while I agree to an extent, this is better than the last few years before the Mulcahey/Korte reset. It felt like most of the stories hinged on recurring people, or were mostly about them, and not the contract cast. At least right now the contract cast is driving story and appearance rates. That’s what was pissing me off- you have these people you locked down, who truly do cost significantly, and you are not using them as much to drive the stories as the recurring folks.

And I do wonder if the actual soap talents are paid a recurring fee above just the day rate? Not enough to hit the budget, but certainly more than the random doctors and nurses they use often.

I’m not familiar with Nina and Lulu’s history but I loved them going at it today lol. Nina couldn’t care less about the coma and let her know ASAP

Lulu hanging up on Erica Kane was a nice wink wink nod nod as well.

I loved the Carly and Brennan confrontation, he looked legitimately hurt by her betrayal which seemed to actually shake her. I loved Carly coming to retrieve Lulu and their reunion scenes were kind of awkward but the last shot with them about to interrogate Brennan was I didn’t think there was any Carly propping here and I also see certain fans are still trying to push the “Carly and Lulu weren’t close” outrage but the show has gone out of its way to address that at this point. Seems like folks are complaining just to complain now.

Sasha and Maxie scenes were nice. I loved the family support and the tension when Willow interrupted leading to Maxie ranting about how Elizabeth blamed her for everything that went down with Lucky and the summer of sleaze was funny. Give me my Luxie reunion mane!

Felicia taking Maxie’s kids Christmas tree shopping leading to a random frat bro fight that ends with Dex getting stabbed was good stuff, I was entertained lol. Loved Felicia playing detective here and it was clearly Cyrus running amok again.

Curtis setting a trap for Drew is the most interesting he’s ever been since I’ve seen him. Drew clearly views him as a simp lackey because he’s not even trying to placate him for real. Drew deserves whatever he gets.

LOL at Willow wanting to tell Michael about the affair after Christmas. Boy does she have a storm coming

I’m over Brad stalking Lucas. Portia had it right with him, kind of wish he was the one who filled Sam’s bag with digitalis instead so he’d be off my screen soon. Just not a fan of the actor, character, or his little antics.

Trina is annoyed Kai actually did his half of the project and did it well…yeah okay she’s grating on my nerves too at this point.

-- It's very cool that Dex's hair remained perfectly styled while he was at GH as a "stabbing victim."

-- That whole teenage brawl was embarrassingly written. Was it worth all that to make us consider that one of those boys stabbed Dex?

-- I had to LOL that the police didn't clear that entire area after the stabbing -- while the same 5 people continued to stare at a few Xmas trees for no apparent reason.

The writing for Trina continues to be bad. She does one 180 after another regarding Kai, and TA isn't helping matters with her inauthentic performance.
