Absolutely! Nikki was kind of side eying Claire very briefly when they wanted her to move in, but she got over it in a flash. She should be terrified being in the same house as her.

I don't even think Summer is saying Claire can't be part of the family, she literally just doesn't want her to be Harrison's nanny which is completely rational.

100% to all of this!

The way Claire told Summer “she was better” wasn’t that person anymore reminded me of the days when Kevin was shoved down all throats and we were constantly reminded that he was a “good redeemed” person, not accountable for his past behavior

The less we speak of that man child, the better!

 lol

Im kind of wondering with Victor accepting Claire so quickly, maybe it’s less to do with how she was manipulated by Jordan and more so how maybe he sees himself in her?  Basically someone who goes to all the extremes to get what they want, though it hurts others. And someone who’s had a rotten upbringing such as Victor had? I don’t think JG is clever enough to go there without having to acknowledge everything Victor has done over the years, but that’s basically my theory?

Not to mention, it is a bit tacky to the 2-3 other people that they both have been married to in the last 40 years; like Sabrina and Dr. Lassiter.  And yet, any opportunity to see Nikki's humungous dress again is always appreciated.

“2-3 people…”

LOL a look at all their marriages, with some having dubious legality,  in the last 40 years:

Nikki: Victor 1984-88, Jack 1990-93, Josh Landers 1996-98, Victor 1998,  Victor 2002-08, David Chow 2008, Deacon 2012, Jack 2012, Victor 2013-present

She also almost married Brad in 1996 and Paul in 2009

Victor: Nikki 1984-88, Leanna 1988-89, Ashley 1990-92, Hope 1994-1995/96ish, Diane 1997-98, Nikki 1998, Nikki 2002-08, Sabrina 2008, Ashley 2009, Diane 2011, Sharon x2 in 2012, and Nikki 2013-present

Victor almost sort of married Meggie McClain in 2010

Did I miss any?

Despite the campiness of the three Ashleys ED continues to kill it along with the rest of the cast with the intervention of Ashley.

Abbott drama > Newman drama

BTW where is Abby in all of this?

Aww Audra in love I like how despite telling Sally she feels like she’s losing control, she’s actually completely in control still lol. And unlike that 1:30PM soap, I like how Audra isn’t being shamed for turning down Tucker’s proposal.

Meant to comment on some of yesterday’s stuff…Summer still isn’t wrong about her distrust of Claire. I liked Cole & Victoria revisited the Neil history but shame we can’t have flashbacks, but the kiss was a nice touch. Lily vs Daniel/Heather could be interesting if JG wasn’t writing it.

Glad to hear this!

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
