Those ladies are smart to launch a rewatch podcast.  To a generation of viewers, MP is like visual comfort food, so they'll likely eat that stuff up.  (I should know: I, myself, can't get enough of "Murder, She Wrote" reruns on PlutoTV and wish certain cast members were still alive to do a podcast of that show, lol).

Absolutely. I would DIE for a MSW podcast.

I'm on the fence about these re-watch podcasts.  I think that I prefer a fan perspective, as the actors sometimes provide a skewed analysis.  There's rarely much BTS gossip that hasn't already been revealed elsewhere, or not revealed because it wasn't very interesting.  And it always smacks of a cash grab.

I think most people go into rewatch podcasts not looking for juicy gossip but just for the enjoyment of listening to cast members enthusiastically discuss their shows on mostly their own terms, with some fun tidbits along the way. I've been listening to Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti's Laguna Beach podcast, and it's light and fun.

I saw a clip of an interview with Daphne, Laura, and Courtney, and they all seem to be taking this whole thing for the fun blast from the past that it is. The 2009 series wasn't that at all, you can tell that there's a lot less pressure this time around.

I listened and Daphne especially has some interesting tales because she was friends with Darren Star while he was developing the series.  I can't tell if they're acting or if they just never spoke to each other during filming because they all seem to be hearing each other's origin stories for the first time.  For example, Daphne says that she was living with Darren (platonically, obviously), and Laura seems genuinely surprised to hear that information.  However, I was left wondering why they had never discussed this before.  But, I guess, that's part of the reason they started a podcast.

That's quite amazing that pretty much everyone's agreed to do it. I think this has the potential to be something really good.

I wonder just who "everybody" is. Would this include Vanessa Williams? What about Doug Savant given that Matt died? (then again Sydney died twice...)

I still hope they keep in mind that it's not 1994 anymore and that having those characters behave as they did 30+ years ago will look foolish and sad and actually ruin viewers' memories of the original show.

Exactly. The main cast members are all in their mid-50s to mid-60s now.

They are back!

I am so happy to see this.

 Heather looks so healthy!

I'll take the show back in any capacity. The fact that the OG castmembers are behind the creation of this "reboot" gives me more faith in a good finished product versus the messy clusterfunk that was the 2009 debacle.

Exciting! I mean, Jo looking for her baby/reuniting with him, only for him to be caught in Amanda's clutches is a story that writes itself. lol

I am still far from convinced this is anything but a pipe dream of the cast's.
