classic 1992 OLTL... that really damages my perception. I guess If I was only watching trash like Bold... I would find BTG... a lot better. I think MVJ may need a bit of detox from Bradley Bell's disgusting patterns and traits she picked up when she worked there. She showed us she is capable of better material... and quite honestly, the first episodes written by her... were amazing.

    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.
