It was quite interesting. Drew is seriously grossing me out. I know they'll never get rid of CM, but this brewing up to a good murder mystery.

Well life is full of surprises. And it's not the first time over the last few years the 'murder mystery' target has moved off a GH character. So...we'll see. :)

May 19, 2025 Fairman interviews Lynn Herring about the Nurses Ball.
Excellent interview and no GH spoilers.

CAUTION There is a minor DAYS spoiler from 12:15 to 14:15,
so if you are Days spoiler-free, then skip those two minutes.

Thus intentionally posting the link instead of embedding the youtube..

This show can be so frustrating to watch because of the awful one sided writing.

Very.

It’s been awhile since I’ve seen a good soap cat fight so this was highly satisfying.

Loved the Drew/Curtis scenes. Drew may not end up murdered but someone is going to try and kill him and it feels like it’s going to be much sooner than later.

Who thought Dante ranting and raving for weeks on end would be good writing just to create angst between him and Gio. I really don’t think you needed to make Dante this fuc.king annoying.

I had to stop watching early last week because I could not tolerate another interminable scene of Genie Francis valiantly attempting to keep pace opposite a disillusioned and confused Maurice Benard. Nevermind that the scenes largely consisted of Laura kissing the ring for some godforsaken reason, how is his performance acceptable? He’s painful to watch.

High praise.

Another time when some fans have an idea that the show is very unlikely to share. LOL! Exception for last year when they *almost* did off Ava. But, then, does almost count? This version of Love2Hate Drew is not going anywhere. Since Frank is not going to authorize a murder or killing there can't be a mystery whodunnit because it's not getting dun. 😉🙃😇

Edit to add: IMO, of course. I'm much more interested in whether we are getting Dark Michael?

And you know I make it very clear what works and doesn’t work for me 😀

Really enjoyed today's episode the whole way through. Having Drew and Nina as red carpet hosts was a brilliant move. You could really see Cameron Mathison channeling his own experiences as a TV host for shows like Entertainment Tonight, but putting a more sinister spin on the host's glib patter. And Cynthia Watros gave some amazing reaction shots during Drew's interactions with people like Carly, Joss, and Willow.

I also really liked the Alexis/Kristina scenes. I know a lot of us find Kristina exasperating, and she is, but Kate Mansi and Nancy Lee Grahn do a great job of portraying a very real dysfunctional mother/daughter dynamic.

As much as I love the Nurses Ball, the campiness of it all always comes off as strange and a little cringey, because GH isn't often like that.

But whatevs, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

The surprise with Kai was kinda sweet. I wish they had spent more time on that, and given us more of Trina's POV, instead of rushing through it and talking more about his surgery.

But yeah, poor Gio. He really should've escorted Emma instead of Joss 🤮 I'm looking forward to seeing him perform though

And, poor Tracy too. She will never be the bad guy in this whole situation with Sonny, Drew, etc., no matter how Chris and Elizabeth (or Frank) choose to write it.

Btw, since this is the Nurses Ball, where the hell is Nurse Liz? 😂😂

-- Weirdest red carpet ever at the Nurses' Ball. Every conversation was filled with snark and shade or outright insults, and we even got an on-camera arrest of Tracy -- while Congressman Drew (who's never in DC) stood there. I guess it was more interesting than the usual.

-- Why did Gio walk the carpet with Joss?

-- Sonny is usually escaping mobsters who want to kill him. So of course he accompanies his granddaughter on the carpet. On camera.
