Slower day, but not bad. I thought Tomas was at his personal best today, flirting with Kat at Uptown.

Hayley is pregnant!  Oh boy...

Samantha felt more like the babysitter today vs. the young sister.

I'm ready to meet Sharon. I want a strong dynamic so it's not a repeat of what we just saw with Tracy's reunion.

Ugh. I genuinely hope not; I pray, somehow, CHCH-DT is told to provide a one-day pause. The last thing we need is a Y&R situation with this soap.

I'm pretty sure Samantha is the older twin.

30 minutes in and...is there any Tracy that I dislike? lol. Cuz I love Traci on Y&R, Tracy on GH, and now Tracy on this show. She is reading the heck out of Anita so far. And sorry...Anita is not keeping up (though I am loving TT's performance). This is what I was expecting from Silk Press Sheila, but nope. But this comes of someone that truly knows someone. Loving it.

But I liking all the conversations so far today. Smitty and Martin especially. A gay couple having it out. And knowing that due to the development in Month 2 and the actors getting comfortable with their roles, I feel invested.

Not Kat pulling a Blair again on Chelesa. lol.

Same. I can avoid major spoilers for a day.

*eyeroll* on Hayley.

While I feel like he has more chemistry with Eva, the actor playing Tomas is slooooowly improving.

Le sigh Smitty. That said...we know I'm loving the near-misses around Martin's secret. And happy it is getting attention again the last week of May Sweeps.

I like the slow burn romance building between Tomas and Kat, and I also liked the homework scene with Tyrrell and his lady friend (Phil & Tara on AMC had a study date talking math as they made eyes at one another).

What I most liked about this episode was that we had longer scenes today between Anita/Tracy, Chelsea/Kat, and Tomas/Kat mixed with shorter scenes.   I wonder if the breakdown writer, or script writer, determines the length of each scene.

I also have a feeling Chelsea's going to run to Dani after learning about Hayley's possible bun in the oven... and that horrid heffer (Dani) will stick her nose where it doesn't belong.

That said, I liked the spark of spunk from Hayley at the end.  If she were smart, she'd pay the country club crowd no attention and focus on making friends with others outside the gate.

Well...I'm glad Tomas and Kat put it out there on the table.

Ooooo awww at this Anita/Vernon scene.

Yeah, I loved Vernon's talk to Anita.

But yep...a nice day, but a slow day.

I was saying that they may not bury gays like other shows, but we never see them kissing or making love in a way that rivals the straight couples on the show. And, it hurts because the opinion of "Helen, the 75-year-old evangelical from Alabama" matters, but our strong gay fanbase doesn't seem to matter to the PTB as much. Probably because they know we will watch no matter what. It feels like P&G is still reacting in its 2000s Nuke and Otalia mode.

This is Hayley's second mention of pregnancy in about as many months and it seems like she is trying to get pregnant to fully secure Bill. Her little weak read toward Chelsea was so off the mark because neither Chelsea or Naomi want Dani back with BIll, especially after the revelations of how he threatened Leslie.

Anita and Tracy's talk ended up being productive after all. It seemed like she was just going to be Tracy out, but the idea of Tracy being the middle man to talk to Sharon is a great move. The constant mention of Dante Green makes me think he will show up at some point (Clifton Powell, Nathan Purdee, Darnell Williams are my list of preferred picks).

Today's show was completely meh to me.

-- I'm frustrated with the Articulettes story. I know it's early, but we've had countless conversations between Anita and Tracy, and we've learned nothing specific about what happened.

Yes, Sharon is "the angry one," but why would Anita agree to go on tour and talk to Sharon without even discussing those past problems with Anita? It makes no sense.

-- We're supposed to feel bad for Chelsea and her unrequited love, but I still think it's a problem that no one's mentioning that she wanted to break up a marriage.

She spoke today about the "3-way relationship," but we never saw her invested in the guy in any way, shape, or form. She wanted the woman. She needs to get with someone who isn't damn married or in a relationship.

-- Another Hayley pregnancy? Already? I'm not crazy about the timing on this. Honestly, I wanted fireworks with the Hayley character and not watching her walk around with a big belly and then a stroller.

-- Tomas is still painfully awkward, although I do like looking at him and I love his voice. I also think it's strange that he and Kat are having conversations that every other couple would have on their first or second meeting.

Haven't these two been seeing each other for a couple months? It's as if they know nothing about each other.

-- I still dislike almost every fade to commercial, and it takes away from the scene we just saw. It's like putting a comma at the end of a sentence instead of a period -- these fades do not make a statement. It's clearly intentional, but I will never get on board with whatever it is they're doing.

    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton practically twirling his moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?

    • Thanks for asking that!  Back when we had another major event upcoming (a party or the concert), I had intended to ask what everyone here was planning to wear.

    • Lol. Right?  I mean the show could have framed the 60th anniversary in a different way, but the narrative was celebrating Tom and the hospital. Also, what a weirdly sexist bunch of posts about women's nail polish.  Like, yes, this is Days problem lol.  Stacy Haiduk isn't a good Kristen because she doesn't wear nail polish?  Are we in the 1950's???
