Thank you. I'm such a sucker for writer interviews.

That said...I have such mixed feelings about them coming back.

I've been playing catchup and I've been loving the writer strike episodes. It had more flow to me. And I felt there were stories going on. And some dead weight (*cough*Austin*cough*). And stories either ended...with progress and ascending action at that (Gladys gaslighting Sasha, Drew in jail, Eddie Maine, surprisingly Emse/Spencer clashing)...or they progressed with turns (who's stalking Anna, Eddie Maine which has turned into Ned's back/Tick tock Nina, Sprina PERIOD, Joss/Adam, Cyrus's endgame, Ava/Austin, Lois's return...and I don't want her to go).

Which let me get this off my chest now...if the reason Sprina has finally progressed more quickly has been because of the strike writing, then yes, I do dread Dan and Chris back. Because Sprina finally coming together and dealing with things as a couple has been everything to me. And it seems like Trina FINALLY got through to Spencer about Ace cuz that was such an unrealistic way to cause drama for them when there were other ways to cause drama...which the strike writers seem to get. Dan and Chris...hmmm...not so much. And it sounds like they are going to use Ace again for drama. So ugh.

When Dan and Chris are good and allowed to build to a climax...they are good. But when strings appear to be pulled in their writing or stalling occurs, they can be either torturous or shockingly slow now. So I don't want to go back to that.

Well...fingers crossed.

"Tues. Dec. 26: Nina seeks absolution."
Nina goes to confession at church.   Cyrus is in the priest's booth on the other side of the anonymous window, so she doesn't know it's him she's about to confess to.
They started to show this at end of Friday. Dec. 22.
Don't know if he will reveal to her that he's the "priest" or not.

I don't know what this is about:
"Fri. Dec. 29: Cyrus makes a confession to Nina."

This is the last 6 minutes or so of Friday 22 December.
In between the Christmas scenes, there is Esme remembering,
and Nina arriving at the confessional with Cyrus grinning.

This tweet is the last *two* minutes of Friday 22 December,
plus a preview of scenes from Tuesday 26 December.
The preview shows Cyrus and the real priest interacting.

    • Yeah, something is not right here. I will continue to have doubts about Leslie being Eva's mother for the time being. Until at least the writing/behavior of her character changes. She is acting way too cold/uncaring/hateful to be her mother. I know as soap fans, we seen our share or rough around the edges, bad acting mothers. But even some of the roughest of soap mothers have acted like they love their children. Even if they don't always make the best decisions regarding them. Or are often at odds with them. Leslie has not shown anything for me to show that she even cares about Eva, even a little. It's all about what Leslie/wants needs and what Eva can do for her. As soon as she felt like Eva no longer served a purpose for her she threw her away. I am interested in seeing what happens with Leslie going forward. She really doesn't have anyone on her side. Eva at least now has Ted and Tomas to a lesser degree.
    • I'm looking forward to seeing the first 18 minutes or so that we missed earlier this episode. But I loved what I saw today: I thought that what I saw of Bill's/Ted's interaction was realistic and interesting. I know we have hardly seen them interact, but I think that they have nice chemistry together. And Iiked the dialogue that they had about their roles/mistakes in this whole paternity reveal/hurting Nicole. I would like to see them interact more together in the future. I also enjoyed Dani being there for Nicole and giving her good advice. I did lol when Dani said she wanted to take off her earrings and be left alone with Leslie, Eva, Bill and Ted... I like Nicole as always acting mature and measured and trying to process what has happened to her along with support from her sister. I like that her family supported her and gave her space (including her parents) and then she went to them when she was ready. I enjoyed her scenes with her parents at the end. Speaking of parents, Leslie continues to act like this. Her behavior towards Eva is trash and she literally threw the picture of them together at the end in the trash. She really doesn't deserve Eva, and I continue to wonder if she really is her mother. She is just too cold towards her and sees her as a means to an end. I really wonder if she thought that Ted was going to help Eva. Or if she was hoping that he would turn her away as well. I'm glad he helped her and wants to try and have a relationship with her. It will cause conflict with the rest of the family, but it's the right thing for him to do, IMO.
    • What an interesting read @Paul Raven. Thank you so much for posting it. Annette
    • She’s riveting. And how she transitioned from utter devastation after the confrontation with Leslie to hopeful in the Ted scene—so seamless. She’s easily the most exciting actress I’ve seen in daytime in a looooooooong time. If she’s not the face of this show in a few months, they’re leaving money on the table.
    • Yeah either Leslie is a demented mother, or Leslie is not the real mother.
    • Ambyr is killing it per usual. The Eva and Leslie confrontation was GOOD. I gotta admit Ted taking in Eva and promising to do right by her made me cry.    See, he can still be a decent guy

    • Leslie threw Eva's photo in the kitchen garbage can.

She threw out that picture of Eva. Im convinced Eva is NOT her daughter. She has no maternal instinct. Thats Nicole's kid   awww Ted is getting her an apartment and he said he would never leave his daughter. I love it! I bet it will be better than that dump Leslie had her in and she better not open the door for her
    • Yeah, we missed it. Eva lost her job.
