The Kelly Monaco brigade can't do anything to anyone. That being said, while I'm happy they'll be dealing with Liz I know this appearance will be all about Heather.

Reeves did a fine job in a support role for a few years but I'd still rather they recast if they want to bring Steve back long-term.

Steven Lars is a legacy character, but I would have gone in a new direction. After all these years, a fresh face in the role is overdue. They could give a test run and bring him back if the storyline warrants it and he works in the role.

Scott and Missy live in Nashville. Both shows should just go with full time recasts.

Re-focusing the show around Elizabeth and Laura's families is a strong move (Isaiah being Tommy Hardy instead of #firefrank's One Life to Live fanfic fantasies notwithstanding...). Now we need strong Spencer and Cam recasts.

I wouldn't even say he was any good with Tricia and Heather. I thought he dragged Nina down quite a bit.

I wonder if he is still friends with Steve (weren't they friends?) and that's why he got a call. He never brought anything to the part, was too old for it, and I don't remember him having any fans.

I guess this is Frank's way of telling us they will not bother bringing Steven Lars back permanently with a new actor...making Heather's presence on the show even more pointless. But CVE loves her, so who cares.

Bringing Cam back would interfere with Dex, someone the show still clings to.

I don't think Spencer will be recast until Trina is gone, so probably sometime next year.

I would have cut Dex and sent Joss for a visit with Jax. Putting tha horrible actress that plays Molly into the mix just makes me fast forward even more. Cam could easily be mixed into a relationship with a recurring nursing student that is constantly driving Elizabeth crazy (I would cast a young Latina or Asian actress).

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
