At all. But darn it if the audience isn't going back and forth between the two men on being her father though. I like the engagement going on vs everyone just complaining about a show (though I am loving some of shade on specific shows re: Y&R cuz that show is currently a hot mess).

If Vernon had known what was transpiring downstairs, he'd have probably told good ole Banneker U that zoom call would just have to wait a while.

I was glad June said the 5 Dreadful Words to Naomi today.  ("This is all your fault!")  I'm crazy about Naomi, but yep, somewhere between 95% & 100% of June's broken heart was Naomi's fault.  That was some good material for all of them today, IMHO.

Really liked the scene when Smitty said, "Don't look at me all starry-eyed." And Martin grinned and said, "Was I?!"  lol

I think I’m done with BTG for a while bc the June/Samantha/Tyrell stuff is pissing me right tf off. The lion’s share of characters in this show are bad people, dumb af, or both. Y’all enjoy!

Considering how dramatic Leslie is, I dont lik that she went to Anita's house to tell her. Id rather there be a reveal. Like the conversation with Vernon about wishing she had invited Barbara's family to the concert lead to her arranging for her to arrange a special dinner party to honor he and invite them. First she'd see Peaches and would be confused but the gag for her and the rest of the Duprees is when Leslie and Eva make their entrance with all hell breaking loose

I'll say this much...Anita vs Silk Press Sheila Round 2 (hard to believe they haven't had another showdown since post-anniversary back in May)...is GIVING.

As did I.

IKR!!! Anita definitely gathered her in Round 1. But Round 2 is going to SilkPress. See? This is how she should be, still cracking wise, but there's grit in her inflections and edge to her that brings back that cunning woman we saw in the first few weeks. And I am living for it. Cuz she's an even match for Anita.

Yeah, Chicago almost slipped out.

Ok, I thought I was the only one after reading so much support for the June stuff today. I am not into it at all.

However, there are other things keeping me watching.

I think it's funny that June wants to better her life NOW. Who suggested that June should have done that first here on the board before this reveal happened?

I can’t get past the 3-day June reveal and now the 3-day Leslie/Barbara reveal. I don’t ever wanna see anybody claim that “it’s nice to finally have a soap play out all the beats of a story again!” Bullsht!

-- The Anita/Leslie scenes were good. More fireworks coming.

-- I've criticized Anita plenty, but I will never be OK with someone who blames a suicide on another human. I know that's Leslie's nature to do that, but it makes her reprehensible. Anita made mistakes. She is not responsible for Barbara's suicide.

-- The June arc doesn't work for me. It's all happening too quickly.

-- June had at least 3 personalities on today's show. She was calm and hopeful in the first scenes, followed by a complete personality change when she lost her mind and went back to the streets. When she went to see Samantha and Tyrell, she was motherly and sooooo filled with wisdom. Now she's ready to leave the bridge underpass and get a job. GMAB.

== At least June's manicure is still perfect for job interviews.

-- Sending Samantha and Tyrell off the show with June would be a disastrous storyline decision. In what world will June EVER be able to offer what they can get from Smitty and Martin?

-- June being a part of the kids' lives shouldn't be any kind of problem at all. They aren't 5 years old. They don't need someone to take them to school and pick them up or to run them to activities. They don't need to stay with June in some custody arrangement.

-- Please give Naomi something to do besides play fairy godmother to June. People here say Jacob is annoying, but Naomi bothers me 10x more than he does.

I disagree that Anita doesn't hold some responsibility. Taking a friend's idea and then throwing them overboard without a second thought was a terrible thing to do. Anita has somewhat accepted that she had a place in Barbara committing suicide.

It depends on the circumstances, but a person can definitely be responsible for driving someone to suicide (four police officers committed suicide post January 6th and there is no doubt what triggered it).
