  • Dani, from my point of view, is definitely battling some kind of bipolar or emotional turmoil. And neither is negative. But she's going from a high of anger/rage to the low of breaking down. Loving the mama bear vibe that Anita gives off, though!
  • The chemistry between Vernon & Martin is interesting; it'll be cool to see how it develops over time.
  • So, Dani has an in-home office with her assistant(s)? I love it. That's lux.
  • The dialogue is very strong and unique. There is a clear point of view right now, and I like it.
  • The "D" on the glasses in the Dupree home?! That is class personified.
  • Yes, mama bear Anita is the matriarch and her presence is powerful!
  • Hayley, baby, I can already tell you: you're barking up the wrong damn tree... Nicole is about to lash you out. I feel it.
  • The scene between the two women that work for Nicole was interesting. Some anvils concerning them dropping already?!
  • The use of musical cues is nice; they support the scene. They don't overpower like some other soaps that use them to drive their scenes' drama.
  • So, no one in the Dupree family liked Bill? Ain't that some tea?
  • Dani drinking... either a drinking problem could occur, or possibly a multiple personality?! I'm sensing some potential D.I.D. anvils being dropped once she swallowed that shot.
  • Bill plays dirty. He really does. THE BLACKMAIL OF IT ALL!
  • Martin & Smitty are cute, but there is a clear disconnect between them. And they kept nearly kissing, and it didn't happen. Something's going on here.
  • Oh, so something concerning Martin is what Bill has hidden?! Oh. I wonder what it could be....... this is going to be JUICY!!

I don't like that they gave the gay couple teenage kids. That unnecessarily ages them when they look about 30 at best. Like how long they been together?

Same

They adopted the kids though. They didn’t say what age they were when that happened. Just that they were “kids.” That could be 9 or 10 years old.

I thought he said one of them was 16?

GOD, I wish I was at home watching live, but thank god for Mardi Gras break all next week #louisianababy

I'm already looking forward to watching when I get home, but reading all the comments is a tease. Dani looking into that mirror...okay, Danit from Another Planit, I see you.

I didn't realize Martin and Smitty's kids would be teenagers. Unless they serve a very important purpose in a story relatively soon, they easily could have just been children, which the show is eerily lacking. But there have been enough soaps that have gone kid crazy over the last 20 years that one having none is definitely a welcome change, however strange. I just don't like how it ages our main characters. Also, why on god's green Earth are we calling this fine ssa man "Smitty."

Legit haven't felt this excited to get home and watch a soap in about 15 years.

Yeah, Martin and Smitty's adopted kids are 16 (girl) and 17 (boy). I forgot their names. I wonder if they've cast them. I don't recall seeing kids that old on any casting lists.

Smitty is a popular nickname for Black people so I'm assuming they probably were initially casting for a Black actor. They definitely should've changed the name when they went with Mike Manning. It just doesn't work with him in the role. His original name of Bradley or Brad would've been better.

They have:

Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) and Samantha (Najah Jackson) are Martin and Smitty's adopted children.

But “so young” is subjective. It has yet to be explicitly stated how old they were when they were adopted. When you have kids, 9 years old to 16 is a huge leap.

I think I liked this episode much better than the first. Revelations was the key word.

Ashley is friends with the dynamically dangerous duo.

Andre once pursued Ashley in the past but lost his pursuit to Derek. Then he's taking secret snapshots of her. Oh Andre baby, what are you up to?

Andre's late father was Ted's brother.

THE LOOK: Why was "Leslie" eying Ted like that when he came off the elevator?

Dani has got to get it together before she ends up committed.

I liked Ashley's mom. Very wholesome character.

Dr. Ted is one classy well-dressed dude. Looks like he smells like the best men's cologne. 😆

Just a hug and no kiss Martin and Smitty? OK.
